Harry may be and older mentally and youthful body wise but I still disagree with his logic.

I'm going to trust you on this, but I don't like him going through with this.

If she didn’t her whole life could be ruined. If this failed, she may never fall for him then what would he do? She would be trapped in a marriage to someone she was only friends with. He didn’t think that he could stand to see her unhappy for the rest of their lives.

How old is harry supossed to be because i think anyone as old as harry is not stupid enough to believe that tripe. Ginny loves him for him, making it out as if she just loves him because he saves her just sounds like some kind of hero worship. The real love is for the person he is and not for that one act. She has seen enough of his heroics and noble and blah blah blah attributes. You would think he would know this since he knew her well enough to marry her. He must know enough about love to know that he doesnt have to save her to get it. She already seems to have gotten over the crush on him and he just saved her in that alley. Harry acting this stupid just puts me of the story cause i hate to see someone i like acting like a complete fool. Things are different in this timeline how does he know that they will all be petrified cause events wont happen exactly the same. Also I still think it is incredibly selfish to let ginny go through this experence. If i was ginny when i found out i would be very pissed and probably hate him for letting that happen to me. Also hasnt the fact they already share some kind of bond show him that they are already starting to have a strong relationship between them.

I know its too late for anything to be change now as its already written but i hope as i read on that he will come to his senses before its too late. If he doesnt stop this soon i myself will hate him and stories arnt very enjoyable when you hate the main character. Gah it makes me so frustrated with him....

Other than that the stories great.

I really think Harry should have been smarter and listened to Dumbledore and Sirius. Since he's almost a "teenager" though, I shouldn't really expect him to listen to "adults".

Awesome story, but how in the world are they currently married? Is it part of the spell that Harry cast when he went back in time or did something happen once he came back?

i enjoying this story the more and more i read it. i don;t really understand why it would be Ginny Potter though, caus techniqually the marriage wouldn't have happened yet.

Be glad. Be very glad that I was unable to post a review immediately after reading this chapter. FFNet's problem with accepting reviews saved you from a rather (much more) negative review. I've had time since then to reconsider a few things, so here is my (somewhat less)negative review:

Harry is making a monumental mistake. I cannot *ever* see an in-character Ginny ever forgiving him for this if she is possessed, let alone if anyone dies. This, in fact, could be the easiest way Harry could guarantee that she is in a loveless marriage. His desire for her to love him reminds me more of a stalker than husband.

The only way out of this mess I can see is if Ginny takes to heart what Harry told her and gets rid of the diary before she did in the canon - perhaps just after Mrs Norris dies? (You do realize that with all the changes that have been made to the timeline, the odds of the same people being 'petrified' are extreme, and it is all but certain that at least one of them will die rather than be petrified, as it was only unusual situations that allowed for petrification instead of death?) Mrs Norris dying would have more of an impact on her that mere petrification, and it would similarly affect Harry - showing him that his foreknowledge is no longer trustworthy as to its exactness, given that so many changes have been made. The deaths would also put pressure on Harry from Dumbledore, as Dumbledore will realize that Harry cannot in truth assure that no students will die, if he cannot even prevent / correctly predict the petrification of a cat.

If Ginny loses the diary (to Harry or to a professor or even the Headmaster) then Harry will have another opportunity to think this through rationally. Harry's irrationality in regards to Ginny is beginning to grate on me. He should be rational enough to realize that Ginny would never love him if she went through this and later realized that Harry could have prevented it but chose instead to allow it for entirely selfish and irrational reasons. As with Bill Murray in 'Groundhog's Day,' trying to re-create a situation perfectly is almost always doomed to failure. Too many minor details will differ, and the whole feel will be off because of it. Harry needs to realize that Ginny cares for him already, that putting her through hell for his own pleasure will only put her off him. If she loses the diary before the possession gets too deep and before any students are affected then Harry will have a chance to consider this rationally and not arrange for her to re-find the diary again. Then he and the Headmaster can slay the serpent in the CoS before it becomes a real issue.

Also, consider what Ginny tells Tom in the canon. She views him as a friend to whom she can safely tell anything - such as her almost ending up in Slytherin, such as Harry being able to look into her mind and speak directly to the Sorting Hat, such as the Sorting Hat actually *listening* to Harry's order - something that only the Founders or their Heirs should be able to do (not that Ginny would realize this, but Tom certainly should), such as Harry's authority over Peeves (something only the headmaster or possibly an heir would likely have), such as Harry's serpent and phoenix (the former showing he is a parselmouth, the latter showing his extreme devotion to the light - both of which would be useful knowledge for Tom, especially considering that the CoS requires a parselmouth for entry and the many uses of a phoenix - tears, flame travel, etc). Then there are Harry's occasional 'hunches' that turn out to be correct. While Dumbledore may not put much stock in prophesies, Tom most certainly does. He would take such hunches into consideration in future plans, knowing that at least two layers of redundancy will be needed - in case Harry has a 'hunch' about the first layer of the plan, attack, etc. Then there is the fact that Harry is unusually powerful for his age and remarkably knowledgeable - often in the top few spots for his year.

So just from the basic information Ginny might ignorantly impart to the diary, Tom would realize that Harry is remarkably powerful and knowledgeable for his age, an Heir of a founder (likely Gryffindor considering which house he is in), has remarkable authority over Hogwarts, has some trace of foresight that occasionally aids him, is a parselmouth (and thus might be able to access the CoS if Tom isn't careful - perhaps spreading his attacks out more, both in timing and in locations throughout Hogwarts - to keep its location secret), and has a serpent and a phoenix to aid him (the latter allowing for swift healing from anything, flame travel, etc). That is a tremendous amount of useful knowledge - far more than he had in canon. His choices will differ due to this, and the timeline will be further altered.

Ginny not including much if not all of this in the 'harmless' diary (as she viewed it) would be out of character for her. Harry should have taken this into consideration. Note that despite the death of the diary in canon, Voldemort in book four seems to still have its knowledge - so even if the diary is destroyed, the knowledge will still be known to Voldemort, further endangering Harry's cause.

All in all, this decision to allow Ginny to write in the diary rather than just destroying it, is one of the most dangerous and irrational Harry has made since coming back. If you play this directly to the rescue in the chamber, then Ginny should all but hate him once she learns the truth - perhaps requiring years before she trusts him again, if ever. If it lasts even long enough for a student to be petrified or die (and, yes, one or more should die this time, as the attacks should occur at different times and places - with the possible exception of the first one, which seemed more a test run that ran afoul of Mrs Norris and had to be aborted early) then Ginny will not trust Harry for years as she will feel partially responsible and will know that she never would have done it had not Harry allowed it.

I hope that in future chapters Harry will act a little more rationally.

Despite all this, your writing remains exceptional for its lack of spelling errors, etc, so I have rated this chapter a 6.

Author's Response: Heathers (Co Authurs Reply.): first off I would like to ask how is Harry acting like a stalker? He is only doing what he thinks will be the best for her. That is what a husband does. Second who said Mrs. Norris dies?? When did she ever die. You are asuming that the people were petrified due to freek acidents. Well someone had to flood the floors. That to me says that she was fighting him. Now that is canon and this is au. Anything could happen. Just because things have been changed does not mean that someone must automaticaly die. Sometimes fate makes things happen no mater what you do. I'm sure Harry already knows that no mater what he knows from the future that things could be diferent . Why do you thik he is nervous about this. But he is trying to do what is best. As for canon Ginny, I don't agree. Sure she would be pissed and Harry would have to watch out for a while. But in the long run it would be ok. With out the chamber experiance she would be a totally diferent person. And I doubt she would be as strong as turned out to be. Not to mention she wouldn't be able to understand everything Harry goes through. I'm sure that she would forgive him at some point. But this isn't canon this is AU. So it is compleatly up to us how it comes out. And if Harry actions seame selfish well... What teenager isn't. Heck what teenager thinks rationally? Last their was no proof that old moldie recived the knowlage the diary self colected. (My Response in here. Actually he dont. even if he did in canon, he WONT in my story. cause hell its my story and i cna change it to how i see fit) Voldemort only knew that Harry had destroyed it. He could have got all his info about that from Wormtail. He was in the perfect position to hear all the details about that. So yeah please keep in mind that this is AU and much of what you broght up either dosen't apply becaues of that or is purly secumstantiall.

Author's Response: Now My time to reply: Please Please Please. Where the hell does it say people will die. you know i might go back and edit that line because it gives people the feeling people are goign to die. Please Not To ALL! No one is going to die. Okay so onto your points... You might not see Ginny forgiven him but i can and basicly im the authur and i can do what i want. This does not mean im going to make it easy on harry. certainly not. harry Defiantly goes through some ruff patches before harry and ginny sort it out. nadlike heather. were the hell does it say mrs norris dies. she dosent where did you ge tthe idea that she does! the water on thr floor is from flooding. know i have to disagree with heather here. i dont think she thought back here. i dint think she totally understood what was happenign here untill later. the point of harry that he cant predict the future all the time does happn in my story. and like a rather rusde wake up call in third year. so it does happen. BUT it wont happen now. why cause im the writer and i get to decide that. as i said inm heathers response. No where in canon and No where in my story will Voldemort have the memories of what tom got from ginny. that is part of voldemorts soul yes. but its seperate from him now. and harry kills it. never given it the chance to tlk to older voldemort never given the chance for voldemort to get that information. Also please note that in canon ginny wasnt best friends with harry! i beilieve that ginny wouldnt never betray harry. didnt harry say dont tel anyone. your on about canon ginny. do you see canon ginny after haryr telling her not to tell anyone! about that to go tell Tom? i dont know about you but i certaintly dont! i dont see ginny telling tom any of harry's secrets, estelle simon or that he has control over peeves, or the ability to read minds. or anything else ginny's knows. yes of course she wil ltlk to tom about harry. she has deep feelings for harry. (Not love!) but at the moment deep feelinsg for him. how ever all of this is built on that future voldemort gets tom's memory's no where in canon does it say he does. of course he learns that it is destroyed because lucious tells him when he comes back, but NEVER has it ever said in canon that Voldemort got his memories of that. also why should the attacks be different this time? yes i agree with you on the first one it does seem like a test run. but where do you get that others wil be different. attack on colin. i see that happenign the same, harry gets hurt because of the rougue bludger, (damn spoiler in here but its not much of one.) ginny writes to tom about how worried she is, and colin tries to sneak up to see him. gets attacked, sam esituation. or as im the authur i cna make up a different one! The rest of your information that i havent talked about is totaly irelavant because yet again as my co authur as kindly put it. it is AU and it might not happen liek that!

i loved this chapter, but i would recommend that you have Harry watch how he talks around the other kids or the may start to think something is up.

Now, if I were Ginny, I'd never forgive Harry if he made me go through that. I understand where he's coming from, but... *hugs Ginny*

Great chapter, but I can't believe Harry is acting so narrow minded about this. Surely, he should understand that Ginny doesn't need to go through this ordeal to fall in love with him... If her love is based solely on Harry saving her life, the it doesn't sound like a steady form of love, but rather the old hero-worship kind of love she felt before.

pls, pls, pls, tell me that no one is actually going to get hurt. if that happens ginny is not fgoing to forive him. they're already married? how? i just hope he is making the right decision by allowing her have the diary. maybe she will realise what the diary is doing and tell someone about it earlier. at least, i don't think she will write in it as much this time because she will definitely have someone to talk to. so less ppl might actually get hurt and hopefuly no one dies. the way you ended the chapter makes me think someone will. and i don't think harry wants his wife to have someones death on her conscience. oh well, i am definitely hoping for more soon. this is the longest review i have ever written. bye! wait? what is the prank that is coming next? i'm actually worried about the poor slytherins now that ginny is with them.

I see that I'm not the only one bothered by the fact that Harry is leaving the diary in Ginny's hands. Hasn't he taken into account the fact that Ginny's feelings have already changed toward him since they've known each other for years. In the previous timeline she really didn't know him that well. Couldn't that be enough to change her feelings? Why subject her to such a horrible ordeal?

This is one of the drawbacks of doing redo fics - trying to stick too close to canon. It's your fic and I'll continue to read it to see how you resolve things since this is SIYE and that suggests that things DO work out for them. I just hope that it doesn't backfire on Harry.

Great chapter the whol sorting was very well done although it you think that it would have sent a clear message to harry that thing are changing (iam pretty sure it was toms infulance that was making the sorting hat put ginny in slytherine just like with harry BTW you should read the grey madien sires as that has a slytherine harry & ginny that actully works).

I know it your story and iam sure youve have evrything worked out but iam still having troubel thinking harry & now dumbledor & sirus are willing to let the whole chamber episode run its full corse.
