Wow. Just give me a minute to let all that sink in. I have said this in a previous review, but I will say it again. Your story is by far the most plausible 7th book I have read. You have taken all the snipets we have read from JKR about the last book and you make them work realistically. I can't go on enough about how accurate I think you are writing things. By far the best Post HBP story I have read.
So many things are just fantastic. The way they found the Horcruxes. Destroying the Horcruxes they found. NOT living in caves, but keeping in touch with the Order and living in Grimmauld Place (now Hogwarts).
I still am adament about Harry NOT being a horcrux, but this is a fan fiction for a reason and it does work in your story. I really think (well, hope actually) that JKR uses Ginny they way you have. It worked for Dumbledore to bring an underage wizard along, why shouldn't it for Harry?
I believe it will be Aunt Petunia who develops the ability to use magic, and I think Harry will go and talk to Dumbledore's portrait sometime during the book, but besides that I could see everything else happening! Kudos!
Umbridge....Although her demise was definitely poetic/ironic justice, I couldn't help but feel that was a bit too violent. All I kept thinking was how there were children in the crowd and now they have to witness something like that. (Not that Voldemort or his followers care).
This chapter just shows us that there are all kinds of evil in this world, and to be wary of those who seek power. Voldemort, Dudley, Umbridge. All three of them in the same room. Can it get much worse?
While I was sad to see what happened to Tonks and Remus, I know people will have to die in the last book. Personally if i had the power to save two people after Harry I would choose Neville and Ginny, so I can't really cry "How COULD YOU!!" now can I?
This chapter definitely deserves a 10 rating (I'd give it higher if I could).
Looking forward to the next chapter. The Durselys, The Order, and the Malfoys all at Hogwarts. Dursleys, The Order, Malfoys! Oh My!
Author's Response: Wow! Thanks so much! I'm glad it could stir such emotion in people. When I started writing this, I was really wavering on whether or not I think Harry is a Horcrux, but I must say - heh - I've convinced myself. As I went looking for things to support my story ideas, I really have been swayed to the idea. I agree that Harry will talk to DD's portrait, but hasn't JKR already denied that Aunt Petunia will be magic? I now think we've already seen the person late in life - Merope.

OMG! OMG! OMG! Not Remus & Tonks! That would just break my heart. I loved the way you wrote how they stared at each other...sigh...I sincerely hope you're wrong about the possibility of them being the two that are killed in book 7! I don't want any of my favorites to die...but Remus & Tonks would kinda make sense.
As to the Star Wars reference...LOVED IT!
Can't wait for the next update...

Wow! That chapter left me in shock. Didn't see any of that coming - especially the part with Dudley. Fits well with what you have written so far.
Glad to see Umbridge got what was coming to her though - the evil little toad. I bet you had fun writing that!
If Tonks and Remus had to die, I was glad they were together at the end. More guilt for poor Harry now I am afraid. This is exactly why he deserves to survive in the end and live a happy quiet life with Ginny (both in this story and in canon.)
I must say that I am very glad that I have this story to enjoy in the long wait for book 7. I love your writing style and won't be at all surprised to see some of your plot points show up in canon. Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Aww, thanks very much. I'm glad it's helping to pass the time. That's why I'm writing it ;) I did enjoy writing Umbridge, actually - not just her demise. She's such a vile woman, but I thought she worked well for this story. Now...the Dudley is my new toy. Hee Hee.

... ok, I've had a chance to read something fluffy, so I'm somewhat over my shock now... *wry smile*
It was incredibly sad to see Remus and Tonks die... But I think it counts for something that they died together. I also like that it gave Harry the strength to get out, and that they managed to advise Harry on Lupin's findings before they died, and that Remus got to say goodbye to Harry...
You know I figured I'd enjoy seeing Umbridge taken out... but when it happened... well as much as it may have been poetic justice, all I could feel was a mute horror...

That means that you're a very decent person - you'd be one of the good guys ;) I do like the idea of Remus and Tonks going together, something sad and heartbreaking but very romantic about it. I thought, anyway, and Harry needed a final push to galvanize him into action. He has one more Horcrux to find before the final confrontation.
PS. - I always do that, too - go read something fluffy after an angsty chapter.

You know, I'm actually not mad at you! If you had just killed Remus or just killed Tonks I would have been - but they died together, so that's ok.
I liked the thing with Dudley. It was different. I always enjoy stories where the Dursely's get involved some way or another. It's just so funny to watch them squirm.
Umbridge's death could not have been more perfect. Leave it to the people she tried so hard to not have any rights to kill her. WHOO! Hopefully Remus got in on some of that action.

Awesome chapter. For the first time we've seen a hint that when the time comes Harry can defeat Moldy-pants.
Umbridge was the classic Chamberlain fool. Still... I think Harry should have had the satisfaction of dealing with the Toad. He's suffered so much and lost so much at her hands.
While losing Remus and Tonks hurts the question is... if it didn't hurt would it be dramatic? Who else would the readers prefer die? Hagrid? Arthur? Molly? Fred? George? McGonagall? At this point you can't have any of the characters from the side of light die and not devastate someone. I applaud you for a brave choice.

This chapter just blew me away!
My jaw fell to the floor when you unveiled Dudley, but by the end I had forgotten about him.
I'm almost lost for words. This had the feel of a JKR climax chapter about it. So much happens, so fast. Very very well written.
I'm in shock about Remus and Tonks, but at least they went together. Never written this before in a review, but don't rush the next chapter, I need time to recover! Brilliant.
