Revelations from that suspect during interrogation. I liked the meeting between Harry and Draco.

Author's Response: Ron and his team finally received the break they were looking for and now have some specific things to act on. I'm glad you liked the meeting between Harry and Draco. They've learned to respect each other enough to ask for help when they think help is needed... and maybe even like each other more than they show others in the Wizarding world. Thanks for your observations.

I liked the exchange with Draco...it definitely has a feel good factor and looks like he's given them a really good lead. It's a shame Ron appears to have not let bygones be bygones:(

Progress certainly seems to have been made with this new suspect. It appears there are far more involved than at first anticipated. What torture this poor man has been through.

Author's Response: Ron is definitely fortunate to have arrested Mark Huntley. Mark may have gone through a lot in his association with the Matron in trying to keep his job and get his certification, but what he knows is valuable to the Aurors. I think they will be acting on this new information immediately. As for Draco, many of my readers have sided with Ron, blaming Draco and his family for much that happened in the war. However, the fact that Draco has made the decision to become a useful member of Wizarding society shows how mature he has become--I think you'll agree with me that what he did to Harry, Ron and Hermione at Hogwarts was quite juvenile in nature. If Draco actually does become a part of this investigation, he will have to work with Ron and maybe the latter will see the changes that Harry did years ago and change his mind about how he views his former rival.

I really enjoyed reading about Harry and Draco's friendship. I personally have always felt sorry for Draco, because he was in a really tough position in the books, and I think by the end he was realizing how wrong his parents were. Anyway, I was glad to see that at least in your world, Draco made amends and Harry forgave him and became a good friend. Also, liked how honest Harry was with Draco about how he was feeling and his fears.

Author's Response: My own feelings towards Draco have changed as he matured throughout the series and I agree that he was indeed in a tough position. I think that if he had been free of Voldemort's oppression at the end, he might not have made some of the choices he did. As it is, the clues JKR planted in the last chapter of DH helped me decide how to treat Draco as an adult twenty-one years after the war ended. I believe Harry saw what I did early in the aftermath and that's what fostered this friendship with Draco. I'm glad you liked that part of the chapter. Thanks for reading.

Author's Response: I'm glad you think so. Thanks for telling me.

I’m a bit confused about the interrogation part of this chapter. Why was Mark Huntley able to answer Susan’s questions when the other prisoners simply fell asleep during the same situation? It seemed that the other suspects had no control over the sleep response (though it was conveniently protective), so I assumed that Matron had cast spells to prevent her assistants from telling others about her experiments. I would imagine that Healer Stillwell will be called in soon for questions about changes that occurred after Matron’s placement in the NMI ward. Huntley’s description of the decline in patient welfare in that ward should have been noticed by Stillwell; he disciplined 2 healers in the A & E for not being observant the night Harry was brought in – it looks like Stillwell (much as I like his character) was just as guilty of failing to notice what was happening around him.

Author's Response: Mark Huntley is very much like Harry Potter in that he is able, after a time, to shake off the Imperius Curse. He was able to do so twice, the last time being shortly before Brian was victimized. That day, he pretended to still be under the Curse's influence when he allowed himself to be captured by Ron. He was also lucid enough to choose which Auror he would reveal his evidence to and when she began her interrogation, Mark cooperated fully because there was nothing preventing him--i.e., suggestions made by the Matron--from doing so. You'll find out more about this in chapter thirteen. As for Healer Stilwell, there's more about him in the next chapter as well. Thanks for writing to me. I hope this helps straighten out some of your confusion.

Yay! They are finally making some headway and getting more info from an unexpected source. Loved the scene with Draco and Harry. I agree that a friendship between Harry and Draco is very believable. In some ways they have a lot in common, in some ways, moreso than he has with Ron. Nice job.

Author's Response: I'm glad you approve of Harry and Draco's friendship and I think you're right about how much the two have in common. Thanks for writing to me. Until Thursday...

I love the way you have portrayed Draco and was glad to see how well he and Harry can get along. When they were kids, they were kids and this shows just how they have grown up. I enjoy the older versions of Harry and gang and love to see it when they actually do finally mature. Wonderful chapter!

Author's Response: Most of this story is about being a grown-up whether you're fifteen, like James, and trying your best to be grown-up when you're feeling like a child inside or you're in your forties and not behaving as someone your age should. I'm glad you like my Draco and his friendship with Harry. Time and circumstances change people and I think they changed Draco for the better. Thanks for writing to me. Until Thursday...

Well yeah Malfoy was pretty OOC but I don't think its going to be that big a part of the story so its no big deal. What did confuse me was why Harry would have thought Ron's views on Malfoy would have changed.

Malfoy did poison Ron, he did cause Ron's brother's face to be maimed, he did abuse Ron's future wife with the vilest sort of racial slurs, he was proud to be a Death Eater.

Seriously I'd be dissapointed in Ron if he didn't still hold that against malfoy.

Author's Response: Let me remind you that this is a Harry/Ginny website rather than a Ron/Hermione sight and that my story is mostly about Harry and how he interacts with the people in his life as he recovers from his accident. Ron is a small part of this story and since I'm writing it from Harry's point of view I don't know what Ron's opinions of his friendship with Draco is. Finally, I believe, just as Dumbledore did, in second chances and if Harry forming a friendship with Draco twenty years after the war bothers you, then you should stop reading my story. Thank you for sharing your opinion with me.

Yeah, I think that the years after DH wouldn't have been easy on the Malfoys. I really liked the way you've written Draco, maybe partly because that's very close to how I've imagined he'd be when he gets older.

And then about the second part of the chapter... I think a little disturbing is an understatement. Having said that, it's also very enlightening, and I get why Ron loves this particular prisoner. I think I do, too.

Author's Response: Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Draco and the prisoner. I must admit I purposely made the prisoner's report rather gruesome because the perpetrators are very sick people, especially the Matron. Hopefully, Ron can use the prisoner's information in a timely manor and close the investigation soon. I look forward to your next review. Until Thursday...

This story just keeps getting better, thank you. And congratulations on your Silver Trinket.

Author's Response: There's lots more to come, so I'm glad you'll continue to read each week. Thenk you.

I liked the Draco interaction. The rest is just waiting for the updates.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked that section. You won't have to wait very long, just a few more days until next Thursday! Thanks for reviewing.

Great chapter. It was interesting to see Draco and Harry's friendship. Can't wait to see more :)

Author's Response: Thanks. I thought a long time about how to present their friendship because not everyone would like how Draco has been changed by time and circumstances. There will be more like this in future chapters. Until next Thursday...

Excellent chapter in a very good story. I appreciate the background on how Draco changed in your story. It doesn't quite work for me (would Harry dedicate that time to Draco-and why?) but no debate neexed or wanted. Its well thought out and as always, Ron is the dependable one.

Author's Response: Thanks.

Author's Response: I've told several other reviewers that due to time and Harry's sense of duty, he probably started out visiting the Malfoys because he felt obligated to due to Narcissa's actions in DH. I don't mind that you disagree with my ideas because it's hard to please everyone. I'm glad you accept my opinion as I respect yours. And yes, I agree that Ron is the one Harry can depend on to carry out the investigation the way it should be. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Until next Thursday...

Wow! What a cool chapter! I'm very glad you included Draco. I do think that if Him and Harry weren't so prejudiced against each other in the books that they probably would have been decent to each other. Plus I think that Draco changed between the end of DH through to years later. I had to let out a little giggle when Draco mentioned that Ginny and Astoria went to a lingerie store! Hehehe! Anyways, I can't wait for more!

Author's Response: It seems the two of us agree on what might have transpired had circumstances been different during Harry and Draco's school years. As I was writing the chapter, my main thoughts were about how time, circumstance and social pressure interact to change people; in this case, the changes in Draco have been positive ones and although he and Harry will never be as close as Harry and Ron are, they have managed to become friends all the same. By the way, it probably didn't hurt that Ginny and Asteria were friends at Hogwarts. Those two needed a little fun, and maybe even some "girl time", especially Ginny. Thanks for the thoughtful reveiw and I'll see you next Thursday...

I'm not normally a fan of "rehabilitated" Draco, but for some reason your portrayal of him does not bother me. I like the way you have written his personality and the unexpected friendship with Harry. Well done!

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked my take on Draco. In reality, I don't see him as "rehabilitated" but rather "changed" by time and circumstance. Both men will have been affected by what they did and saw during the war and experiences like those always leave their mark. That they have used what they've learned over the years in a positive way has resulted in mutual respect as well as friendship. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me. Until next Thursday...

Another riveting chapter. Now we seem to be getting to the root of all the evil that has been occurring. This Draco really fits in well with my idea of where he would be 20 years on from the Battle of Hogwarts, cautious still but prepared to go to Harry under difficult circumstances. Harry’s sense of honour would probably have been evident time and again in the immediate aftermath of the Battle and Draco would have seen that. Ironic that you place part of the action in Woolwich, an area that I unfortunately know quite well; I can’t criticise your analysis of the area however. As much as some of the older buildings have long gone, there is still a large proportion of shall we say less desirable residents in the area.

Looking forward to what happens next.

Author's Response: When I was choosing the location for Draco's warehouse, I spent a long time browsing through various map sites looking through their satalite photos of various areas in London. Once I'd settled on Woolwich it was easy to imagine how it might have been twenty-odd years previously because of how the city I live in has changed in that same amount of time... and not all fore the better! As for Draco's friendship with Harry, you and I seem to think alike: no one can go through what they did in the war and come out unscathed. They both learned Dumbledore's lesson on doing what is right over what is easy and I'm nearly certain that Harry's first visits to Narcissa and Draco were done out of his sense of obligation and duty. I think that the more time they spent together, the easier it became to be open and honest so that the two eventually learned to respect and maybe even like each other. Thanks for writing to me. See you next Thursday...

Debate issues? LOL. I am just enjoying reading the story. When is the next installment? This is truly very imaginative and creative. You do know how to tell a tale. Well done, you.

Author's Response: When my beta brought up the subject of the "e" verses "o" in Draco's wife's name, I had the same reaction. However, after discussing it with her, I decided to put in my "disclaimer" so that my readers would know I'd given the subject some thought. Anyway, I'm glad you're reading the story and looking forward to my next chapter. I publish on Thursdays and the next one will come out on June 30. I hope to see a review from you . Until next Thursday...

I found end of the chapter a bit hard to read (disturbing) so I skipped some paragraphs, but good chapter otherwise.

Author's Response: I don't blame you for skipping some paragraphs, but you can now understand what the Aurors are dealing with and the urgency of capturing the perpetrators. The criminals are ruthless and will stop at nothing--why else would they "happily" victimize an innocent fifteen-year-old just to see whether a new potion was effectively doing its job? Anyway, thank you for reading and reviewing. Until next Thursday.
