I really hope that Scorpius manages to escape soon. His situation is so horrible right now. Glad Ginny is seeking help.It is always hard to admit that you cannot handle something.
Author's Response: Like you said in another review, Ginny is an amazing woman and while she's feeling better about herself and her role in the family, she knew she could be even better if she took some "me time" to do something for herself. As for Scorpius, he, too, is a resourceful young man and even as scared as he is, he will be able to think clearly and figure out how to help himself. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I only hope scorpius is successful...it doesn't bear thinking of if he isn't...
I think us muggles are definitely better at seeking outside help...the image I get of the USA is where it is very commonplace, in fact almost fashionable to have a "shrink" but in the UK it's not stigmatised (cant say not at all) but not that common
Author's Response: When I was writing this chapter I consulted several of my UK friends as well as my American ones to see what they thought of Ginny getting help from the counselors at The Groves. The consensus was that under the circumstances, because Ginny had first tried and failed to soldier through her troubles alone, it was time for her to seek professional help... Wizarding public opinion be hanged! Besides, her husband was in a Muggle facility, receiving Muggle therapy, so why not take advantage of the services offered? As for Scorpius, you'll just have to keep reading to find out whether he is successful or not. Thanks for reading.

Author's Response: Unfortunately, because Scorpius hasn't learned to Apparate yet, he will have to be rather daring and courageous is he's going to save himself. Otherwise, he's going to have to be rescued. As for Ginny, since she hit bottom at Christmas, the only way for her is to go up and with help, her outlook on life is sure to improve. Quite a variety in this chapter. I'm rooting for Scorpius. So glad he hasn't just given up. Nice to see that Ginny is working on getting herself back on track and that Harry is making more progress. The quiet before the storm, I expect?
Author's Response: You've hit the nail on the head... oh, yes, this is the quiet before the storm! I estimate there are eight more chapters left in this particular tale, so the characters are definitely reaching their goals which will lead to the conclusion. I'm glad you're rooting for Scorpius. He's a plucky kid and still needs the encouragement of those reading about his plight. As for Harry and Ginny, they're both making progress in their own way and I predict their marriage will be stronger for what they're learning about themselves and each other. Yeah! I am so glad that Ginny is finally getting some help. The kids are great. I love James, many times he is portrayed as just a jokester with no other qualities, but you have created a multi-dimensional character who I really like.
Author's Response: I'm very happy you like my James. He's at that awkward age where he's left childhood behind, but isn't quite ready to be an adult, even though he's tried so hard throughout the story to be the man he thinks he's supposed to be. Of course, he's a prankster--he'd have to be in order to survive being the nephew and cousin of George and Fred Jr--but he's also trying to be the rock his younger brother and sister need in order to survive the difficult times the Potter family is experiencing. As for Ginny, she realizes she's still so unstable after what happened at Christmas that she won't have her life back if she doesn't do something about it... and that takes courage. Plenty going on in this chapter. I am a bit confused by the time line (I am very easily confused these days). How long has Scorpius been held captive now?
Author's Response: To be exact, Scorpius was kidnapped on Saturday 2 January. At this point in the timeline, it's Tuesday, 5 January. I don't blame you for being confused, especially in the last chapter where the times of day jumped all over the place. I've done a linear timeline for this part of the story and it's so covered in bubbles denoting separate segments of the story, it's hard to read! That's one reason why I put the dates and times in the chapters. Thanks for asking. By the way, I'm easily confused by the timeline of this story, too, sometimes! Until next Thursday...

Slowly killing me! I dont anymore people to suffer. I do enjoy the story but I think I am about done with the torture. I am on pins and needles (no pun intended) waiting to know why they have done this...

Author's Response: Just so you know I have planned thirty-four chapters. We're on twenty-seven right now, so the end is in sight. Unfortunately, because of the nature of the Matron's dementia and hatred (which is focused on Healer Stilwell and is explained in chapter thirteen) I can't guarantee there won't be more torture. What I can promise is that the next two chapters are a lot lighter in nature, a lot more hopeful. I hope this helps. Thanks for reading.

Great work as always. It's good to see Ginny asking for help. You have to take care of yourself first. And it's good to see how clever Scorpius is. I wonder how Ron would take him and Rose. Maybe we will see? And it's good to see Harry's therapist not allow him to give up even though he had a bit of scare. KUTGW!
You made a small error though. Madam Shannon would not refer to Lily as Miss Weasley.
Author's Response: I thought it was time Ginny started thinking about herself. She's not as involved in Harry's care now and actually has time for herself to do things she wants/needs to do besides what she does for the Daily Prophet. In answer to your wondering about Ron's reaction to Scorpius and Rose, I think he must might be a little more open to the suggestion because of the fact that he's begun to accept Draco for who he's become rather than the rival the two were in school. Oh, my goodness! A lot in one chapter! I love the prank James and Lily are planning. Their twin uncles would be proud, and it's easy to see how much the three Potter children care about each other. I'm a little surprised though that cousin Rose wasn't interested in helping cheer up Albus, too.
Good for Ginny. It's nice to see her focusing on herself again. She was beginning to get it over Christmas of course, but there's obviously still a lot for her to work through. I was a little surprised that she was so worried about what people would think of her for getting help, though. Seemed a little un-Ginny to me, but then again, she's been dealing with a lot.
Yay! for the Scorpius update as well. It's good to see he's thinking clearly. It sounds like it might just save him, and just in the nic of time. I'm looking forward to seeing how that goes. I'm picturing a very mad matron, lol. Excellent work. Keep it up. :)
Author's Response: The closer we get to the end of this story, the more I seem to be piling into each of the chapters. I'm glad you think Fred and George would be proud of James and Lily's ideas for cheering Al up. I think the reason I left Rose to her moping over Scorpius' disappearance is because of how close the Potter children are; of course, if she'd asked to be included, James would have acquiesced and maybe even welcomed the help (a few less spell books to flip through). After all, it would be a case of family helping family. Speaking of getting/giving help, you're right about Ginny dealing with a tremendous emotional burden which has caused her to not be sure of herself in some instances. (I think her main concern, which she didn't voice aloud to Hermione, is that she will be teased unmercifully by her brothers about it--a childhood fear that might have resurfaced.) Finally, I couldn't bring myself to hurt Scorpius like I did Brian. Instead, he just may end up a bit of a hero to the Aurors in the next chapter or two. Thanks for reading. Until next Thursday...

Wow! Lots packed into this chapter. Loved that James and Lily found a Marauder potion to prank Al with. Great progress for Harry in the pool and great progress for Ginny seeking counseling. Best of all - Scorpius has his wand! Hope he manages his escape, that could break the case wide open. Great chapter!
Author's Response: Since we're nearing the end of this story, events are going to start coming thick and fast. I'm glad you're already enjoying the pranks Lily and James are setting up to help Al cheer up and are happy with Harry and Ginny's individual progress. As for Scorpius, he may be mistreated by the Matron and her cohorts, but I just couldn't turn him into another of her victims. Instead, he just might end up a bit of a hero.
