Miraculous news. Harry and Ginny deserve to be happy and well.

Author's Response: This is good news, the first of the "ups" amongst the "downs" that always accompany recovery from a catastrophic injury. Thanks for the review.

I can understand ginnys rage at what had happened, she needed answers and I also agree with her in the disciplined healers. They were working under such stressful conditions that something like this was bound to happen at some point.

I do find it surprising that the person in charge of st mungos didn't already know about staffing problems and staff morale..,not exactly doing her job is she!

And I'm disappointed to find out the wizarding world isn't all it's cracked up to be...who would have thought they can't travel between Australia and the uk any quicker than us...lol! (cheeky grin!)

Author's Response: I will not be making excuses for how St Mungo's is handling their staffing and budget problems. Madam Nigel has had a difficult time of it and I think she realizes that the A&E department healers are stressed out, but without the funds to support the needed staffing changes, her hands are tied and the Wizarding public loses out on quality care. I think Ginny is angry enough to actually put her threats and plans into action. Oh, I had to laugh at your lament about magical transportation: no matter how you look at it, traveling halfway around the world is tiresome and it takes just as long to go between countries by Portkey in the Wizarding world as it does via airplane in the Muggle world. Thanks for reading. I look forward to your next review.

Good for Ginny! I'm glad that she put those arrogant doctors in their place. I could feel her frustration. This is some mystery that's unraveling here, and I am eager to find out more. Is it odd that it bothers me how complacent (not sure if that is the best word) some of Harry's loved ones seem? I keep thinking about everything he has had to sacrifice in his life and it seems as if many have forgotten that, or perhaps it is too abstract an idea for them.

Author's Response: There are many things that come from Ginny's outburst in this chapter. They will pop up from time to time in future chapters and actually be a minor subplot. I don't think Harry's family is complacent or forgetful of the things that have happened in his life. It's only been a few days since he was hurt and many of them are still in shock or denial: not only does the victim go through the stages of grief, but his/her family does, too. It's also in some part, my fault as the writer, because I'm very much the learner with this story. It's my first multiple point of view story and I've never been very good at juggling. I hope as you read further the characters begin to worry more about him than themselves. Thanks for reading and witing to me. The very last chapter will be posted on 29 March 2012.

Go Ginny! I'm a big fan of the improvement of Harry's condition, as well. And suppose Harry had been a Kneazle -- he probably would have used the lives of a whole litter by now. I don't know why people refer to the luck of the Irish; the luck of Harry Potter seems to be boundless. (You know, excluding all the near-death experiences and the paralysis and stuff.)

...and with that, I think we've reached a whole new level of sleep-deprivation induced ADD. I'll just go to sleep now and spare you from any more of my ramblings. G'night! -Alisa

Author's Response: Alisa, I've enjoyed every one of your reviews and join you in sleep-deprived ramblings because sometimes I don't get a chance to use our family computer until it's late in the evening and I'm just barely keeping my eyes open. Ginny's rant in this chapter was fun to write. She's always been one to voice her opinions and she needed to do so in this story... and when she did, she helps not only her husband, but the many current and future patients who will go to St Mungo's and The Groves. Just so you know, I'm currently a fan of a work-in-progress story that has Harry thinking he's a Kneazle; when I was writing that part of the chapter, I'd just finished reading a chapter of that other story and Harry and his nine-lives stuck out in my mind. Thanks again for the review.

Great chapter! I Ioved Ginny taking everyone to task for failing her husband, that was certainly needed. I liked your solution and the obvious that firing people in a short staffing situation only makes things worse. It is hopeful that he is getting some sensation back, I hope he continues to recover.

Author's Response: Ginny really did need to be an advocate for Harry because he can't be one for himself at the moment. I think she genuinely cares about the patients at St Mungo's, so she is willing to use her influence to help raise funds for the hospital. Since Harry's just beginning to recover, he's going to have lots of highs and lows before the story ends. Some days will be extremely hard for him and others will be easy and full of hope. No matter what, he will recover, but at this point, to what degree is unknown. Thanks for writing to me.

Very good, very tense chapter. Glad Harry made it through surgery successfully, though his prognosis is not that hopeful. Poor Ginny. She must be feeling so helpless. But she certainly has been busy. The mystery deepens, and the bad guys sure are sick. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response: The next chapter comes out Thursday and I promise it won't be quite so intense. Oh yes, Ginny's been busy, mostly because she's often had the opportunity to observe the dynamics of St Mungo's in the last few years when she went to visit Harry. By discovering how others cope with the stresses of their jobs, she's thinking of ways to help relieve that stress which, in turn, is helping her cope with the anxiety and helplessness she's feeling because of Harry's injuries. And yes, I agree with you that the bad guys are rather sick; why else would they do what it looks like they've done in the cellar of the house in the Prologue. Thanks for your kind review.

I am really enjoying this story. To be honest, I have never liked sick!Harry or handicapped!Harry stories but this one just touches my heart and makes me want to keep reading. Congrats on the Trinkets! You deserved them.

Author's Response: I tend to agree with you that many of the sick/hurt/handicapped!Harry stories are rather shallow. They start out all right, but their authors tend to treat Harry's plight as a very minor inconvenience or a secondary aspect of their main plot line. They also don't take into consideration what Harry's friends and family are thinking/feeling... and that bugs me. I'm glad you like my story and want to keep reading it. If you were one of the people who voted for my story, thank you. I appreciate your kind words.

WOW! I'm so glad that Ron and harry are okay! Great chapter! I can't wait for MORE!

Author's Response: Harry and Ron were never in any danger, other than Harry's near-death experience with the exploding needle and Ron being part of the Auror team investigating the crime scene a second time. I'm glad you liked the chapter. The next chapter will be up next Thursday.

Great chapter. As I said before, and all along this is so graphic and visual for me as far as the description of the scenes you are writing...I suppose what I mean to say is this is so well written that it's a pleasure to read. Overall, my favorite part of this chapter was Ginny's reaction and explosion after Harry's surgery. It was so real and believable and rife with feeling. Great work. I especially did love how you put the Harry and Ginny kiss in at the end. Thanks for that ;) Despite the substance of the chapter and all the terrible things that happened, I am so glad they are really looking TO one another right now and not away, because you are right, if they get through it, it can only make their love and relationship stronger...In other news, I think I'm referring to Thursday as Flofday from now on until you finish posting! Thanks for writing such a terrific story that keeps me (and everyone else) coming back for more! And again congrats on your awards for this. You totally deserve them!

Author's Response: You, my friend, are the reason there is romance at the end of this chapter. I told you your comments make a big difference to the story and that scene is the result of just one. I think Harry knows, deep down, that Ginny loves him enough to stick by him in his time of need, but getting affirmation of her love like that is what's going to help him turn various corners in the future. Thank you for making the comment you did because I kept it in mind when I wrote a few other scenes for future chapters... As for FLoFDay, you have me smiling from ear to ear. I think many of my other readers will agree with you, so I'll keep posting until I run out of chapters. Thanks again for all you do.

It's always a good Thursday when there is a great chapter. I do feel Ginny may have gone a little overboard but understand she is an extremely stressed out woman. I love the detail you are giving on Ron's investigating as well as the surgery. Look forward to next week,

Author's Response: You really never know how you're going to act in times of stress. This has been a week from purgatory for her and there's no end in sight, so I don't blame her for going a little overboard or being out of character somewhat. Maybe when things calm down a little more and she can get back into a familiar routine she'll seem more like herself. I'm glad you're looking forward to Thursdays because I am, too. See you next week.

How very thorough and detailed. I am most impressed.

Author's Response: The details make the story seem real. I'm glad you like it.

I was sweating during the operation. Ginny`s meeting was really dramatic. Great chapter, but I think you were giving clues away.

Author's Response: Ah... a good mystery writer gives the readers clues, but keeps the investigators in the dark. It's sort of a contest between which side will figure the mystery out first, the readers or the characters. That's what I'm doing here. Thanks for writing.

Cool. Love this chapter. The only clue about the suspect is a 'she'. I hope I remember it right that she's a healer. So, there's Nigel and that woman from The Grove. Poor Brodie (unless he's a suspect) loosing his girl.

Author's Response: I'm glad you picked up on the gender of the main suspect. However, Madam Nigel and Silvia (Harry's physiotherapist) are very much on Harry's side; you'll have to puzzle out what other female characters might want to harm him and his fellow patients. Why would Brodie, a first year Auror on Harry/Ron's team want to harm one of his superiors? In a way, Brodie is as much a victim as Harry because of his girlfriend being killed. Thanks for speculating in writing. I hope this answer helps you put the various clues together.

Wow! Very exciting chapter! The villains involved are still a mystery though, so I'll be waiting eagerly for the next update to find out more.

Author's Response: The villains definitely want to remain anonymous for the time being, but if Ron has anything to do with it their anonymity won't last much longer. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. Thanks for telling me.
