Too bad for us readers, but that is quite understandable!
I've got a few stories which I read several times as well, some unfortunately unfinished.
But if you got some good suggestions..

Author's Response: I do have some suggestions. I'll send them to you.

Still my favourite Hinny fic. Must've read it at least six times.
Still secretly hoping for some kind of sequel!

Author's Response: Thank you for reading so often! I have several stories that I keep coming back to, myself, so I'm flattered that my story is your favorite. To tell the truth, I've started several sequels or stories within the universe that follow up on themes or ideas from this story, but time and hungry computers that swallow my work have discouraged me from trying to rewrite them. Maybe one day I'll spend the money to recover the documents from our old computers and finish those stories!

Great ending to an extraordinary story.

Author's Response: Thank you for every one of your comments. I'm very glad you enjoyed the story.

I only read the first 2 chapters and the last 5, but I wanted to say you are a gifted writer. I'm sorry I could not read the rest of the story, but I really did not feel in the mood to read all the suffering Harry would have to go through. Some days I just want to read happy stuff. But what I did read was really good and maid me feel great and made me want to reseda more on how people with disabilities cope.

Author's Response: Thank you for reading the chapters you did and for telling me about it. There's no need to apologize. Much of what I cover in the story reflects what Harry's entire family goes through after his accident because when someone gets hurt to the extent that Harry does in this story, the victim's plight affects everyone close to him. I hope that someday you will decide to read the entire story because it's not all about suffering; there are many small triumphs for everyone in the Potter-Weasley clan as they support Harry and each other as well as the Malfoy and Nelson families. What they do will make some of the things in the last five chapters you read become clearer. Also, I hope you'll find the time to read the other stories in the series. They're mostly one-shots and so far, they all deal with Harry and Ginny's early life as a married couple. For the most part, the subjects are happy. I appreciate the time you took to review this story.

I've thoroughly enjoyed reading this story with it's slightly different angle to anything I've found before. What you did to Harry seemed really cruel at first, but the whole family certainly came through with flying colours in the end. I thought you made really good use of a wide range of canon characters, and your own additions fitted in well. There was plenty in the storyline to keep my interest the whole way along, so thank you for a really good - and delightfully long - read.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed the many aspects of my story. I wrote it because I was tired of reading stories where Harry is hurt catastrophically at the beginning of the story and five chapters in, he's completely cured and acting like he'd never encountered whatever caused him to be hurt in the first place or the author forgets his injuries and begins writing as if Harry was whole. That's not how life is for the victim or the family of the victim and I wanted to show how Harry's accident and recovery affected everyone he is important to. I hope you'll find the time to read my other stories, especially the ones in the Family Series. I look forward to answering more of your reviews.

Brilliant story. I did think in the early chapters that Harry was going to have some miraculous recovery...this is the magical world of HP after all...lol! But I soon began thinking that it wouldn't be right in this instance and in some way it was respectful to readers who are or know someone paralysed. Harry got to where he was at the end through plain hard graph and excellent care...a good pointer for us all to take away.

I really found it terribly amusing when ginny asked Harry to put the living room furniture in the empty box at the bottom of their wardrobe. It became even funnier when she then went on to mention losing the sofa previously. How I'd love to store stuff like that, but I am positive I'd be like her shouting, has anyone seen the piano, table or double bed just like now with the scissors, tickets or pillow case!!!!

Author's Response: I've seen the state of my living room after my son has a sleep-over when things of ours have temporarily gone missing or we've found things that aren't ours and have to phone the friends to find out whose they are. It was an easy stretch to have Ginny make her request because, like you, I've had to inquire about thing's we've misplaced. When I started this story, it was in reaction to the many stories on the web that have Harry become grievously hurt and then recover immediately without any complications or emotional turmoil. Life isn't like that, not real life, and I always feel insulted when I read stories like that, mostly because I think they trivialize the stuggles paralyzed people and their families and friends go through. Sure this is a fantasy story, but I wanted it to be real, something others could identify with and I've been richly rewarded by the many reviews from nurses, the disabled and the people who know someone who is struggling with depression or paralysis or grief. Thank you for your reviews. I've enjoyed conversing with you about my story and hope you will continue to read my work.

This was an amazing journey and story. It was hard to read at first, not because of your writing, but simply because I felt like I was actually there experiencing all the pain and anguish all the characters were going through. The mystery with the Matron was truly intense and so glad she was caught! I, of course, wanted Harry to be able to walk again and was very happy that he would be able to to some extent. Thanks for that! I apologize for not being able to comment on every chapter, but my favorite part of this entire story was how Harry and Ginny's relationship was able to weather this storm and together they were overcame the obstacles Harry's injuries threw at them.. Also, loved, loved their relationships with their children and the children's personalities. Great, great job. You should be immensely proud.

Author's Response: First of all, it makes me proud that the beginning chapters made the story very real for you. I was hoping that by seeing the situation through more than one point of view, the reader would be drawn in and experience what was happening to the Potter family on a more personal level than through just one point of view. To tell the truth, I've never been very good at writing truly evil characters, so I'll take it as praise that you thought the mystery of her identity and the fact that she was eventually caught was a good thing! As for Harry walking, there never was any question that he'd at least try; that he'll ever walk unaided won't happen because the Matron did too much damage with her pit, her needles and the spells associated with them. I've always thought that once Harry found the right person to marry (i.e. Ginny) he would do all in his power to be the husband and father that he was never allowed to have as a child. I don't think Vernon and Petunia would have had the strenth and fortitude Harry and Ginny have to weather such a tragedy and come out on the other side stronger for it: somehow, that's been a quality of the HP original canon that has kept me reading books like OotP (my least favorite of the series) multiple times. There will definitely be new stories in this universe which will continue to explore Harry and Ginny's relationships with their children; I love the characters I've created and I definitely want to know more about their lives. Thanks for reading and for writing to me whe you had the opportunity. And yes, I'm quite proud of finishing this story.

I wasn't sure if I wanted Harry to walk again or not, but I like the way you ended it. Everyone is getting a second chance where they need it, and even Brian is finding ways to turn his curse into a blessing. Wonderful job, I spent most of my weekend reading as I was completely wrapped up in the story. You had me on the edge when they were going after the Matron :) I really didn't want it to end, I can only hope you dabble in this world again.

Author's Response: I'm glad I'm not the only one who spends entire weekends or stays up too late reading a great fic from one end to the other and you've made me smile to think that my story is one of those for you. Thanks for reading and I'm already writing on a one-shot in this universe.

I just finished your amazing story. As someone who's been brought back to life by paramedics and now has an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator in his chest, I can voucn for the accuracy of your protrayal of Harry's and his family's emotional journey. Most days I do okay, others I truly miss being out on the road, trying to get at least 10,000 miles driven each month. When I consider the tasks I no longer can legally or physically do, well, let's just say it sucks royally.

Like Harry and Brian, I've had to find my new normal.

Author's Response: Your review, like many others I've received for this story, has touched me deeply. I appreciate your comments on how accurately I've portrayed the Potter family in this situation and thank you for sticking with the story to the end. I wish you well on your continued medical journey and sincerely hope that like Harry and Brian, you find peace with the changes in your life and happiness in whatever comes next for you.

Pretty decent wrap up. I didn't think you'd leave Harry in the chair permanently, but Brian's desire to compete in the Paralympics was a surprise.

Author's Response: I'm glad you think I did a decent job summing everything up. I've told many of my reviewers that after so many horrible things happening in his life, Harry needed some hope and a happy ending, even if it is with a new normal. As for Brian, he was very competitive before he was hurt the first time, with the dream of eventually signing with one of the professional Quidditch teams. That competitiveness hasn't diminished one bit, he's just channeling his desires in a direction he knows might be possible. As I see it, there are no sporting competitions for disabled witches and wizards, so if Brian wants to compete, he has to go to the Muggle world to do so. That's why he wants to compete in the Paralympics. Thanks for reading and writing to me so often.

This was such an excellent ending to such a great story. I was expecting the epilogue to be much further in the future for some reason, but this was perfect. I love how you showed all of the budding relationships, and I think my favorite parts were the ones with Draco and Asteria (can't ever remember how to spell her name). They've honestly been my favorite parts in the entire book. So few do what you did with their characters. It was a pleasure to see them finally realizing they can be accepted and that this group of people are willing to be their friends. I do hope we see a bit of them in your future one shots.

Once again, I say thank you for such a wonderful story, and this one definitely has my vote for best completed when the Silver Trinkets come back up.

Author's Response: I chose to make the epilogue so close to the ending of the story because there were things I wanted to put in it that wouldn't be possible during the school year. Besides, that gives me an excuse to persue the one-year anniversary of Harry's accident, the budding relationships between Lily and Brian and Rose and Scorpius, and Albus and Scorpius' celebrating a birthday and a rescue, as well as the Bahamas trip. I've read many post-war stories where Draco is a bitter man, dwelling on the indignities he's had to suffer because of his actions as a teenager, and that characterization just doesn't sit with me well. At the end of DH, Draco is already starting to suffer the consequences of his actions and I think Harry understood that and therefore made the effort to befriend his former rival. A lot can happen in twenty-odd years to change one's outlook on life, and despite what a few of my readers say, I think Draco learned from his mistakes and applied those lessons to become the man I wrote about in this story. It just felt right to show the other characters accepting him and Asteria and inviting them into their circle of friends. I'm glad that subplot was one of your favorites. Thank you for your many reviews and for reading my story.

Wonderful, lovely story. I enjoyed it a lot. I hope sometime in the future we get to see Brian and Lily's relationship blossom. Awesome job :)

Author's Response: There will definitely be more of Lily's relationship with Brian in my future fics. I can't let that particular story line go yet, so you'll get the chance to watch these two mature. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story. Thanks for reading.

I'm so sad to see the story go, although I thought it was a beautiful ending! You're a brilliant writer, and I look forward to reading more from you. Now it's time to go and read it all the way through again; I only do that with the really good books. This was one of those rare stories where I loved reading every word. Nothing was boring, nothing seemed out of place or out of context. Your characters were so very real, as well. You aged them very well, keeping with the characterization, but giving them room to grow. Oh, I'm just gushing at this point. Again, well done! ~Maria

Author's Response: The key, for me, to keeping the characters in character at this point in their lives is to write what I know. I'm just a few years older than Harry and Ginny are in this story, so it was easy to age them up and have them act believably. I'm sad to see this story go, too, so I've started outlining several more stories in this universe. I don't know when I'll publish them, but I'm definitely not ready to say good-bye to this universe. Thank you for reading... and re-reading my story. I'm honored that you're going to take the time to read it a second time.

Excellent ending to a wonderful story. I have to admit to some misgivings at first becasue I'm canon girl, but you did a wonderful job and your AU seemed very plausible.
Thanks for the ride.

Author's Response: Even though this story was AU, it was based quite a bit on what is in canon. I tried very hard to keep all the main characters in character, even though they are in their forties. I also took some of the clues we were given in the Epilogue of DH and imagined what might have happened to shape them into the mature adults I was writing about. I'm glad you enjoyed the story and thank you for reading and writing to me.

My favourite chapter ever! Simply perfect. Looking forward to your one-shots about the budding romances between Lily and Brian, Rose and Scorpius. Wonder if, somewhere down the track, you could write a one-shot or two about Harry and Ginny, pre the events in this story, eg, post DH final battle ones?

Cheers and many thanks :)

Author's Response: Thank you for the suggestion. I take the time to consider every one my readers give me and I've put yours on the list! Thank you for reviewing my chapters and for reading my story.

Outstanding story. To bad it is over. You should have had Ginny get pregnant. They could use a change of life baby. Could of had another story / sequel.

Author's Response: Good heavens! I can't imagine Ginny and Harry going through pregnancy, and then coping with nappies and all the paraphernalia a baby needs at forty-something, especially with three children at Hogwarts. If you want to write that story, be my guest. I think I'll stick to Lily and James' romances and discovering the Bahamas with Arthur and Molly. I'm glad you enjoyed my story. Thank you for reading it.

This has been a wonderful story. I have loved the interaction between the adults but also how the kids react. I do hope you write more stories in this universe. It would be nice to see how the kids turn out when they are grown,.

Author's Response: I have started creating the outlines for several sequels, so there definitely will be more stories in this universe. It has been fun creating Harry's children from the few clues we were given in the epilogue of DH and I'm not ready to give them up yet. I'm glad you've enjoyed my story. I learned a lot and had fun writing it. Thank you for reading.
