Well written depiction of PTSD. Bill is truly a tower of calm strength in this story.

That was easily the best chapter so far! I loved almost every moment. It was quite touching when Mrs. Weasley took care of Harry at the start. The moments between Harry, Ginny and Teddy were very sweet. The memorial service and the scenes at the end were highly emotional and almost reduced me to tears. My favorite moment was when everyone was teasing Ginny about the picture book on Harry and I laughed madly when Ginny teased Ron about the box of letters, marked "Letters from the future Mrs. Ronald Weasley. If the next chapters turn out to be even better, then this will easily be my favorite fanfic.

What a sad chapter, poor Dennis looking so lost and forlorn, and Ron and Harry having to help George. And to top it all off, flashing green lights. Very touching.

What an amazing chapter:-)

We had the hilarity of the aftermath of the quidditch game and the teasing of Ginny's "Harry Potter" book,

Then we had the sheer despair of the memorial service.

Followed by the drama of the fireworks that caused such a sever reaction in Harry.

even managed to feed him a bottle and subsequently burp him without getting into too much strife.
Not an easy task I can tell you lol!!!

The memorial scene was on od the hardest piece of writing I've ever read, hlf way though the tears started to cascade down my cheeks. It was a beautiful piece of writing as was the reat of the chapter. You mixed alot of emotions in there.

Author's Response: I am intimately familiar with the bottle and burp routine roflol Yep Emotion Alley that's where I live :P

aww poor harry. i'm seriously starting to feel bad for him. before, he would just mope around and blame himself for everything, but now he's not able to sleep because of the killing curse sent towards those he loved. I hope he gets better. Mrs. Weasley will know what to do :DDDD
this story is getting much more suspiscious by the chaper.

What a wonderful story you're weaving, Kezza! I love Harry and George's argument; there are so many things that Harry needed to get off his chest, and even though they were hurtful at the time, they needed to be said. Harry has not had the opportunity in any of the books to properly mourn the people he's lost and what he said to George is as valuable as what George said to him. I keep specifically thinking about how angry Harry was in OotP, but if you really think about it, he was mostly protesting the system set up by Fudge and Umbridge and not venting his deep-seated longing for things he never had in that book. Here, in chapters six and seven, you've given Harry the outlet he needs to finally vent and clense the poisons from his system so that healing can finally take place.

Harry's actions in chapters six, seven and eight are so real! As I was reading, I could see my husband curling up like Harry did after we received news that a dear friend had finally succumbed to cancer; my husband's grief looked exactly like Harry's. I've also seen him hug himself, as Harry does, when we've argued a couple of times. Those are not particularly happy memories for me, because I'm the one my husband seemed to be shrinking from!

On a happier note, I loved the Quidditch match. What a great way to start memorializing Fred--and the other Quidditch players who died. Luna and Lee arguing about the weather and Loser's Lurgy was a funny touch as was Fleur's indignation that no one had thought to ask her to play when Percy clearly didn't want to. I'm glad, too, that Harry proved that he is the best Seeker Gryffindor ever had, but what a bummer that he ended up getting hurt at the end... stupid broom!

I had to smile during the section that covered Harry's besotting over Ginny holding Teddy; the fact that he was able to confide in Charlie that he does indeed love Ginny definitely left me with a warm feeling inside. If he can readily admit his feelings to one of her "less frightening" brothers and not fear for his life, then there is a potential for wedding bells in the future. Besides, Harry and Ginny are good for each other and need to be together!

Finally, as sad as the Memorial Service was, I'm glad you included it. You gave the community of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade the chance to say good-bye and have positive closure to an event the consequesces of which will definitely rock the Wizarding world. You had me weeping over Dennis Creevey and Ron coming up to support Harry as he carved 'Severus Snape' into the memorial stone. I'm just sorry that Harry is suffering from Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and can't enjoy the fireworks meant to cheer everyone up. Thank goodness Bill was there to help him through it!

This story has me mesmerised, so I'm off to see what Chapters 11 through 15 have in store. I my wake, I'm leaving two thumbs up for making me want to read on.

Author's Response: I think you're the first person who didn't hate that argument! I copped a lot of heat for that when it first posted! I find it cliche that Harry fears for his life among Ginny's brothers. I don't want to write about that, I want them to love him ... *awwwwwwww* Onwards then to 15 - I'd love to know what you think of 15!

I'm assuming Harry is suffering from post traumatic stress? This story is really great! I'm staying up WAY too late, but I can't seem to keep myself from going on to the next chapter!

Author's Response: I would call it a form of post traumatic stress yes. I just sort of made it up as I went along *blushes* I was more thinking how he'd take a while to settle back down and how things might make him react. make sure you get enough sleep! The story isn't going anywhere!

harry is bound to have some trauma after all whats happened to him, he isn't exactly going to spring back t being a normal person! i like the ending as it shows just that, it also show that bill is like a big brother to him too. good chapter!

Author's Response: I heart Bill ...

You had me in tears most of the chapter.

Update soon, please!

Author's Response: Oh dear, I do hope you didn't run out of tissues ;) . Hopefully next week won't seem too far away :D

Geez, you are totally brilliant! How on earth do you write a story that can make grown men cry, and make it so real you feel as if you are there? The Memorial was sad beyond belief, and the fireworks were a masteerpiece in tribute to Fred, and to Harry's feelings of love and guilt and hurting so much for those he missed, and still thinks he should have been able to do something about.

Thank you for this story, this chapter, and for those to come.

Darian

Author's Response: Making grown men cry is my specialty... ;) Seriously, I didn't know I could do that. Oh, and You're Welcome :D

Yet another very powerful, emotional chapter!

My favorite line: “I was thinking about getting Teddy a book, what sort of wizard storybooks did you read when you were little?”

Yes, watching a man interact well with babies is incredibly attractive...and you captured that very well in this scene. Thanks for the quick update!

Author's Response: Men with babies make me swoon...I'm such a cliche...and you're welcome on the update - although I didn't think it would be until Friday lol. I guess the queue isn't as clogged as it was last week! Who knows...there might be more on Friday...don't hold your breath...!)

sorry about that. I have been reading too much fan fiction and got some details mixed up. love your story

Author's Response: Never mind - I read too much too and nearly put something in the story that was fanon myself...good thing I checked!

Ever since I read DH I have been wondering about what harry is going to do about his mother. Is he going to leave her at the ministry to be studied or is he going to take over her care? If he leaves her at the ministry will they let him visit? I wonder about how you are going to aproach the subject.

Author's Response: Um I'm not sure because I don't know what you mean about 'his mother'. Harry's mother is dead. I can't think of anything that you could be referrng to that Harry might have to take over the care of or leave at the Ministry for study.

Of all the post-DH stories out there, I think this is my favorite. You're doing a great job of examining the post-traumatic stress that is affecting Harry, and the grief that they are all working through despite the fact they "won." The emotions are real, and Ginny hasn't acted like a shrew (which I've seen a lot of, it seems). I thank you for that, and I look forward to your updates.

Author's Response: Wow, that's ...well ... being the favourite, makes a gal all warm and fuzzy  I'm not a fan of shrewish Ginny at all. I have felt like I've seen a lot of that also frnakly relieved it's not just me! yay, Am not alone! lol) As someone who enjoys your stories it's lovely to know you are enjoying my little offering. Thanks heaps for reviewing, I hope you continue to enjoy the updates.
