It is fun to read how the two of them try their mysterious connection to find a better understanding. I wonder how long they can hide this connection from the others.
And it's true, I really wonder because I've forgotten a lot of details since the first reading.
That's interesting, Ginny's ancestors could drain magical energy and heal others. Can Ginny do that too? It could be helpful later ... so about Chapter 35. And no, I never ask for spoilers. It's just a thought I had when reading the recent update.
And Luna is simply ...very Luna! As she casually explains that Ginny has completed her fan girl life phase. You have to love her!
Great chapter! Thanks a million.

Author's Response: Heh, when I first conceived of this story, the bond was intended as the central pillar, the overarching plot... That changed very rapidly, in no small part because soul bond stories have been done to death. Instead it became essentially an AU rewrite. You'll see just how AU it is very soon (end of second year, not start of first).
Only the one could. Essentially I've got each Weasley girl having a random boon of varying intensity. I'll probably draw up a family tree or something at some point, but it's fairly extraneous because, as I said, the only thing relevant now is Ginny's uncanny power. But that's an arc for later on :D But too right, if she could do that it would be as simple as laying a hand on the diary and... poof! Quite the asset.
Luna is quite brilliant to write. Difficult at times, but brilliant. It was writing that scene that really sealed her place in the story for me :)
Thank you for reviewing!

No, I'm curious what she's doing when she's off screen.
In chapter 4 Hermione noticed that "Ginny disappeared quite a lot". And Harry noticed it when Ginny talks about her Hogwart time with Mr. Lovegood. Since her disappearance has been mentioned at least twice, I got the feeling that there is something going on ... I know, I'm a nosy person ... Maybe I should just read on to solve the mystery ;-)

Author's Response: Maybe you should :D
I'm never sure that I pull off that balance of subtlety, so I do appreciate your noting it :)

I'm really curious what Ginny is doing when she disappears.
And I'm curious if we get an explanation of what really happened at the Dursley's? Previously there were only guesses ...

Author's Response: Hmm... you mean the Disapparition-running or when she's doing things off screen?
All I'll say is that when she Apparates, it's the normal wizard Apparating, just done more manually. The Apparition-running is a play on that where she doesn't mould the fabric of space-time quite so neatly. In retrospect, it could have gone quite badly.
With the Dursleys... You will hear more about them. Promise :D
Thanks for reviewing :)

Luna was great, interesting observations about Horcux and the bond. I wonder if your Hermione will see through her, or will she annoyed by Luna like she was in the books?

Author's Response: Ach, you guys need to stop inviting spoilers! I can't give them out freely, you need to send me money or video games or something :P Seriously though, those two are fantastic to write about. Hope you continue to enjoy these :)

Author's Response: Glad to be here :D I do. Not telling though. Thanks :)

Love this story Thanks for updating. I guess Luna recognizes the dark soul bit in him. Interesting.
Tricia

Author's Response: Aww, thanks :D Yeah, I haven't exactly left myself plausible deniability there. Let's just say it's a cool subplot to write, and leave it at that lol

hmmm. interesting. I need to go back and re-read the previous chapters I think.

Right - two and a half years since I last reviewed this story. Is it a plot to make me read it all again? If so. you won. The Ford Anglia was a 1960's car and very modern looking at the time with its rear sloping rear window.

Author's Response: Ahh, my dastardly scheme is uncovered! I'm glad you did though, I reworked those chapters quite a bit. And I'm glad you've come back to it :) The movie version was, yes, but that was the final iteration of the car, and the movies messed up most of that kind of chronology stuff anyway. The Vernon's dad bit was my attempt at implying that this is a forties or fifties car. Anyway, thanks for the review. Hope you're enjoying it.

Did you use document upload? Every single word that's in bold has got the codes around it and I don't think they usually show up in the validation stage. 'Tis a bit odd that it's around every word though...

Edit: Fixed now. A few codes had gone haywire. :)

Author's Response: Thanks for the comments and help :) I'm glad to be back. The coding issues might be to do with Dreamweaver's auto conversion tool. I'll go through it by eye next time.

So pleased to see the update!
Lol at Harry being pranked by Fred and George :)
I think your Luna is really quite perceptive with her, "You've got a darkness in you." - I always like it when Luna has got substance rather that just being a bit odd.

Not sure why most of it is in bold as it wasn't like it when I validated it a minute ago, but I'll see if I can sort it...
