I loved your last paragraph. I felt so good for Harry there. Nice story.

Author's Response: Thank you for the review. Yes, there at the end Harry does have a nice feeling that it isn't just him anymore, and that it is his place. I struggled with the ending, so I'm glad that you felt that it worked.

Very enjoyable. I loved the line - You may be Father Christmas, but he's Harry Potter. Too funny. Nice job.

Author's Response: Thanks for the read & review, Emlyn. Yes, a fake Father Christmas is one thing, but a very real Harry Potter is quite another. Thanks again! Jeff

I have to say that after reading your last post on SIYE, I have been across the road catching up on your other stuff. Your characterisations are just glorious. I think you write about really nice people. Thank you for a wonderful read.

Author's Response: Thanks, Dad. I like the phrase "across the road" as that is a good way to say 'the place where the non-Harry and Ginny stories reside.' Thank you for the kind words on characterization, I have to say it made my day. Harry and Ginny are somewhat daunting to write, especially here, as there is definitely a breadth of how the characters are seen and act. I'm very glad you think they are nice people, because that is how I see them. Thanks again for a very nice review, and thank you for the read. Jeff

What a wonderful story, you have captured the personalities so well.

Author's Response: Thank you very much for the read & review. I usually don't write Harry and Ginny, so I'm glad you felt I got it right. Thanks again.

Ah! The perfect bedtime story! I needed some fluff and this story delivered it in spades. If Harry had to be assigned duty on Christmas, I'm glad it was at the orphanage. His presence really must have made some of the children's day and I'm sure Harry enjoyed the assignment just as much as they did.

I had to laugh at how quickly the impromptu party at Grimmauld Place materialized. That Ron was on Harry's side when it came to the proposal, made me realize just what a good friend Ron is to Harry. I'm glad Ron has decided to join the Aurors; it's a good sign that George is recovering from losing Fred.

I've always loved Molly and you write her very well. I had to laugh at her insisting on teaching Harry all the household cleaning spells on Boxing Day morning. Poor Kreacher just can't get away from her, can he?

Well, I'm off to bed, happy and ready for dreams of the Weasley-Potter wedding to be...

Author's Response: Thank you very much for the great review, Arnel. I'm glad that my "bit of fluff" hit the spot. You are right, if Harry did have to work on Christmas it was the perfect assignment, and you are also correct that he probably made some children's Christmas to show up and play games with them. I think you'll see the orphanage fit in later on in other stories. As for the impromptu party, I don't think Harry realized how many good friends he really has, and their attendance was proof of that. George has his moments of sadness and loss, but if there's one thing he's good at is a party. As for Ron, I've always had a problem with the stories that have him freaking out about Harry and Ginny after the war; Ron is Harry's best friend, and even if the topic is his only sister I have always thought that Harry would talk to Ron first. Aside from a bit of freaking out at Gringott's Ron is clearly on Harry’s side. To be honest Molly is one of my favorite characters in Harry Potter and is so much fun to write. Since she couldn’t very well make Harry de-gnome the garden she decided to treat him as one of her own (not that she hasn’t been doing that for years.) And yes, poor Kreacher…I have a feeling he’ll be quite ok, even if he does have some hurt feelings. Your last line just made me realize something; I’ve set this up for a wedding story, haven’t I? Oh my, what have I started? Thank you again for your wonderful review. Jeff

What a delightful story. I hope this is not a one shot. I would love to read more... especially, the orphanage.

Author's Response: Thank you for the kind comments. Unfortunately, I believe it is a one-shot. As for the orphanage, I have a feeling it will crop up again some time. I've referenced it somewhat in some stories that don't fit on SIYE, but I think it will make a return eventually. Thanks again for the read and review!

Great story! Well written, sweet, very well characterized. Loved the bit at the end, that now Grimmaud Place finally felt like his - theirs. I have enjoyed your other two stories so much I went out to to read the Professor Muggle series - great stories there too. So glad you are writing H/G stories out here - love your take on Potters/Weasleys etc after the war.

Author's Response: Thank you very much, decdraft. I appreciate your comments on the characterization, as that is one thing that, to be quite honest, I've always been nervous about when it comes to the Canon characters. Especially right after Hogwarts and/or the Battle of Hogwarts. I'm very glad you liked the ending, because I did struggle with that for a while. I needed somehow to tie everything together and now write a million other words, and I thought that would make sense for Harry. I'm glad you agree. As for the other stories, as well as the Professor Muggle series, thank you very much for searching those out. Professor Muggle was my first fan fiction story, and I like to think that I've improved since then. Thanks again for the kind review, I appreciate it very much. I hope that I've brought something a little different to the Potters/Weasleys after the war.
