I hate to admit it, but Ron's question at the end of the chapter was spot on. The explanation will be interesting, to say the least. Although I generally like a reasonably written Ron, most writers, yourself included, tend to write him as if he were still 17 years old. Most people in their twenties are not the asshats they were at seventeen, even Ron. I hope to see a little more fleshing out of his character, as befits a story of this quality.
Author's Response: Yes, Ron's question is spot on, but he is going out of his way to make sure Ginny knows he condemns her... without hearing what she has to say. And I am afraid I disagree with you as far as thinking that Ron would have become a toally reasonable, even tempered human being, all of the time. Ron will always have a temper, Molly is no longer 17 years old and she has a formidable temper, even in canon...especially in canon. They are redheads; and believe me, the redhead's temper is not a myth... I am a redhead and I am 62 years old and I have always had a temper. I think Bill, Charlie, Fred and George and even Percy have their father's even temperament (there has to be some even tempered redheads out there) and Ron and Ginny have Molly's.
I love Ron, he is loyal and he is Harry's best friend. And even if he does explode, he will eventually calm down enough to put his brain and his mouth into gear He does come good in this, I assure you. Thank you for the review. Lesley

I'm really enjoying this story, despite its somewhat darker tone. I love the way Harry is putting Ginny and Bonnie first, even over his long-time friendship with Ron (who is admittedly acting like a real jerk!). I'm really looking forward to Ron finally hearing Ginny's story and what happened to her.

I was a bit surprised that Ginny revealed her feelings for Harry, but now it is out there. Will Harry respond?

Ginny told Ron she was going to marry Harry, but she never actually said she loves him. This is an important distinction in an upcoming chapter. Hang in there. Lesley

I love how solid and steadfast Harry is in the face of Ron's tirade and completely unpleasant attitude. His method of making Ron behave made me smile, but the fact that he had to put Bonnie to sleep because of Ron's bellowing made me sad. Finally, the fact that Harry tells Ron that after Ginny marries him, he's going to adopt Bonnie, despite of who fathered her, went straight to my fluffy spot, mostly because he knows what it is like to grow up without a family and he doesn't want that for Ginny's child.

Author's Response: Thank you for the lovely review. Ron is still so very volatile. Harry is the calm in the face of Hurricane Ron. Harry has been through too much in his young life to continue to hold onto hatred; though of course, if he were to hate anyone to the very depth of his soul again, it would be Malfoy. But he is more interested in supporting Ginny. If she wanted revenge, then Harry would be right on board, but he knows Ginny just wants to forget. And yes, he wants to give Bonnie a happy childhood. Great chapter.
If Ron could curb his outbursts, Ginny may be able to get to the main part of the story.
Harry is a good father figure to Bonnie. She trusts him a lot, already.

I need to go back and read the chapter, cause I can't remember who was going to blow who up. Sorry. But there has been one major breakthrough... looking at your kutgw at the end of the review, I suddenly realised what it meant! I have been asking for ages, because I have never seen it on any other site.

Great to see a new chapter! Was beginning to fear you might have abandoned this story when it is so awesome! This had to be a difficult chapter to write! There isn't enough gold in Gringotts for me to want to be in Malfoy's shoes........he's a dead man(or a seriously injured and imprisoned one) walking when Harry and Ron learn the truth, unless Hermoine beats them to it! Harry is already proving to be a good future father for Bonnie and husband Ginny! Definite bond between Ginny and Harry since she used is wand so easily! Wonder how Molly and Arthur will handle this although I can see them being overjoyed with a new granddaughter! Counting the days until the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks for your review. Glad you enjoyed the chapter. No, have no intention of abandoning the story; in fact, I hope I am on the last chapter now. Ginny did use Harry's wand, but she had used it before too... back in the flat above the garage when Harry told her to use a summoning charm because she was worried she might be forgetting something. Plus, don't forget Harry's wand is super powerful. so Ginny would have had to be a squib for it not to work for her. Still, the bond between the two of them is growing, but neither of them knows the other is actually IN love with him/her.
