And The Winners Are….
The next time you plan on decorating the inside of your room or house, these stories have some great ideas you can use. You better plan on having an army of maids to help keep it clean. The eighteen judges cleaned up their tally sheets and submitted their votes to award the author for the best magical trunk story. The four winners virtually ran away with most of the votes. There was an interesting shift in who was winning between the judges who voted early and those that voted later in the two weeks available. And now, the results…

The Award for Best Overall (a tie) goes to:
”Seventeen” by Sovran
and
”The Pool and Pizza Party Master 3000” by Mojomig

The Award for Best Trunk Design goes to:
”You Sent My Luggage Where?” by Spenser Hemmingway

The Award for Most Adventurous goes to:
”The Trunk of Requirement” by QwayMelqnu

The Award for Best Hidden Test goes to:
”Seventeen” by Sovran

The winning stories are now prominently listed in our Featured Stories sectionn. Those of you that have multiple chapters or need to do some editing may continue at this time. The Challenge category is back open. If your story is completed, please ensure it is edited and YES, as completed.

The 4-2007 Challenge is coming up shortly. It would be a good idea to brush up on your childhood imagination.

PS: Some authors have asked if I would tell them how well they did in the judging. If you wish, e-mail me and I will tell you your results.

PPS: 17, shelter, mission, test, hide, find, and notice your surroundings

Let me guess. The next clue will involve the names Peter and Wendy? Personally, I'd like to see a challenge about Harry Potter and the Infinite Recursions, concerning Harry writing a fanfic... about an author, writing a fanfic about Harry writing a fanfic about an author writing a...

MG and NerdLee came out of the woodwork on 2007.07.18 - 02:14AM to say:

You really should see Peter Pan. Everyone has to either read or watch Peter Pan AT LEAST once in their lifetime!

Spenser Hemmingway came out of the woodwork on 2007.07.18 - 10:43AM to say:

I actually performed in Peter Pan in high school. I was Nana the Saint Bernard, as well as one of the lost boys. I can almost remember some of the dance numbers. No, I'm too old and worn out to be breaking myself trying. I do remember enough of the song lyrics to be even more danderous during the Challenge.

kalechibki came out of the woodwork on 2007.07.19 - 08:36AM to say:

My favorite moment from doing Peter Pan on stage is when one of the "trees" fell during "I won't grow up." (no lost boys were crushed). For the rest of the show, the Pirates (I was one of them) lamented ad lib lines about the fake tree trap that just never works and carried it around (over our heads between three of us - even when chasing the lost boys), continually looking for another place to put it.
