Title: Chapter 1: Blood Magic
Thanks to the recent update I have noticed this story. (Yes, compared to the story I'm new here, lol). After reading the summary with I thought, OK, again such a story where the two disappear for years and do not see each other. On the other hand, can so many reviews and stars be wrong? So I read the first chapter, and found myself on your hook.
The kind of ancient martial ritual, that Snape had performed, is an interesting idea which I like very much. Although I was a bit surprised that it promptly happened in the very first chapter. Fortunately, now I know that Ginny and Harry are not separated, much better, cannot be separated at all, and we have a strong Ginny. For me, as an absolute Ginny supporter, it is clearly a must to read this story. Instantly. Even if it messes up my to-read-list, lol.
It's also good to know that Draco will no longer harass our beloved couple in this story. Well done!
Many thanks for sharing.

snape is not nearly so amiable
Author's Response: I agree. Snape is not a nice person, nor is he very amiable. He captured Harry. He let them torture Harry for 2 weeks. He kidnapped Ginny, and then forcibly married two minors without their consent.
However, I think that I've only taken him a bit out of canon. The question was, what if Snape had the opportunity to do something different about letting Harry know what was going on? Would he have done it? What would he have done?
I think that it would have looked something like this, and I like it better than the way things went in canon book 7, to be brutally honest. :D

Enjoyed the chapter--it seemed to be consistent internally in its description of the Bond and its effect. That's something I appreciate. I wonder if or when they will realize that Ginny's link to Harry saved his life--or at least it seemed like it did. I also enjoyed Snape's well-analyzed cowardice in not confronting Molly Weasley. I'm also looking forward to how much Harry and Ginny will have to explain to her family regarding why this was a good idea. Or how the bond strengthens when they are trying to spend 16 hours in bed together back at the Burrow....
Author's Response: Thank you for reading!
I'm trying to be at least consistent within my themes in this story.
The explanations to the family will be interesting to write, I'm hoping you will like them.

Duh, duh duh daaaaaaaaaaaah! Gyno-Poppy to the rescue, just because we female readers wanted to be reminded of that. ;-p
I just started reading this yesterday, and couldn't stop until I had finished (at approximately 2am.) I am a huge fan of bond stories, and I love this fic because it defies every "bond" cliche.
I'm so impatient for the next chapter that I tried to gauge your next update time b looking at the dates of validation. You tend to publish 2 chapters within 48 hours of each other, wait a week, and repeat. Please save me from more useless gauging and tell me, when do you think you'll have chapter 11 all nice and pretty for us?
~~Wolfie
Author's Response: Thanks for reading, and I'm glad that you joined me on this adventure.
I have tried to have a new chapter ready about once per week. Unfortunately for this story, sometimes the validators get swamped, and it takes some time to get things validated. That's why you might see one chapter ten or more days after the previous, and then another one less than two days later.
I am writing, and I will have more chpaters posted soon. I post them as I finish them. I have a few other projects in the works, as well as a couple more hobbies that I like to do, so I don't work on this every day. But it is my wife's favorite story that I'm currently writing, so I get motivated by one of my favorite readers who likes to poke me when I haven't written enough lately.

Wow! This is incredible! Snape's a bit bipolar but I like it. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Snape is a bit bipolar, and passive aggressive, but who wouldn't be, with two very powerful control freaks running his life?

Right now, I'm feeling like that guard in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail"...standing here with my finger in the air, going "hey!?" as something amorphous and huge passes through my brain leaving nothing but confusion and turbulence in its wake.
You're going to have to write hard to live up to the promise of this first chapter ;-)
I have to say this is a refreshing change to the usual run of "bond" stories: I don't recall reading before where it is imposed or at such a late age: usually it "just happens" when they're young...not to say there's no good reason for that, but yours is a particularly interesting variation on the theme.
/me pulls up his favourite bean-bag and conjures some now-traditional pop-corn
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I really like bonding stories, some of them are just fascinating. I wanted to see what might happen if it wasn't spontaneous.
