After brooding around, Harry Potter ended up looking out a dirty window in an unused room in some unknown part of the castle. He was startled when he heard a voice close by say, “Hello?” A portrait that had seen better days started a conversation with him. Harry shortly learned that the vast majority of the portraits at Hogwarts are neglected and abandoned. Keeping up conversations, Harry became the most popular person the portraits wanted to talk to.
The portraits know every square inch of the castle, where everybody and everything is, what everybody is saying, what they’re doing, and with whom. Within a month, Harry became the most informed person in the castle. Nothing was sacred.

This is all your fault! Yes, you know who you are... You couldn't let the kids rest on their Fuddle Fog laurels... Just had to request a sequel, yeah?
September, 1992: the action shifts to Hogwarts, where the hunt for a cursed diary is bogging down. With Ginny stuck in detention, Harry finds himself racing down an unfamiliar corridor, desperately fleeing a lovesick dyslexic. Blundering into a dead end, Harry evades capture and chances upon a brilliant stroke of luck: a gallery of grateful gossips, snitches and spies, all very eager to set our plucky protagonists back on the trail.
Will our delightful duo succumb to the 'Air of Slytherin'? And what about a DADA professor who (surprise, surprise) is not quite who he claims to be?
