Title: Chapter 13 – A Present from the Poison-Hearted
Awesome scene with Harry and Albus at the lake. So, what has happened to Ginny?
Author's Response: She's coming soon, I promise!

Title: Chapter 13 – A Present from the Poison-Hearted
I can see Tonks being overconfident and underestimating him. Strange encounter with the Weasleys. Looking forward to learning more. I enjoyed his face-off with Snape and the way he learned from his previous mistakes and found his purpose. Nicely done. Kreacher deserved to destroy - or at least deserved a chance to destroy it. Great chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you. The odd meeting with the Weasleys will be a bit more understandable later in the story – rather a lot’s happened to the family and little of it good. I couldn’t let Harry chop Snape’s head off (no matter how much I was tempted), I have plans for Severus and need him alive.

Title: Chapter 13 – A Present from the Poison-Hearted
Fabulous chapter.
Loved that Harry let Kracher destroy the horcrux. It was fitting for him. He will, hopefully, be on Harry's side now.
Can't wait to find out what Harry's animagus form is. Could be quite interesting.
Loved the way he wiped the floor with Tonks and Remus. I laughed when Sirius taught him a lesson about being sneaky and not overconfident.
Looking forward to the next one.
Author's Response: There have been a few stories where Harry gains Kreacher’s trust by letting him destroy the Horcrux (probably too many to mention) but with Harry already having such a good relationship with his Elves, it made sense that he would try to get Kreacher on side. The Animagus thing…hmm…notice I haven’t gone into great detail about Harry’s training in this. It takes too long to write and has been done really well elsewhere (Taking Control by fake a smile is one of my favourites). I won’t say too much on that front but rest assured the ability come’s in useful at least once in the story. I must admit, I really enjoyed writing Sirius. He wasn’t in my previous two stories and won’t be in the one after this either, but he will probably be in the one after that. Yes, I really do plan that far ahead!

Yay for fiendfyre! This chapter was excellent all around.
Author's Response: But this chapter wasn’t round; it was more sort of rectangular! (Sorry, that was terrible, sorry…)

I love your story. But I"m interested in finding out how Ron, Hermione and Ginny are. Also, what ever happened to Hedwig and Dobby.
Author's Response: You’ll be finding out about Ron, Hermione and (especially) Ginny in about four or five chapters time. Dobby has been sacked and replaced by the more stable workforce of Bolly and Misty. Frankly, I forgot all about Hedwig until I’d nearly finished writing the story and was too lazy to go back and put her in. Apologises to owl fans everywhere.

Brilliant chapter! I liked seeing Sirius and Harry getting well along together and the first encounter between Harry and Snape. I'm glad that the hunt isn't going too smoothly. Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Thank you. Sadly, I think the war is going to be catching up with our hero’s shortly. The next chapter’s nearly ready to be posted and it’s a bit grim.

Sometimes you just need to be lucky in order to get what needs to be done....kutgw
Author's Response: I don’t think any of the characters in my story are going to be too lucky, I’m afraid. I’m being a right meany in this one.

Title: Chapter 13 – A Present from the Poison-Hearted
There were so many things I liked about this chapter. Way to go, Sirius being able to use the power of observation and point out a potential weakness for Harry, don't be predictable. That was just everso slightly reminiscent of Remus warning Harry not to use Expelliarmus so much. Loved that Harry allowed Kreacher to destroy the Horcrux and that hopefully, Kreacher is now on his side and won't resort to treachery. I really enjoyed the scene between Harry and Snape and want more. I can't wait to see what you do with that relationship, and if it will turn out differently as well. Lastly, the Weasleys - they acted supremely odd, even more.so than I would have imagined knowing that Ginny's memory has been altered. It caused me to wonder if perhaps Dumbledore did something to them without their knowledge. I suppose I will have to wait an see.
Author's Response: Yup, you will have to wait and see! But I will say that Dumbledore hasn’t done anything untoward to the Weasleys other than Ginny’s memory block. He simply doesn’t need to – the Weasleys are paid up members of the cult of Dumbledore. I don’t think that Arthur and Molly ever thought they would see Harry again; he was in hiding and he didn’t go to Hogwarts, so they had no reason to. Having him suddenly appear and asking about their daughter when they know full well that she has had her memories of him blocked was definitely uncomfortable for them. That’s the price of always doing what Albus tells them to. Still, the full story of exactly what the Weasleys have been up to will be told in (not too much) later chapters.

Another great chapter. I'm interested to see how any more interactions with the Weasleys go - that was rather tense. I guess they're a little guilty and embarrassed especially with Ginny not remembering and all.
Author's Response: I will be giving the full back story of the Weasleys in later chapters. In fact from chapter 18 I’ll go back and follow what happened to Ginny before and after the chamber. All will be revealed!

Another great chapter. Still waiting on Ginny to show up. Form the way the Weasley's reacted to Harry something seems to be going on there. Can't wait for more.
Thanks for sharing.
Author's Response: Ginny will reappear in chapter 18 – in fact she’ll have a number of chapters all to herself. I’ll be explaining what happened to the Weasleys and how Arthur lost his job. I know the way I’m doing this is a bit weird but that’s what I do best :-)

Well, now I'm all wondering about the Weasleys. After all, we've had quite the dearth of Ginny-ness.
Author's Response: Once we get to chapter 18 you’ll have all the Ginny-ness you can handle!

It still would have been nice to see Harry take Snape's head off, but maybe I'm just a little blood thirsty :) I like how he's pushing Dumbledore to include him. The relationship between Harry and Sirius is growing really nicely. I love how Sirius defeated him. Getting Kreacher on their side was great! I had Kreacher destroy a Horcrux in one of my stories, it only makes sense that he gets to do that. Like the Fiendfyre - well done :) The Weasleys are feeling a bit guilty are they? Well they should be - agreeing to obliviate their daughter.
Author's Response: The whole of SIYE is blood-thirsty! Here was me thinking it was a nice little Harry/Ginny site full of love and romance and I’m just being encouraged to write about people getting their heads cut off! ;-) Actually, I think the last chapter of the story should satisfy everyone’s blood-lust; I got a bit carried away and killed off a few extra characters that survive in canon. Whoops. I think the Weasleys were definitely feeling a bit uncomfortable. I imagine that they thought they would never see Harry again; after all, he didn’t go to Hogwarts and was being hidden away. I’d like to try and build up some suspense as to whether Harry and Ginny will meet again, but let’s face it, unless I want to get kicked off the site for breaking submission rules it’s going to happen. But to build up the tension I won’t say what chapter it happens in!

Another interesting chapter. Snape's response was very credible--as was Dumbledore's actions. I will be interested to see how things develop with him. The Weasleys response was interesting also. I look forward to learning more about that also. Thanks again.
Author's Response: As much as I’ve played around with Dumbledore’s character, I’ve tried to keep Snape fairly ‘in canon’. Of course, as he was an evil git in books he fits in here perfectly well without too much modification.

yeah, I see your reasoning for Harry's reaction to Slughorn now
glad you're keeping Snape around for a while as I always think he makes things interesting in fics if he written the right way
love Sirius again :)
Author's Response: That’s why when everybody was assuring me in reviews that Harry’s handing of Slughorn was fine I was thinking ‘bugger’! I think every good HP needs a good dollop of Harry/Severus conflict. Having not been able to use Snape in my previous stories, due to the extremely plausible reason that he was dead, I enjoyed writing the man’s twisted bitterness! It was fun.

Title: Chapter 13 – A Present from the Poison-Hearted
Another good chapter! I was glad to see Harry didn't walk over everyone in their little dueling challenge. I loved that Sirius was able to show Harry something there so Harry does not come across as perfect. Your alternate take on the visit to the cavern was quite well done and exciting, too. The conversation with the Weasley's reminds me of what they did to Ginny after the Chamber. I'll be looking forward to seeing what comes of that when Harry and Ginny invariable meet.
Author's Response: With all that pranking experience Sirius just had to be a bit sneaky. I kind of thought that was one area that Harry’s training had lacked up to that point. The cavern scene was fun for me because I just liked the idea of them going through all that and finding the Horcrux was a fake. Snigger. Ain’t I a stinker?
