Wow, werewolf legislation that makes no sense at all. I am glad at least Percy is not involved in this nonsense. The Weasley family seems to be falling apart somewhat. It is understandable, but I hope they pull it together soon.

Wow, quite the string of emergencies to have in one chapter--and then we find out that Ginny's period is coming next week, and poor Harry doesn't know it. . . That should be fun.
Thanks!

Fear can make people over-react and this seems what Lavender's uncle (?) is going. It's a bit worrying what people in power can actually do...
Who's going to tell Harry why Ginny and Hermione (and whatever other girls) need chocolate! Had a bit of a giggle at that part. Maybe the book Ron gave Harry might actually be helpful to read!

Poor Percy! Never thouhgt I'd be saying that! But you've got to fell for him, I mea I doubt if there that many women out there who would be attracted to his personality lol!!!
So what's with the chocolate, and will you tell me if Dean wins the bet with Ginny?
Author's Response: Poor Percy ... yes but don't worry about ol' Perce ;) Um ... the chocolate should be made clear shortly and will I tell you who wins the bet with Dean and Ginny ... um ... maybe? :P

This chapter was so powerful - I would say that I enjoyed reading it, but I didn't because it was too sad! But I still think it was absolutely amazing; does that make any sense?
The Werewolf Legislation business made my blood run cold, but it was good to see Harry with Teddy again - extremely cute and fluffy. I don't think there's any question of it passing - I have this story pegged as a happy ending (I hope I'm right!) - but it's a very good example of what fear will do to people. I hope Lavender is able to move on and start living a full life again, of course, but obviously this legislation is definitely not the answer. If she ends up standing up to her uncle over it and that helps her to overcome her depression and anxiety, that would be a very fitting resolution in my opinion. The bit when Bill was talking about his and Fleur's plans for a family, was especially sad.
And what can I say about Ron!? He's always a difficuilt character to write, because the writer is walking the same tight rope as him with being Harry's bestfriend and being protective of Ginny, as well as trying to find the balance between his silly, immature side and the sense that he comes thorugh when it matters, but you've done a fantastic job with him. Not just in this chapter, but throughout the story, everytime he's appeared he's always been spot on! He's grown up so much I can hardly believe it, but it's all realisticalyy portrayed. His relationship with Hermione being conducted in an almost adult like manner... The way he deals with Harry and Ginny... How he's helping George... And, dare I say it, I even detected a sensible comment from him in this chapter about Lavender! I'm so glad that you've got him right, because when he's well written, there are very few characters that (I feel!) can beet him for pure loveabilty.
The scene with Percy was hilarious and, though it was ultimately quite sad, it was a good bit of comic reilief in and amongst all of the seriousness at the end of the chapter. It was nice to see him a bit more relaxed - if that's how you'd describe it - than usual and all of his ramblings made him seem more human than he did when Harry and Ginny came back from Australia. All in all, I think he may actually have redeemed himself a bit in my eyes. And I shall refrain from asking if the break-up of him and Penelope was planned before the release of JKR's family tree or not, because that would be an unkind question - but you can still answer it if you want to :p.
It was really sad to see that the Weasleys (especially George) still aren't back to their normal, cheerful selves, but they're resiliant and of course these things take time. It was good to see an author reflect that sort of cold, empty period that happens after someone close has died, after all of the intial grieving.
And as for the chocolate! I wonder if Ron knew what he was contributing to when he gave the bar to Harry? Possibly not (:D). I think it might be very funny to watch the chocolate thing play out in the next chapter - poor, clueless Harry.
Oops, I've gone on a bit haven't I? I wish I could write this much this easily for my English essays... But, anyway, I shall lookforward to the next chapter in anticipation! Here's to Harry showing the Ministry the error of their ways ( to put it politely), playing with Teddy some more and giving Ginny her chocolate!
Author's Response: Oh dear, sweet Ron ... *sigh* I'm sorry you found it all sad and stuff but, yeah *evil grin*.
As for Percy's break up no, originally when i began he wans't going to break up with her but then i found out he married someone else and once i had a name I couldn't keep going with penelope and then the storyline I had sort of grew and evolved to include the breakup and it fitted really well with the things I had already planned out - basically he was supposed to get drunk I just moved it up and gave him a slightly different reason. It seems to have slotted in well though *crosses fingers*
Ah, chocolate ... I have some things in store for chocolate ... indeed :D

This is excellent. The Weasleys are messed up, and that is very realistic. I found that whole passage with Percy's drinking binge, Ron's frustration, Penelope's leaving and George's problems very believable. I loved Harry's response to Teddy recognizing him. So sweet. The werewolf fears and debate are very interesting. Harry's free time will soon be quite full.
Author's Response: Yep busy!Harry! I have found it interesting to read everyone's thoughts on the werewolf 'thing'. It makes me a little nervous though as everyone has different views - that's great that there's so many angles - I just don't think my resolutions can please everybody! So hopefully I can at least make it logical and believable when we get there!

Wow! Only discovered this one the other day - so a lot of reading to do. Important to see that things can't just slot easily into place - memories of the previous year/battle of Hogwarts especially still raw.. and it affects different people at different times and in different ways... much to come to terms with/resolve. Glad that when he really needed to react, Harry was able to. So much more to come out here.. and with Draco and the older Slytherins too.. perhaps something may get said when he and Harry are working together? Old Slytherin/others hostility as dangerous as dividing into muggleborns/others.. and Zabini did speak up in DADA.. So many threads you have going here, look forward to your next instalment.
Author's Response: Yes there's a lot going on huh? :D gosh i hope I can do it all justice! I'm always happy to find out someone's found and is enjoying the story! I hope you continue to do so!

Hi ! It’s a very beautifull chapter, there are many things in it, so many poignant moments !
Poor Percy... It was a good idea to show us this sad moment. I love Ron, it’s great to see him like a “big brother”. The story about the werewolves’ regulation with the Bronw family is very interesting, I’m looking forward how it will turn in the next chapters !
I wonder what is it with the chocolate... I though I missed something in the story but I’m not sure... I am also intrigued about how you will make Duldey come back.
Good job Kezza !
Author's Response: I love Ron too! I heart him so much ...
I hope the werewolfe storyline goes well after such a great initial reception *bites nails*
The chocolate is for ... well, you'll see ;)

I think the end of that chapter sent a shiver down all Australians' spines (Indigenous or not)
Another brilliant chapter that has me begging and crying for more, more, more! What is Harry going to do about that legislation?? And Percy - drunk! Well, I suppose it was about time he started acting like a Weasley, sober or drunk..
Again I love your representation of Ron, and his efforts of trying to keep the family together (God I know that feeling) I just can't help but wonder if he is going to crack soon..
Loved the H/G stuff of course, and great use of chocolate! You know, one of my favourite H/G canon scenes is the chocolate in the library scene.. And Harry is so daft, I want to ruffle his hair!
Any ideas on how long this story is going to be? I really don't want it to end!
Author's Response: Eeek that was entirely subconscious!
What is Harry going to do indeed ... poor Ron ... chocolate makes the world go round!
I have literally o idea how long it will be. t started of as 30-35 chapters and well, it'll be longer than that ...

I just wanted to add that Harry should have Hermione and Ginny change the Monoply sent to be a Wizard Monoply set. For example have Hogworts be inplace of Boardwalk or have jail as askaban. I think it would deffently liven up his muggle studies class.

A day without chocolate…now that’s a scary thought!
Finding the people in hiding, fighting prejudice—Harry’s social justice platter is full indeed! If the Brown gang wants to lock up everyone who has been in contact with a werewolf, they’ll have to take Harry too. All he has to do is tell the Wizengamot that one of his closest friends was a werewolf, his godson’s father was said werewolf, and his future brother-in-law was scarred by another werewolf. Yes, they better protect everyone and lock away the great war hero every full moon.
I doubt that Lavender knows about her uncle’s misguided attempt to help her. I think it will assist her but in an unexpected way—when she hears of the proposed werewolf legislation she’ll be horrified and fight against it, which will help bring her out of her depression. At least, that’s how I read the crystal ball.
What’s up with McGonagall? Why didn’t she tell Harry as soon as Bill contacted her, or at least as soon as class was over on Friday, that Teddy was being threatened and Andromeda felt she had to hide him? Her obtuseness caused Harry to delay his arrival when Andromeda needed his support.
Enough of the rant at Minerva because of the benefit of Harry’s delay in going to the Tonks’ house—quality time with the Weasleys and seeing loyal Ron working so hard to keep his family afloat. He’s so wonderful! Hopefully they’ll be there for him when he finally falls apart from being his brothers’ keeper, while struggling with the separation from his best mate and special girl.
Thanks for another great chapter. It went in a totally different direction than expected, which was terrific!
Author's Response: McGonagall didn't want to send him into a panic now the incident had passed - Bill didn't contact her until the next day. It's not Minerva's fault - no one's fault it's just the consequence of 'being at Hogwarts' - it has it's drawbacks although there will be advantages :D Oooh someone worried for Ron ... interesting ...

Great chapter. I'm curious as to what Harry will do to prevent that legislation from passing. It's terrible that something like that is still happening when the war is over. I do hope Harry doesn't forget to buy chocolates for Ginny. I can't believe how clueless he is in that.
Author's Response: Harry has a secret weapon everyone's forgotten about ... he's only clueless about some things ... ;)
