This was beautiful.
I especially love this taken from the angle of Harry and Ginny as a married couple.

Challenges are always tricky to write without seeming contrived to fit the prompt, I think. It's easy to turn the prompt into a checklist of requirements. Songfics present their own array of pitfalls. But you hit the essance of "stay in here with me because I want you to (but I'll use the excuse it's cold out)" in the most natural way. Your characterizations of Ginny and Harry's frustration with time commitments, tempered with loving what they do, tempered with just plain loving each other were so honest and none of it was overdone or cliche. Loved it. :)

I can relate to what Harry and Ginny are going through. I just retired from the military, and I saw a lot of strained marriages because of the demands placed upon us. In this story it is doubled with Ginny's Quidditch responsibilities. You have both of them trying to convince the other to stay for a bit longer, not just for themselves, but also realizing that the other needs some down time. This scene could have easily been overplayed, but I thought that it flowed nicely for you. I really enjoyed it. Thanks. Eric B.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! The first draft of this story was much shorter and (IMHO) not very enjoyable. As I added more material, I was concerned that the dialogue might not flow naturally from one point to the next. I'm pleased to find that someone other than myself and my betas thought I did a decent job of it.

Great story, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love reading about Harry and Ginny's life after marriage particularly since they are both busy with their careers. I imagine that they would be away from each other a lot of the time so love to read about the sexual tension and longing they must have. You captured that very well. Very mischievious of Harry to catch Ginny in the shower after the game but so like her to go along with it. You need to write more like this.
Author's Response: Thank you very much for the positive response. I'll see what I can do about getting out more stories about their married life. I've already got something in the works, but I won't set any projected completion dates because I would just miss them anyway. Anyway, thanks again for the encouragement.

A very good story! I noticed you said in your author's notes that you're not used to writing songfics. Well, you did a great job on this one. I'm not used to writing songfics either. You really had a very original idea of where Ginny and Harry would be alone and I enjoyed that very much. I also liked that you kept some element of danger in Harry's life because as an Auror of course the danger wouldn't have ended with the war. That part really helped keep the tension beautifully. It was great to see Ginny's Bat Bogey too. I firmly believe that after all they've been through, itchy wand fingers would be very common. Well done!
