Well written chapter showing how much the family is struggling to adjust in lots of little ways, while at the same time, life has to go on. Great news about Teddy and Victoire.

Author's Response: This is just the beginning of this particular kettle of fish. The kids seem to be doing fine around Harry, but I think you'll agree that Ginny's mothering instinct has gone into overdrive and is about to become a problem, even with the talk she had with Harry. Yes, the family definitely needed something happy happen that wasn't connected with Harry in some way. Thanks for reading.

I think ginny has slowed down enough for reality to seep in even more. They haven't discussed the lack of intimacy between them and I think they're going to have to discuss how that affects them and how to work around it.

22 people in the house...lol! No wonder it's hard to find a quiet spot. I'm interested to see his the Ferrari pans out.

Author's Response: I think it's safe to say that George has convinced Harry to keep the Ferrari for the time being because there is still hope that Harry will regain the use of his legs. And even if he doesn't, Ginny likes to drive the car, so why not keep it and let her drive it when they want some special time together? They're going to need some quiet time together sometime soon, so don't you think a driving to a place that's peaceful for both of them is a good place to have such a conversation? I do.

That ending was sad! I feel bad for everyone in this story. I just want it to all magically work itself out! But alas, then it wouldn't be a story if everything was perfect. Thanks again for the update.

Author's Response: There's a lot more to this story. Some of it will be as sad as this chapter and some of it will be much happier. Eventually, like everything in life, the Potters will work through their sadness and come to a place where they can be happy again. Thanks for reading. See you Thursday...

Great chapter. I'm with Ginny...I'm really mad at the people who hurt Harry too! You hit a really good balance between adapting and life moving on with the opposition of the fact that everything has changed and there will be periods of mourning. And sometimes the things that hit hardest are the little things (like sleeping arrangements and not being able to reach for a hand). Well done!

Author's Response: I'm glad you like this part of the story. One of my other readers pointed out that it's the women who most often feel the changes in a relationship acutely. Little things like reaching for a hand or having to bend down to give a kiss are the most noticable. I'm glad you think the chapter's balance is good because I didn't want it to be too angsty or too fluffy. Thanks for your comments. Until next Thursday...

Great chapter. Really shows how much accommodating needs to be done. I'm surprised they did do more to make the Burrow wheelchair friendly and hadn't thought about sleeping arrangements. But I guess if you dont' deal with it on a day to day basis, you tend to forget or at least not think about it. Nice scene with George. Feeling Ginny's pain. Nothing is the same anymore. A little bit of happiness though, to offset the struggles.

Author's Response: Actually, until the Potter family reached The Burrow, Molly was going with her usual sleeping arrangement plan for even Harry--that is, he and Ginny would sleep in Ginny's old room as they traditionally had done--as well as not done a thing about accommodating Harry's needs. That's why Harry had to propel himself up the front steps and the front door was too narrow for his chair. I think Molly had decided to wait and see what transpired when Harry finally arrived. It's nice to read other reviews like yours where the readers identify with one or more of the characters. Thanks for making my day...

I liked this chapter very much. You show some progress for poor Ginny and Harry--but still issues. Its not easy. Ginny crying in bed at the end of the long day seems very real.

I liked how you showed the interaction of the family members--Hugo repeatedly stepping in it like his father might have done. Audrey triggering Hermione's protectiveness regarding Harry. George's close relationship to Harry, and Molly being bothered but overcoming it. Really nice details.

Thanks again.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked all the different points of view found in this chapter. This was one of those chapters that practically wrote itself because I've thought so much about how the assembled Weasleys would react to seeing Harry and how they interact with each other. They're all trying to pretend to one degree or another that they're not upset by the changes in Harry and Ginny and the fact that they sense the two are having problems. First holidays after a death or accident are always difficult and this one's no exception. Thanks for reading and writing to me. Until next Thursday...

Nice chapter, but rather sad. It makes sense that the family would all have varied reactions. I love that Hugo inherited his fathers foot in mouth disease :)

Author's Response: SQUEEE! Congratulations to you! Your review is number 200 for For Love of Family! That said, this chapter runs the gambit for emotions, although I do tend to agree with you that there's an undercurrent of sadness in it, especially at the end. However, I agree with you that it's rather fun that Hugo takes after Ron. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts with me.

Such a heartwarming chapter but I must say I was just a little dissapointed in Molly. She is normally a take charge, strong woman and to come across as petty about upsetting her routine, just didn't sound like Molly. I am still enjoying the story so far but how is Ron coming along with finding the criminals?

Author's Response: Molly's frustration with the disturbance in her yearly routine is actually more than just a quibble over tradition. The last quarter of the year was massively changed due to Harry's being hurt and like Ginny, Molly is feeling a little overwhelmed. She's coping with her feelings better than her daughter is because she's not having to deal with Harry's condition/affliction on a daily basis; she only comes in contact with it when she visits him at The Groves or when he's physically in The Burrow. If you read the paragraph dealing with her thoughts about Harry and Ginny sleeping in the sitting room again, you'll see that she does deal with this new problem, even though she doesn't like it. She also feels that she can safely tell Arthur what's bothering her without being judged. I'm sure there's someone in your life who is much like Molly and I'm also fairly certain that that person sometimes has out of character slip-ups that show their frustration or anger. Molly is human, not super-human, so give her a break... after all, she did come up with a solution to her problem. I'm glad you continue to enjoy the story. Until next Thursday...
