Love Hermione's comment about being committed because they have booked the tent and everything. Poor Ron. Emotional depth was never one of his great strengths.

I wish my work parties were that much fun! Glad they had so much fun. Harry's present was perfect - although Ginny should have been allowed to hax Ron.

Well, that party was wild and great fun. Loved the bit of playfulness between Harry and Ginny regarding the kiss with Linda.
Ron just seems to speak before thinking.....still.
I wonder what Ginny has got Harry for Christmas.
Author's Response: You will have to continue to wonder what Ginny got Harry because I’m buggered if I can think of anything. It got me thinking about what the best ever Xmas present I ever received was and I can’t think of that either! I seem to get much better birthday presents then Christmas ones for some reason. These days I largely ignore Xmas, in fact two years ago I spent the whole day just drinking tangerine flavoured vodka and listening to black metal. Ho, ho and indeed, ho.

No I don't know why it put that review down for chapter 1. It was meant for chapter 10,it was the 9th chapter that I felt had very little H/G interaction.
I'm enjoying the story. I find Harry in your story a lot more daring and extrovert than canon Harry, but that's fun to read.
Author's Response: Didn’t think you were reviewing chapter one. Yes, Harry is more outgoing in my story than canon but remember he is older and more experienced. He has also had one fairly successful relationship (it just ended very badly). Ginny is also a bit different in this story, she avoided the whole chamber of secrets thing for starters. Basically, they’re just really good together and they bring out the fun side in each other’s personalities, even if Harry needs a bit more work than Ginny. There’s no hidden agenda in this story, I just wanted our favourite couple to have a bit of fun.

Author's Response: I think I’m going to follow a JKR tradition of only mentioning what a few people got for crimbo. This will save me thinking up a suitable present for Harry. If pushed I’m going to suggest Ginny got him a box set of ‘On the buses’ videos and a large jar of Quality Street (mmmm, green triangles!).

Why did Hermione scream at Ron for making a perfectly reasonable assumption? Particularly without explaining what actually happened first?
I'm a little worried that this coupled with the "all of the Harpies wanting to kiss harry," thing that made no sense is leading to a "Perfect Harry and Perfect Ginny" showing the rest of the miserable world how superior they are fic.
Author's Response: Huzzar! 107 reviews and my first really bad one. I kind of see what you mean by your first point but as you will note from chapter 8 (you did read the previous chapters didn’t you? Just trying to review after reading one chapter towards the end of the story would just be silly) Ron rather jumps at the chance to have a go at Harry. Also note that rather than simply allowing Ginny to explain why she was crying, he interrupts her and starts making threats. Not exactly nice behaviour and I feel it justifies Hermione’s reaction. I’m afraid I don’t understand your second point at all. ‘Leading up to a perfect Harry and perfect Ginny showing the miserable world how superior they are’? Bit handbags at dawn, isn’t it, mate? I would have thought that my previous chapters would have shown that my versions of H & G are a long way from being perfect, but are you seriously suggesting I shouldn’t be heading towards a happy ending for the pair? Or that people on this site wouldn’t want to see that? Or are you just a Ron fan who gets upset when his favourite character gets cast in a poor light? Are you really on the right website?

Author's Response: Casey Jones? He had something to do with trains, didn’t he? Sorry, can’t say I’ve ever watched that show. I only know the train bit because it’s mention in an AC/DC song (‘what’s next to the moon’ from the ‘Powerage’ album). Have you noticed it’s only us Brits who are admitting to drunken nights out and sex in loos? Come on America, where’s your tales of debauchery?

Well that was fun. Glad to see that they can still surprise each other with their antics. Harry snogging Linda and Ginny dragging Harry into the loo. I like all the little surprises you put in your chapters and even when they talk serious like their schedules and trying to make time together, they can still be playful and fun while doing it. Will Ginny meet Teddy and Andromeda anytime soon? It will be fun to watch Teddy and Ginny interact. those two will cause loads of anarchy. Hope to read more soon!
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed it. I figured that any Christmas bash the Harpies threw would get a bit wild. Harry and Ginny obviously thought they should get into the spirit of things as well. We definitely get to meet Andromeda in the next chapter.

Apart from it being a xmas Quidditch party , This is earily similar to a few drunken nights out my
Husband and I had in our younger days before 3 children arrived on the scene .
Oh to be young and a size 10 again ( just like to add for my own vanity,that I'm not that much bigger
but as my Husband says a little more to cuddle.)
Right now I've reminisced to the review. Loved the party ,laughed at Harry snogging Linda. Really laughed out loud
at Harry's description of muggle dancing. I think that is the stratergy of most British men ( well all the ones I know anyway)
Poor Harry having to work on Christmas day ! I can imagine Molly having that reaction to Ginny opening
the wine. Though Harry has made it up to her with the gift and I hope he tells her soon that he Loves her.
Really looking forward to that bit actually.

Author's Response: Dancing and I have always had a strange relationship. As a rock fan I normally avoid it (unless you count bouncing up and down dancing). For too many years when presented with the requirement to hit the dance floor I maintained a strict ‘I don’t dance’ stance, or occasionally claimed I had a wooden leg. These day I realise I should just relax, knock back a few Jack Daniels and get on with it.
Poor Harry will be wrestling with his feelings in the next chapter (and approaching things all backwards as usual) and Ginny will be having an interesting conversation that she wasn’t expecting.
I just knew from your posts that you would be a TISWAS fan as well. How can you go wrong with a show that features The Phantom Flan Flinger? This is what they want!
