Oh, ice packs are very handy, especially when you are not able to perfom the Cooling Charm, lol.
It is always said, that Harry cannot handle girls well. With Ginny is fortunately different, as he almost always does everything right (OK, not in canon). It is proved in the way how easily they work together, not pity but help each other. The two are just meant to be together.
There are so many small details in the story, it's really fun to read. It was somewhat surprising that Sirius has books about Horcruxes, but on the other hand is also no surprise, right?
I only hope that Harry does not get blamed for the story with the Knight Bus. We will see...

Author's Response: Thanks! I love the getting to know each other better stage. I figured that in a dark family like the Blacks, they would have some books that mentioned Horcruxes.

I admit I am disappointed in the reason that Harry and Ginny was expelled, I thought it be for some other reason. I never once thought it be for speaking Parseltongue, I have hard time believing their a rule towards it since not many can do. Far as I know only Harry and Voldemort in the last 100 years
It seem that Percy has cross an line, some of his action can never be forgiven
It seem to me that Dolores Umbridge got off easy, I would like to seen her answer for her actions
Author's Response: Umbridge was looking for an excuse to expel Harry. The excuse she officially used was that he was practicing Dark Arts even though it isn't technically a Dark Art, but she was reaching. Percy is not a character I like.

I'm really enjoying this new take on "The Order of the Phoenix". I always love when Harry and Ginny get together sooner rather than later. Great job! I can't wait to read more.

Excellent new story and like a previous reviewer, I also liked the fact that you had George teach Harry how to shave. That's exactly the kind of thing I could imagine them doing. Lovely feeling of true friendship with all the Gryffindors. Canit wait for chapter three

I have to get one point out of the way first. You have Harry and Ginny spending the night together twice in one chapter! He hasn't even asked her to be his girlfriend yet so you're certainly rushing things. Just wait until Molly finds out how you've been writing about her daughter! You're turning Ginny into a "scarlet woman". If Molly finds out, you are soooooo dead. Allright, I got that out of my system and I'll try to be a little more serious for the rest of my review.
As much as I loved the Harry/Ginny moments, there was one other that really struck me: George teaching Harry to shave and passing on Charlie's letter to Harry as if he was just another brother. Fred and George are usually confined to their roles as pranksters in fanfics even though they tended to be more serious and helpful with Harry than they were with others outside their family. That was a very nice touch.
There were other moments I really liked: Harry teasing Ginny about dodging; Hermione and Ginny talking about what was happening between Harry and Ginny; Bill/Sirius/Remus figuring out about the Horcruxes; Harry talking to Hedwig about Ginny; Harry and Ginny working together so well when Umbridge caught them; Flitwick and the Gryffindors hiding things that shouldn't be found by Umbridge and Umbridge finding out that Harry had been telling the truth when it was too late.
In canon, Voldemort discovered Harry's connection when he witnessed the attack on Arthur. That makes me wonder if he wanted Harry to see what happened to Umbridge. I was thinking they would just take the knight bus the next morning but you took care of that option already. From one of the other reviewers I saw that Harry will be blamed for something and that Dumbledore will believe it. There are two things that might be blamed on him - the attack on the knight bus and killing Umbridge. If he's blamed for all of that and Dumbledore believes it then shame on him. After how Ginny fought Voldemort off at 11, he should have more faith in Harry at 15.

Molly would be horrified, but hey what she doesn't know won't hurt her :) I've always thought Fred and George thought of Harry as another little brother - the shaving scene is one of my favs as well. I really liked building the relationship between Harry and Ginny and I can just imagine Harry spilling his guts to Hedwig, can't you? I thought Umbridge should realize the errors of her ways even if it didn't do her any good.
I'm going with the theory that when Voldemort is really mad or really happy he isn't as careful he might be in shielding his mind. It never made a whole lot of sense to me that Dumbledore would not speak to Harry for a whole year so Voldemort wouldn't discover he was fond of Harry. So because of that, I'm thinking Dumbledore might be concerned about the security of Headquarters and really anyplace Harry might visit. Maybe its not right, but it does kind of flow.

I just had a thought and I hope I do not jinx this. But one of the main themes of your fanfics is that Ginny being with Harry seems to make life better for him. In Remember, he found happiness, In Unintended Consequences he got the Horcurxes alot quicker and there was not as much loss of life in the final battle, and here he is coping with all that is going on alot better with Ginny around. Something tells me that if/when Harry gets the vision about the DOM, Ginny will convince him not to go, thus, saving Sirius. It just proves how much a great influence she is on him. I hope I did not spoil anything yet to come!
