And The Winners Are….

More than forty-eight hours have passed for our judges to make their decisions. The stories were vast as they were different. Some traveled in time, some to places, some familiar and some not. But in the end Harry and Ginny each got their messages across and became a couple again.

And now the winners….

The award for Best Overall and Best Use of 48 Hrs goes to:
”All the Time and Space You Need” by M_And

The award for Best Drama goes to:
”Broken” by Mutt N Feathers

The award for Best Reconciliation goes to:
”Two Days of Quidditch” by matilda

Honorable Mention goes to:
”These Sweet Stolen Moments” by RSS
for a high number of votes without winning a category.

The winning stories are now prominently listed in our Featured Stories section. Those of you that have multiple chapters or need to do some editing may continue at this time. The Challenge category is back open. If your story is completed, please ensure it is edited and YES, as completed.

The 2010-3 Challenge is coming shortly. Get a good night’s sleep!

I would like to thank my many judges who worked hard for this Challenge: AM, BP, CM, CP, EB, IV, JM, NSL, RS, & YC. You know who you are. Thank you very much for all that reading and judging. It wasn’t easy this time around. The Challenge would not exist if nobody judged them.

Some authors have asked if I would tell them how well they did in the judging. If you wish, e-mail me and I will tell you your results.  Don't forget to tell me who you are or the name of your story.  You'ld be surprised how often that happens.

PS.: They disappear, forty eight hrs, and where would you go?

I really liked I very much wanted to submit an entry, but I had my last finals week/month ever at uni for my undergrad, and figured passing those classes and writing those papers was probably more relevant even if the work was less appealing. I may write a one shot on this idea later. One of the better challanges here, though I thought the set up was a bit awkward, the idea was top notch.

AoiKazeToMidoriAme - thank you for your interest in the recent Challenge. But I agree uni is more important and comes first. There are six Challenges a year. maybe you can enter the next one June 1st. Good luck.

Wow! I'm abolutely shocked! Thanks to all who read and reviewed. Thanks to all the judges, who always have to plow through a batch of great stories. Congratualtions to the other winners, and a hardy job well done to all the other entrants. Finally, I would like to once again say thanks to cwarbeck and Spenser Hemmingway for their contributions to this effort. I am a firm believer in the value of good betas. - Mike

Mutt N Feathers came out of the woodwork on 2010.05.29 - 04:37PM to say:

I was blown away not only at winning an award, but at the reviews that have been left. It's been so much fun for me, and is truly one of the bright spots in my year (thus far). Thanks everyone.

Spenser Hemmingway came out of the woodwork on 2010.05.31 - 09:28AM to say:

Lily train? Hmm...I know! Harry and Ginny purchase a railroad--the company that owns the Hogwarts Express. Their daughter Lily, being a very bright young lady, convinces herself that she can drive that fine locomotive. After a long yet hilarious chase, the family is finally able to stop the train and the girl just before they slam into the barracade at Hogsmeade. That has to be it! Am I ever wrong about a Challenge (not counting all those other times I don't want to talk about)?
