I was recently speaking with an accomplished FanFiction writer from a couple defunct sites, SU and Checkmated. In response to the question of "What is the best that SIYE has to offer, this story was one of three or four I offered! That led me to a third full reading of this wonderful story! I have just finished this time through, and my opinion hasn't changed. This is simply an outstanding piece of writing. I understand the issues surrounding loss of work, having been laid off and, later, disabled by three spine surgeries and a cardiac arrest due to arrhythmia. It can flip your world on its ear and test every bit of resolve you have. I hope you are faring well. While FF takes time and energy you may not have to give right now, I sincerely hope you will eventually return to writing this story. It is truly that good!

I was just rereading this story and was reminded just how good it is! Not only is it full of original ideas but your writing and handling of the characters is just great. I see it's been quite a while since your last update but a I really hope you return one day to complete it. This story is really too good to leave unfinished.

Love the story. Only thing I have a minor complaint about is that Harry would have been kept and tortured. In both GoF and OotF Voldemort tries to kill Harry, with a bit of discussion before hand, and totally doesn't care about the plans that anyone else. So it seems a bit far-fetched that he'd have Harry tortured for a fortnight.

This is such a great story and has so many unique and interesting elements. Harry and Ginny are certainly a powerful couple, and with the Horcrux out of Harry and so many people to help and support them, a positive outcome seems very possible. I hope you get the chance to update the story soon. I have so many questions. Who are Miss Ryan's parents? What is happening with all of the members of the Weasley family? How are Tonks and Remus and baby? What will happen next at Hogwarts? What is Luna up to? Looking forward to reading your next chapter.

Your story is very good and unique in its own way. A little jumping between the Englishs used, but good, nontheless.
What I am curious, is what happened to the tracking spell on Ginny. Are we to assume she removed it? Did it dissipate with Rabastan's death? Or are you building up to something?

I really love this fic. You write really well, and your story feels fresh, exciting among the H/G fanfics. I'm therefore quite sad this isn't being updated, and I really hope you haven't abandoned this. It's too good a story for that. If you have abandoned it, though, please let us readers know. I've just found this fic after typing in a general Google search for good Harry/Ginny stories and I have to say, I wasn't disappointed at all:)
This is one of the best Harry/Ginny fics I have read in a long time, due to the masterful writing, the interesting plot twists and the healthy dose of reality in a world of magic and the impossible. the explanations you give for some things, like Remus' name, is brilliant and I thoroughly enjoy reading it.
To be honest, I just basically registered at this site for the single purpose of being able to receive alerts when this story is updated and would like to recommend for you to post your fic on another site as well, like FF.net or AO3, as I know of a few people who would love it if they knew about it.
This last chapter was awesome, I can just see Harry's disgusted face at his shaved head hahahah. Ginny's reaction to her first was also great as it is quite realistic, or at least, how I imagine someone would act. I can't wait for Snape to meet his apparent "wife" and can just imagine the stare down (or show down) they will have, as neither is the type to give in. I hope we will soon see what exactly Isobel did, as I'm extremely curious.
Another point is Hedwig. I know Harry took her to their apartment, but is she still there, or did he transfer her to Mar? I can't imagine her being happy being left alone a second time.

Poor Ginny, her first sword fighting sacrifice has deeply affected her. I hope that Harry could give her a little comfort, even if we cannot be sure about it because of the PG-13 classification ;-)
I had to smile that Harry's medical history had so many surprises ready for Duncan & Co.
I wish you good luck in the RL, not only because I am hoping for a speedy update of this wonderful story.

Because of your long absence from the updates page, I'd forgotten what had happened in the story. However, that's just an excuse to reread the entire tome from start to finish and I've enjoyed every minute of this, my third, rereading of this story. Just like with all of the original books, I've discovered things I'd either forgotten or glossed over during previous readings and have become just that much more attached to your version of Harry and Ginny.
I really appreciate the summary of Harry's past ailments and injuries that Dr. Weaver gives Duncan. It really puts into perspective just how much Harry has suffered over the years. That's actually what inspired me to go back to the beginning this time and I'm glad I did.
While I feel a bit empathetic towards Ginny who is still recovering from her first kill, it's definitely an important take-down, not only because Harry's torturer is getting his just desserts, but there's one less Death Eater to stir up trouble in the future. I'm just hoping that Harry and Ginny took the time to either get rid of Ginny's jinxed clothing or they were able to cancel the spell. They don't need other Death Eaters tracking them to Paris.
I really liked Eirica's bit of comic relief action with her jiggling foot/leg. All I'll say is that patience is a virtue, which in this particular instance, she does not have.
I'm very much looking forward to the next chapter, even if I need to reread the story from start to finish again because of the time between postings. Well done.

Wow! I've spent the past few days re-reading the entire story and I love it. I think I may have missed an update or two. I really like the Mar and it's inhabitants. Harry and Ginny seem to be progressing quite well - until the end of this chapter of course. I really like the history and family you've created for the Potters. It should give them a very unique advantage in the coming fight. I was a bit uncertain about Ron working with Moody, but he seems to be doing well. It is nice to see Luna is doing well and I hope we will see more of Neville than the tiny glimpse we had of him. Poor Demelza, very glad that Harry was able to rescue her. Love the story and can't wait to read more - whenever you get a chance to update.
