Tech Update - Email Notifications Fixed

Steve and myself have determined and fixed what appears to be the problem with the notification system. The problem was attributed to various server timeouts being set too low. In retrospect this was a fairly obvious cause, however it evaded us for the better part of 3 days. Obvious in that the problems are easily linked to the server move, which suggests the server as the cause over the code. Our apologies to the readers of Rogue by _kb_ and Meaning of One by Sovran for the dozens of emails we sent your way. Take consolation in that fact that without you we probably wouldn't have found the problem. Once again, we thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter, and hope that things will be able to run smoothly from here on in. -Chris

If anyone encounters any errors, please let us know so that we may (attempt to) remedy them. This includes receiving duplicate emails (after 10 pm EST Mar 9) or being unable to validate stories. If you come across any other problems with the site we would be glad to look into them.
