I loved this chapter. Your handling of the second task was great.

I'm rather curious where the whole Charlie thing is going. I have some theories as to what might be happening but not a clue about how you'll eventually make it matter to the story. Should be interesting to see.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad your curious!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for using all the mind-easing parts of the story JKR left out! I love Harry spouting Dumbledore's philosophy about choices and that he believes it isn't anyone's fault who their relatives are. That idea had to be liberating for Anna! And then you actually let Neville help Harry the night before the second task, which then allowed him to get more sleep than he did in canon and helped Neville feel valued! Bravo! Also, thank you for showing what went on on shore while Harry and the others were in the lake. I've always imagined it to be rather boring for the spectators, but you've managed to make waiting sound like fun.

Finally, I'm glad Bill and Charlie make the effort to get together occasionally. While Bill may not understand Charlie's philosophy towards women, it still gives them time to catch up on what's going on with the other and maintain that familial bond they had growing up.

Well done!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I completely agree with you that Harry's comments to Anna were highly liberating. Whether we like Dumbledore or not, and I fully admit I have moments of both, he did have some amazing one-liners in the books and in the movies. I'm glad you liked Neville coming to the rescue for Harry with his Herbology knowledge. I couldn't imagine them not trying to help when Harry was obviously stressed out, overwhelmed, and completely alone. As for Bill and Charlie, they are great brothers and so fun to write! Bill is the perfect big brother in so many ways, and since JKR told us so little about Charlie, we can let our imaginations run wild!

Anna's reaction to Harry's statement about relatives made me wonder if she'd learned a bit more about her origin in the meanwhile, if she maybe talked with Ginny about one Tom Riddle during her dress-up sessions.
On the other hand, I don't think that you would let something such important happen in the off.
I'm really curious if, when, and how Anna's background will have an impact on Harry's destiny. And what Charlie has to do with it.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! You are quite correct that Anna is unaware of who Tom Riddle became. Since most of wizarding society says "you know who" or "the dark Lord" or "Voldemort", she has not made the connection at all. Of course, just realizing that your mother was conceived in the violent way her mother was would be horribly difficult for any teenage girl.

Really great depiction of the 3rd task! Like how you worked Anna into it! The Charlie and Anna angle is interesting! Couldn't help but notice Anna's reaction to Harry's statement about your choices make you who you are! Can't wait for the next one! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Anna did react to Harry's statement in a very important way. Choices being more important than anything is central to Anna's story and everyone's future.

Interesting chapter! I really liked that Neville got to prove his worth and give Harry the solution for the second task.
I'm really curious as to what's going on with Charlie regarding Anna. There surely must be someone behind the way he's feeling and a reason for it

Author's Response: Thank you so much! Neville had the information, so it was only for Harry to ask for some help, and given the relationships between the characters, I thought it was reasonable for Harry to request a bit of assistance. As to Charlie's feelings for Anna, well that is rather complicated.

I was always wondering who had to decide whom the champions would sorely miss. Whoever it is must have a fast and subtle perception, right? Recently, I had this very discussion in a review for another story. Eventually, we agreed that it could only be the Goblet. (Of course, I know that it can only be the author of the story, but I haven't told anybody, lol)

Ah, before I forget, I'm really curious what you've planned for Charlie. If his confusion about Anna is more a long shot, or if it'll affect the outcome of the third task. After all Thessaly isn't so far away from the Albanian forests. I guess, that I'll know sometime soon.

Many thanks for another great chapter!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review! I'll tell you honestly that Charlie will not have any impact upon the third task. As to those held as captives for the second task, I decided it would be best to stick to JKR's originals!
