Wow, poor Molly really needs help. Whether it was an accident or not, this should be a wake-up call for the entire family. Hermione and Ron are being a bit awkward in the way they are talking and handling everything. It makes sense for Ron, who had his moments of being a git in the books, but it is surprising to see Hermione acting like this.
Author's Response: Yeah. Different people hand grief in different ways. It will be a big wake up call for everyone involved. Hermione and Ron have both never really faced loss or grief before. They have in many ways been sheltered from the evil that both Harry and Ginny faced so they don't really have any coping skills in dealing with grief or loss. Harry reacted badly after his fourth year, but he's learned better how to cope.
Author's Response: It is the basic difference between someone whose worst fear is failing all of their classes and a Dementor.

Yep, it's me again! I'm back! I'm like a bad penny, can't get rid of me! I was confused a moment during the dinner with the Grangers. One moment, Hermione has Ron across the garden and a few lines later (3-4) she's commenting on something as if she'd never left.
Author's Response: I reread the chapter and I think in the part you are talking about, Ron and Hermione are across the garden and Harry and Ginny are talking to the Grangers. When Jane asks about their plans for the next year, Ron and Hermione join them. Is that the part you are talking about?

Hermione really gets to me. "WHEN" they break up? Really? Way to be supportive. She thinks she knows Harry so well, but she doesn't know a thing. If she actually bothered to listen to him instead of telling him what he should do and think, she'd know that Harry was serious about Ginny.
Author's Response: I see Hermione as someone who has a hard time believing young love. She doesn't have a lot of experience with relationships and I've always seen her as someone who wouldn't want to get married until she's older. To her way of thinking there is no way Harry and Ginny could have a serious relationship at their ages. Because she can't envision having a serious relationship at that point, she can't see Harry and Ginny having one. I know a lot of people want her and Ron to jump into a serious relationship and I've read stories where they marry within a year, but I don't see that happening. Harry and Ginny have both faced their own mortality and have matured faster than Ron and Hermione. I think Ron is beginning to mature, but I don't see him wanting to marry for a while. Hermione hasn't really faced major challenges. Ron and Hermione faced some fighting in the final battle, but they really had a very limited role in the war.

Oh Merlin... are you trying to give me a heart attack? Poor Mrs Weasley.
Apart from that, I love every bit of Ron, Harry and Ginny meeting the Grangers. You kept your characters according to the personalities given them by JKR and for that,, I am most delighted. Ron still talks before thinking and that adds to dramatic effect. Marvelous.

There must be something about the date this chapter got updated because I cannot understand why there are no reviews. What a dramatic ending.
