It is good to see Harry, Remus, and Sirius working so effectively with Albus. Hopefully, they will learn something useful from Bellatrix.

Author's Response: Make the most of it, that cooperation doesn't last long.

Ah, now I'm beginning to see, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to forgive you yet. This should be interesting. can't wait to find out what happens.

Author's Response: Err…you might want to avoid chapter 17 when it comes up. If I’m only just getting your forgiveness now that one what put me back to square one!

wow, such a powerful chapter
I'm glad Harry didn't kill Bellatrix when he had the chance - it would have made him as bad as any DE

Author's Response: Harry’s definitely been having a few moral dilemmas in this story. He’s been trained as a warrior but clearly is uncomfortable with the role. I think the best way to sum it up is that he knows he has a job to do and wants to get on with it and get it done as soon as possible. That will allow him a pretty wide interpretation of what is moral and what is not, but no more than any solider in a war faces. Wow, that was an unusually sensible response from me!

Wow. You sure do deliver a great story.

I suspect Harry's idea of questioning Bella is going to be interesting. He realizes what she tried to do at the warehouse and will probably turn the tables on her. It was amusing to read about how Remus and Sirius were weighing the pros and cons of loading her up with Veritaserum.

I have enjoyed this story so far and I expect it's just going to get better. I will not mention the name of the red-headed female that Harry is going to be crazy about, but I suspect we're in for a bumpy ride.

I get the feeling that some members of her family have not treated her as well as they should have considering Arthur lost his job due to her involvement with the diary incident. Percy and possibly Ron might hold it against her. I can just imagine her reaction when she finds out that her parents were party to her memories being altered. Not a good thing. On a better note, she's been using those magical muscles. She has basically been performing wandless magic for years since her wand was exhausted. Give her a wand that still works and look out.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful story with us. I appreciate the hard word and time involved in getting it to us.

Author's Response: Oh, getting dangerously close to mentioning Ginny there! From now on she will be known as she-who-cannot-be-named! Aside from that I’m not going to say a lot more about your review (other than to thank you for taking the time to write it). Quite simply there are far too many good guesses going on in it for me to be entirely comfortable. Nothing more to see here. Move along.

Great fight scene. Absolutely loved it. The fact that Harry could summon Gryffindor's sword was a great fact to include. I actually thought he would have been a goner if he wasn't necessary for your story. (No good to kill off the hero so soon, if at all!)
I enjoyed the part with the policemen. He took it very casually and they didn't really like being told so.
More, please.

Author's Response: I suppose it would be an interesting plot twist if I killed Harry off in the middle of the story. I could then have him mysteriously step out of the shower one morning as if nothing happened just like in ‘Dallas’ (I’m really ageing myself with that, aren’t I?). And can I just say – Hooray! A review where no one asks me where Ginny is!

Oh, I expect that Harry's approach in questioning Bella will be borderline naughty. That seems like the kind of thing that would appeal to her.

Still no Ginny. Looking forward to that meeting, too.

Nicely written fight scene. None of the cops decided to peek, or wander off while it was happening?

Author's Response: I’m saying nothing. I’ll hopefully be posting the next chapter for validation later today and you’ll see for yourself. It’s a pretty good guess though. Ginny…stop mentioning Ginny!! She’s coming!!! Chapter 18 and you’ll have all the Ginnyness you can handle! Aaaggghhh!!! (Author pauses to have a stiff drink). I swear, this is the last story I ever write where I keep Harry and Ginny apart for so long. I’m sure it’s only because everyone assumes that I’ll be writing some sex scenes and they want to get to the dirty bits. Perverts, the lot of you!

Great chapter! I wonder about other Weasleys, like Bill for example. Is he not a member of the Order, or did he not come to the headquarters yet? So far we have seen most of the other canon order members but not Bill or Charlie. I guess we will see them when you introduce Ginny back, but i would have thought that Bill would be very usefull as curse breaker?

Author's Response: Bill will be indeed making an appearance later in the story. Some Weasleys will feature more than others (for instance there isn’t a lot of the twins in this story and Charlie only gets one line) but Bill is in it more than most. It’s difficult fitting in all the canon elements into one story and there are just too many Weasleys to squeeze all the buggers in!

Great chapter again! You reaaly grasped Bella's wickedness. I hope that Harry will learn from Remus and Tonks' '' affair ''! Thanks for sharing!

Author's Response: I really like Bellatrix. In fact, I think I have a thing for evil women. I’m sure Mrs Brennus would agree with that.

Whips and chains!! She would love it. Great chapter.

Thanks for sharing.

Author's Response: I’m sorry, Zeta. But I don’t think whatever you get up to in your private life should be dragged into these reviews! ;-)

Interesting turn of events. I hope Harry learns something from Remus and Tonks for whenever he becomes entangled with Ginny again.

Author's Response: Ah-ha! That was one of my primary reasons for polishing off poor Nymphadora. I tend to think that in times of danger where loved ones could be snatched away at any moment you should try and make the most of your time with those people. Certainly my reading about WW2 suggests many people thought the same, with spur of the moment engagements, hasty marriages and passionate affairs being common place. My parents were of that generation and they both married their first partners while the fighting was still going on. I know it would be a bit different for Harry, being Voldiepoo’s primary target, but all his friends were all high up the DE’s ‘must eliminate’ list as well. Put it this way, this Harry won’t be so noble as to push people away to protect them. You did note that ‘intimate sexual situation’ was included in the warnings, didn’t you?

This is a great story. Well plotted lots of action. Very well characterized. I like this take charge no nonsense Harry. Was sad to lose Tonks so soon in the story, but understand it for plot purposes. Looking forward to Ginny showing up, thinking there is going to conflict between her and her and parents. And I really appreciate the quick updates. Nothing stalls momentum like having to go back to previous chapters to catch up because it is so long between updates.

Author's Response: Thank you for your comments. I thought I’d better actually write a story with a plot otherwise people would only think I wrote dodgy comedies full of knob jokes. I’m not going to say too much about Ginny’s relationship with her family but it will vary greatly from family member to family member. The quick up-dates are down to my wonderful beta Tom (aka MinistryMalcontent – you should try reading his stuff if you haven’t already) and the Archivists who have really picked up a head of speed in validating stories over recent months. I know some people moan about the time it takes to validate chapters on this site but I will never be one of those. These guys give up their time and effort to enable writers to tell their stories and I think they do a wonderful job. Cheers SIYE!

I must admit, i went and read reviews first, and my got it was funny! I loved your replies , especially one about nobility! Ok, i am off to read the story:))

Good fight scene.

But I'm still wondering what Ginny's up to. . .

Author's Response: Sigh. Am I detecting a theme for the reviews in this chapter? What I can’t understand is why everyone is choosing chapter 15 to start bemoaning the lack of Ginny time when we’re only a couple of chapters away from her reintroduction into the story. I blame it on all those soul-bonding stories we had a while back. People think Harry will spontaneously combust if he’s away from Ginny too long. ;-)

Does Harry's thoughts on Remus and Tonks mean he won't up and leave Ginny down the track? Good chapter

Author's Response: Ah, indeed. That scene was pretty much written with that in mind. The whole pushing Ginny away to protect her thing in canon was a bit stupid really (Death Eaters: Damn, if Potter was still going out with Weasley we could have used her to capture him, but they broke up! Curses! Foiled again!). I’m not good at writing nobility – it makes my teeth ache for some reason.

18?? Ginny comes in in the 18th chapter!? :(

Author's Response: She features in nearly half the story! And we’ve only got a couple more chapters to go!! Next time I’m writing a story where a one year old Harry is waiting around St Mungo’s for Molly Weasley to give birth so he can be with Ginny from the start! ;-)

Well done, I like to see a fight between Harry & Bellatrix in which there are no clear favorites. Diamond cut diamond, as it were.

Author's Response: Bellatrix always seemed the most dangerous of the DE’s to me. Actually in very few of the fights Harry gets into in this story does he come out unscathed. While I’ve written a rather powerful, well trained version of Harry this really isn’t a SuperHarry! story so he will be taking a bit of a beating now and then.

A fantastic fight scene this Update! While I'm still rather sad about what happened to Tonks last chapter there was some satisfaction that Beletrix was defeated and captured. I'll be looking forward to seeing how Harry approaches her and what he finds out.

Author's Response: I’ve got the feeling that a few people are going to be unhappy with me after they read Harry’s interrogation of Bella. Still, I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. Between killing off Tonks and the lack of Ginny action I’m amazed I’m still getting such high marks!

Well now at lease Remus had a shot at Bella before all hell broke lose....as for Harry and bella's duel well that was cool...lah but only a true griffendor can pull the sword....kutgw

Author's Response: Poor Remus; all he wanted to do was tear Bella to little bits. Life’s so unfair!
