And The Winners Are….
“The Duel” Challenge gave us some very interesting ways in which Harry can triumph over Malfoy. And in a few cases, how they can both get away Scott free…or at least with some saving grace, or is that ‘face.’ There were even a few new curses we haven’t heard of before.

But before I get off track here, the judges have reached their decision and voted on their winners of The Duel.

The Award for Best Overall goes to:
“Where Death Walks” by Keira Azul

The Award for Most Romantic goes to:
“A Dream Deferred” by Sovran

The Award for Most Dramatic goes to:
“With the Sound of Settling Leaves” by Potter47

The Award for Most Adventurous goes to:
“Something More Scary” by aprilmoon92

The winning stories are now prominently listed in our Featured Stories section.

Those of you that have multiple chapters or need to do some editing may continue at this time. The Challenge category is back open. If your story is completed, please ensure it is edited and YES, as completed.

The Christmas Challenge is fast approaching. The Christmas holidays are for fun, relaxation, and for one, a time of decision.

PS: Some authors have asked if I would tell them how well they did in the judging. If you wish, e-mail me and I will tell you your results.

PPS: The December Challenge has an Open Invitation for any and all registered members (over three months) to be a judge. Please scroll down to the news article if you're interested. Also note, for the December Challenge only, I am using a different e-mail address.

You should give serious consideration to putting the html links in the announcements instead of just listing them in the Featured Stories Section. It's not that much extra work, and quite honestly, the FS section is so far down the scroll on the Kiss 2.0.1 layout that I use as my skin, that I never bother going down to it unless I'm totally desperate for something to read, whereas if I could click it in the announcement, I'd probably read the winners every time.

"Twins meddle," eh? Putting that together with "privacy," and yes, I can definitely see Fred and George meddling with someone else's privacy!

Outstanding! I am extremely proud of everyone that participated in this. I know first-hand how hard it was to judge this, but just think how much fun we are going to have at Christmas. We have a "Humor catagory"... Nicholas...what do you mean the elves are boycotting my stories? Hmm... Eric B
