I feel sorry for Luna..for all her supposed lunacy, your last comment shows clear sanity.
I'm shocked at how surprised the rest of them are.
I cant see Harry letting the minister deny him seeing Ginny:-)

ITs nice to see harry work with his magic...and remus should know better then to humor harry at all....molly got an eye opener today about harry...kutgw and glad ginny is going ot be ok...mister is gong to have a little explaning to do and harry will not take one little bit of it.

Well this is all interesting. I'm curious to see how this all pans out.
It doesn't seem to me that Ginny didn't exactly think her plan out too well. Seems like she just impulsively decided to do it and didn't matter who got swept up in the wake (hmmm... much like a certain Green eyed wizard is prone to do at times.) .
I mean truthfully if the Ministry weren't so corrupt it is possible Tonks could end up losing her job at the least and being prosecuted at the worst for aiding and abetting a juvenille deliquent.
Another consequence of her actions is she managed to make herself a much greater distraction to Harry than she would have otherwise, even if she went with the Trio.
I'll be interested in the fall out of all this... in her relationship with her family... and with Harry. I think Harry once he gets over his anger can understand... it is similar to what he'd do... but it also might be an object lesson for him... doing things unsupported like that often don't end well.
Author's Response: That's an awful lot of planning though, for it to be spontaneous. I don't know, you'll just have to see ;-)
As to whether or not Ginny will cater to Harry's every whim, we'll just see in July, won't we?

One of the things I find interesting about this story is how each person's actions are shaped by his or her incomplete perspectives on salient events. Of course, being human, our perspectives are of necessity somewhat incomplete.... :-} In this case, though, the lack of completeness has several origins -- in some cases, folks with the information refuse to share it (for various reasons); in some cases, folks are constrained by magical vows.
I'm glad to see that Arthur remains a person of character, and won't abide Scrimgeour "blackmailing" (or should that actually be "extorting?" Hmm.... I should have raised that question earlier.) Harry merely to avoid some inconvenience.
So a few more puzzle-pieces click into place, eh...? :-)

Author's Response: hehe... It's really fun keeping the characters in the dark, actually. I enjoy doing that.
I totally forgot I'd killed off Scrimgeour until I went to look at my 'dead list' and I had to rewrite part of the chapter. I still have to think up who the interim minister is... unless I named him/her and I don't remember.
*sigh* I hate nyquil ;-)

Over all good chapter your a good writer like I have told you before bit short for my taste but im very pleased that Harry is starting to show more powers BUT not to pleased with the cliff again though i can understand since you need something to keep your readers hooked and waiting for the next chapter also a little short for my tastes but beggers can't be choosers
Author's Response: It's more that I hit my word limit and have to stop, actually but yeah, cliff hangers keep everyone hooked and coming back. I'm trying to conscientiously boost up Harry's knowledge/power over the next bit. We'll see how it goes.

Finlly Ginny is free from the Nott's. Yet much of the mystery remains. It has been long apparent that Tonks had a role with Ginny, Luna's was more discreet, and even Crookshanks popped up under close scrutiny, but, we need more exlpanation. This whole idea of Ginny being charged is so ludicrous, but it will give Harry chance to kick-ass on the Ministry and the jerks that work there. I hope we find out more details about the rescue attempt and what caused the battle to begin with.
Author's Response: Ginny being charged is ludicrous, but it is the Ministry, after all... things are starting to come together but the mystery is not over yet. ;-)
