Glad the rescue mission is over. Hopefully everyone will recover from their ordeals and the Matron will rot for eternity.

Author's Response: The Matron will rot after everyone finds out the reasons for her reign of terror. It will take time, but I predict that most characters in this story will have a happy ending.

Gosh, all through the battle at the cave I was thinking "Hurry back Susan, Hurry back Susan, hurry back Susan!! and it was Garrett that came and save the day...I love him even more now!!

I hope Scorpious will let it all out...I'm sure seeing his dad like that will let him know that it is alright...I hate stoic men...okay maybe a bit strong, but a man that can show his emotions is a treasure:)

I thought the others would have realised what had happend to Mary Beth, so I'm very glad Harry was there. I also really loved the "Yes Sir!" from Brodie. Harry may be in a wheelchair but he is still a commanding figure who garners respect, and it was a lovely moment to witness:)

Author's Response: I'm glad you like it that Garrett was the hero of the moment. Also, Scorpius will let it all out because of his dad showing him how much he cares; after all this time, Draco has learned a lot thing and one of those is that showing one's emotions isn't a sign of weakness (as most men think). As I was writing this chapter, I had a few decisions to make and one of them was whether or not to have the Aurors leave Mary Beth or sacrifice one of their wands to take her to St Mungo's. I think they knew they would not take very long to finish capturing the Matron and her cronies, so that's why they left her. I'm glad that Brodie's respectful "Yes, sir!" was something you liked. Harry needed that to realize that he still commands even though he isn't standing on two feet.

Malfory Manor is not in Devon but in Wiltshire.

So good Scorpius is back with his parents.

Author's Response: Thanks for catching that. I've corrected it. I appreciate your telling me.

Excellent chapter. I'm so glad Scorpius is finally back with his parents. I thought it was really sweet how Draco's presence was what comforted him enough to really get some rest.

And Yay! The Matron is caught! She was a pretty sadistic one, wasn't she? I'm frustrated, though, that she managed to hurt another one of the aurors. I'm hoping they are able to help her in time. I'm actually surprised they didn't rush her to St. Mungos or have her portkey right away once she felt that she was hit with something since they know the kinds of things the Matron is capable of.

It's nice to see the investigation come to a pretty successful close. I'm hoping we'll get to see some of the interrogation process now, and I'm looking forward to a little more Harry and his family now. I'm excited to see how it all pans out.

Author's Response: It was definitely time for the Malfoy family to reunite. Scorpius has been brave and resourceful, but he's still only fourteen and it's important to him to know his parents--especially his father--love him. That's why, when Draco wouldn't let go of his hand, Scorpius was able to relax. The tricky part about the Matron's attacks on the Aurors is that she strikes and her weapons reseal their entry holes. Mary Beth knew she was hit, but didn't have time to investigate what was done to her: it wasn't a spell that would give immediate results, nor was it like an animal bite or sting. Therefore, she kept fighting until her body said no more. That's the reason she didn't leave the cave immediately after she was hit. The next few chapters, including the sections dealing with the Matron (Shirley Gorman) have yet to be written out fully. They're in outline form right now, but not fully formed into a cohesive chapter, which means that you just might get to see some of the Auror's interrogation of the Matron. There will be another chapter next week, but it won't deal much with her. I hope you'll like it. See you next Thursday...

Great action packed chapter! Lovely Malfoy reunion. Scorpius is still great. Glad Harry could still be useful - as a friend, as an Auror, etc.

Author's Response: Scorpius is a great kid all-around. I've had fun writing him. As for Harry, he's determined to get his life back, and when his instincts kick in like they did at St Mungo's, he knows he can still be a useful member of Wizarding society. Thanks for reading and letting me know what you think. See you next Thursday.

I'm very glad that Scorpius is safe and back with his parents. My only comment is the portion from the Matron's point of view I found rather confusing. I had to read it several times to make sure I understood what had happened.

Author's Response: I think your confusion comes from my hastily thrown-together section, but if the Matron's point of view was the only part that seems to be lacking in quality, I think I'll count the fact that you seem to like the rest of the chapter as a compliment. There will be more about her in future chapters, but none from her point of view. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me. Constructive criticism always helps me be a better writer. Until next Thursday, then...

Great chapter! Was on the edge of my seat for the whole battle, really was well written. And the Malfoy reunion? I would think everyone had a lump in their throat reading that. Was so great to see Harry back in action in the A and E when they brought in Mary Beth. I think he probably saved her life, didn't he? And thanks for working so hard to get the update out. Really well done. Seeing Harry in this chapter, I didn't even think of him in a wheelchair. And really loved when things calmed down Harry sent for his best source of comfort :)

Author's Response: I'm tickled pink that I kept you on edge during the battle. That kind of action is becoming easier for me to write, so I'm pleased I could create that sort of tension. The Malfoy family reunion and showing that Harry is definitely ready to go back to work and continue contributing to the Wizarding world were also important for me to communicate with my readers. And yes, Ginny will always be Harry's best source of comfort in my stories... he will aways need her love and approval no matter what. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts with me. I'll see you next Thursday.

GREAT CHAPTER.....So do they really keep the Matron in Azkaban or does something else happen....she's awfully slippery....

Author's Response: Yes, the Matron is a slippery character, but you'll have to keep reading my future updates to see her fate. I'm glad you liked the chapter. There's another one in the works for next week. See you then.

I am so glad that you got her! I hated to know that there is another woman Auror is now suffering at the hands of a sadist. What the crap? I loved your piece with Scorpius and Draco. It made me cry. I am thankful that I am at work and no one was around as I sniffled. I cannot wait to see what Ron is going to do with Harry. I am sure that there is something going to happen to Healer Stilwell. I dont know but I get a strange feeling about it and hope that it doesnt happen,. He has been soooo great in the treatment and aide of the Aurors and the persons who have been involved in doing the dirty work.
Is it crazy to want justice?

Author's Response: Just so you know, Mary Beth will probably be all right in the end because of two things: one, Harry was able to help determine what was wrong with her and two, she is a co-worker, not an adult role model Harry has come to love. The only thing I can say about the Matron is that for now she's in Auror custody, so she won't be able to hurt anyone for the time being. You'll have to keep reading my updates to see what really happens to her. I'm very glad you like my Draco and Scorpius as well as Healer Stilwell. They've been fun characters to write and I'm going to miss them once this story is completed. And no, I don't think it's crazy to want justice. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me. See you next Thursday.

Awesome Chapter! I'm so glad that Scorpius is safe! We need a chapter of Harry with his family now!

Author's Response: As the wicked witch in the "Wizard of Oz" says, "All in good time, my pretty!" Because I'm wrapping the loose ends up in these last chapters, there will defintiely be more of Harry and his family coming up. I'm glad you liked the chapter and thank you for writing to me. Until next Thursday...

Well, I thought we would have known the Matron from her name - Shirley Gorman? But no, she's not known! LOL Nice chapter!

Author's Response: The villain has always been an OC, so I'm glad I was able to surprise you. At one point I entertained the notion that it was Dolores Umbridge, but her age didn't fit my image of the Matron, so I created Shirley. I'm glad you liked the chapter. Thanks for telling me.

Because they know what they are up against I think Mary Beth should be all right. I really like the person you have made Draco to be in this story and Scorpius is brilliant. Such a lot has happened in the last couple of chapters, one tends to forget that one of the main plots of this story is Harry`s wheelchair bound condition. More to come I think.

Author's Response: I like your positive attitude, so yes, you're absolutely right about Mary Beth not dying because of Harry's quick, take-charge attitude. He's actually proven to himself that he's ready to go back to work, that he really can still make a difference, which has probably been a driving factor all his adult life. I have several wheelchair-bound friends and half the time I forget that they're limited in some way because of how active they are: I want Harry to be like that, the same determined, vital presence in the Auror Department who, even though he's now limited, can still be the leader he's always been. Also, in a way, I think Draco has turned out like that, too, but only on a smaller scale. He has the respect of his family and the people he employs, which is certainly different from what his father was. To be honest, I think of Scorpius as the Gryffindor his father should have been, if not for their heritage. Thanks for reading and commenting.

Great job on the battle scene and the Malfoy reunion. You've definitely done a good job on making Draco a good and caring parent. KUTGW!

Author's Response: Battle scenes are becoming easier for me to write. I'm glad you like the scene and the Malfoy family reunion. As for Draco, since the end of DH, I've thought that he has wanted to be a completely different parent than Lucius was to him (I've always thought Lucius was impossible to please which would be very hard for a young child to cope with), so that is why I write him as I do. Thanks for the review.
