Harry seems to be coming to terms with the after effects of the battle. Perhaps taking on too much responsiblity but someone has to do it and he has never backed down from whatever he is needed for.
I am glad Harry insisted on Hermione's help, she was losing confidence in herself and needed some support. Always like Harry to shine the spotlight on someone else. Now all Hermione needs is a jar for their newest find. Luckily all this magic was accomplished without any Muggle even surmising something was up. Looking forward to how they handle Skeeter.

Harry, it seems to me is at his worst when he has nothing to do. Give him responsibility and he’ll take it very seriously. As you say, he’s never backed down.
He isn’t a superman, he needs Hermione because he doesn’t know everything. But he needed to show her that, too.
Skeeter is a difficult woman to handle. I hope that I can give her the treatment she deserves.

Personally, I think Skeeter is JK's most despicable character. Even lower than Dursley who at least did not pretend to be anything than what he was, a scumbag. Rita's a hypocritical scumbag. Hope she gets what she deserves.
One bit of confusion. Did the sneakoscope get louder near Harry, because she was hiding on him physically?
Author's Response: She's a typical British Tabloid journalist (except probably not as unscrupulous as some of them). Yes, it took Harry and Ginny a while to figure that out, too. -N-

Great chapter... I adore Harry and Ginny relationship... is like they can read each other minds....
Author's Response: Rita is a misunderstood genius (just ask her). It's like they can read each others minds! I hope not. There's no chance of them misunderstanding each other. Ginny (my Ginny at least) is good at reading Harry's moods and guessing his thoughts.

I like the way that you show Harry and Ginny interacting. Harry's maturity seems like a natural outgrowth of his character at the end of DH--and Ginny's confidence in their relationship--and insisting that they did not really break up sounds like the strong, independent confident character that I enjoy seeing depicted.
I also like Harry's leadership in how he is speaking directly to people and demands help from Hermione--which really shows the confidence he has in her. Nicely done
Author's Response: Thank you. while Giny is strong I've given her one weakness which will cause her problems.
It strikes me that when there's a crisis Harry tends to take charge, and a lot of people look to him for guidance.

Great Chapter! It's nice to know what happened to Lavender. I like your attention to the little details like putting the Patils in white saris. Very well done!
