I love this look at this point in Harry and Ginny's lives in your stories. The characters are very well written and I really enjoy how seemlessly you write the action parts with their personal lives. And the parts with the children are very sweet. Very interesting to see how Ginny and Jacqui's relationship is developing especially in light of Ginny having to hide the magical world.
And I am very sorry for your loss

Another excellent chapter :D I've missed Jacqui, Henry, Mike, and Annie. Poor Al at the end there, picking up on all the tension from the adults, it seems? I loved the bit with the hens and the opening it made to delve into Ginny's past a bit. Ginny clearly didn't want to be alone and I love that she's confiding in Jacqui a bit more. I really enjoy their friendship. I also love they way you're continuing to weave the case into the story, it feels very realistic and makes the whole thing very mysterious.

I have missed them, too. I’ve always seen Al as the most sensitive of the Potter kids. Ginny needs some friends. I haven’t really explained this in the story, but I think she’s probably a little lonely. She has her sisters-on-law, but Angelina and Hermione both work full time, and I don’t think she’s close to Fleur and Audrey. Luna has Rolf, and a globetrotting life, and her former teammates are more interested in Quidditch than kids.Actually, there is a story in these observations, thank you.
You’ll be hearing a lot more about the case in the next few chapters.-N-

Really nice to see a new chapter tonight! So, things are getting tense with Harry's 'werewolf' case. I'm wondering how this is going to spill over onto the Potter's private life and their friendship with the Charltons? I'll be looking forward to your next update.

This story never fails to surprise me. I’ve said it before, but my initial idea was that Jacqui would merely frame the story which, by chapter four or five, would move to a third-person Harry centred story. However, by the end of chapter two I’d fallen in love with Jacqui (as a narrator – it’s an otherwise platonic relationship, honest), and so, it seems, did everyone else. This is by far my most read and reviewed story both here and on fanfiction.net. Thank you for reading.-N-

Haven't read the chapter yet. I'll submit another review when I do that's a bit more on point. I was so happy to see the alert for this pop up in my email. I know you're not asking for sympathy but I want to give my condolences anyway. I'm so sorry you had to go through that and my thoughts are with you and your family. I just wanted you to know that the work you're doing in writing this and your other stories is very much appreciated and brings this reader, a least, a lot of joy. Your stories are wonderful and you should be very proud of them. I'd have happily waited much longer for another update, and I imagine I'm in good company. Real life comes first. I'm just glad to have another wonderful chapter to read.

I’m well aware that it’s been far to long since I last updated this. The same is true of so many of my chaptered stories. Having spend hours simply staring at a screen before deciding to open some long forgotten draft of a one-shot (and then discovering how little work he draft required) it’s good to be finally writing proper chapters again.

First of all my sympathies on your loss. Secondly your chapter is amazing. It looks like things are moving forward. So Gawain Robards brother is the prime suspect - that must be awkward. I can imagine Harry must be under all sorts of pressure - I love James's little 'I hope you catch the bad man' very sweet. I'm glad that Ginny was able to share some of her experiences with Jacqui. I also like that Harry and Ginny are making their home into their version of The Burrow.

He certainly is (in this chapter at least). You’ll discover more about the pressure’s Harry is under in the next chapter. We all need someone to confide in, and Jacqui is proving to be a good listener. Harry’s best times were at The Burrow, and while I don’t think he wants Drakeshaugh to be an exact copy, it’s an environment he finds comforting.-N-
