Can't hold myself back. You have written Harry as a thoughtful, caring individual throughout, though it would be impossible to know precisely how to react to Ginny's hostile outbursts. Therefore, I really don't see why he would put his conscious thought into words, as he is already in love with Ginny. Yes, I see how it allows for greater drama in the story, and Ginny may well tell him to pound sand and take his marriage proposal with him. But I have little doubt they will end up together! Three little words, followed by a heart-felt explanation, could fix their now-tenuous relationship!

Author's Response: I am a little confused by this review. I can only gather that you are referring to a future chapter that hasn't even been posted on this site, and that you read it on the other site. So, I will wait until that chapter is up here before I respond. Lesley.

That is an effective, yet cruel, cliffhanger! I had assumed from Ginny's comments about men taking what hey wanted that Malfoy had raped Ginny. Now I fear she was raped by Malfoy and his gang of friends, either by physical force or magical subjugation. Of course, Ron's reaction couldn't have been worsen. I hope the next installment arrives soon!

The start of Harry's plan to reconned Ginny with her family, and things are not going so well. Harry's attraction to Ginny has been evident, but I was somewhat surprised at his offer of marriage. I guess it does make sense, though. Between his growing feelings and his "saving people thing" its not out of character. Ginny's last revelation is a bit of a shock, and I'm looking forward to the next update to find out more.
Author's Response: Thanks for your review. Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. Harry's saving people thing has come into play, but he does genuinely love Ginny, and he is hoping that, in time, she will come to care for him. And Ginny DOES care for him, she is just to insecure to show those feelings. For the moment, gratitude is all she can show for fear of being shot down in flames by Harry telling her he cannot return her feelings. Both are too afraid of rejection if they expose their deepest feelings. Lesley

Harry, you complete twit! Tell that girl you love her! Of course Ginny would not come out and ask either. I loved the way she danced around it. In the end she accepted (the possible loveless marriage) for Bonny's sake I would guess.
She knows, no matter what, Harry will take care of her.
I did think Ron's reaction a little excessive. While he has always had a tendency to act without thinking, I would believe that an adult married Ron would have matured at least some. Well, we all make mistakes even as adults, so this is your choice.
Ginny certainly dropped a bombshell at the end. I hope she was unconscious (or imperioused) during the act, and not the other degrading possibility.
Author's Response: Thanks for your review. Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you, but RL has gotten in the way big time. Yes, Harry and Ginny are a fine pair. Neither will come out and expose his/her true emotions to the other... the true reason Harry asked and Ginny accepted. Ah, Ron. Yes, his reaction was excessive, and very negative, after his initial shock and relief of actually seeing his sister alive and well. But Ron has a temper as we know, and he started to think and that is never a good thing with him. Ginny just up and leaving (and at this time, he doesn't know the reason) he is bound to get mad. Plus, he has seen what his sister's absence from their lives has done to his family, especially his parents. Yes, Ginny went through a very traumatic time, and when she found she was pregnant... well, that combined with the depression she was no doubt suffering from, and her rocky relationship with Molly, her actions made sense to her. This meeting seems to be going just about as well as Ginny thought it would. The thing that saddens me most about this reunion is that your Ron can't be happy just to have his sister back. It's easy to see that he certainly hasn't matured any during the three and a half years she's been gone, since the second thing out of his mouth is "where the H-E-double wands have you been?" However, I should have expected this because you've shown Ron's impatience in the last few chapters with his aggressiveness towards Harry in that he hasn't respected Harry's need for privacy.
I'm glad Ginny accepted Harry's marriage proposal. While he seems too shy to thoroughly explain how he arrived at his decision to ask her as well as explain why he won't suddenly become interested in the next witch to cross his path, his earnestness must have triggered something within her to accept him. Maybe it's only because marriage to him would provide Bonnie with a more stable home life. No matter what, I think they'll eventually work things out and Ginny will come to love Harry as much as he loves her and Bonnie.
Well done. Please post the next chapter soon.
Author's Response: To my way of thinking, Ron's anger, at least in the beginning, is caused by his inability to come over all sentimental. Yes, he cries all over Ginny when he first sees her andrealises that she isn't dead, but that is shock. Then he starts thinking, and Ron is often better off if he doesn't think. And of course, he is a man, so everything has to be about him, as Ginny said. And Ginny accepted Harry's marriage proposal because she loves him. But like Harry, she cannot come out and bare her soul. It is a very tangled web. She thinks he asked her to marry him because he is still selfless and noble and he loves Bonnie and he wants Ginny to start leading a normal life.
