Oh, the eponymous heart of the hero was a gift to Caractacus? I am curious to see what it's all about that Muggle artefact.
The Potter curse and its modification is quite intriguing. However, I'm curious about the effects of the curse on this story and Harry's future tasks. I hope that we will see..
I liked the way you described how the ancient Potters lived with the fairies.

My thoughts regarding with whom Harry should share the memories have been treated completely in the first review of this chapter. However Potterfan2008 has described it much better than I could ever have done it... and I'm also satisfied with your answers.
Many thanks for another great chapter!

Author's Response: I re-read the review and response that you mentioned. You will find out more about the role of the Heart of the Hero. It may not be the first role you imagine.
Thank you for the reading and the review.

So... When are you going to explain what Pompfrey and Ginny discussed??

Author's Response: I am not actually sure... sorry to be so vague, but when I write, planned content has a way of changing around to meet the needs of the chapter. As an example, according to my chapter notes, the Hogwarts letters were originally supposed to show up two chapters from now. I suspect it will come up again near Christmas in the story time-line - which is actually quite a ways away. Or it may come up again sooner if the girls get a quite moment alone while returning to or just after arrival back at Hogwarts. All I can tell you for sure is that I do plan to revisit or at least recount that conversation. All I can do is ask that you are patient and try to enjoy everything else that is going on in the story until that particular thing comes back up. Thank you for your comments! Happy reading.

I like your take on Salazar's parentage! :-)

Author's Response: Thank you.. I simply wanted to draw more parallels between Slytherin and Voldemort. I do hope you continue to read and review.
Thanks again.

Thank you so much for the update! I am truly enjoying your story and can't wait for your next chapter! I suspect that Harry must defeat or kill the Heir of Slytherin to break the curse so he and Mistress Ginny can have more than one child. And it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Hermione and Ron will not be allowed into the Pensieve for the Potter memories!!!

Author's Response: You are of course very welcome, though It is I who should be saying thank you for your time to read and review!

It is probably a bit more complicated than that, though perhaps only slightly. I am curious why you would like to see Ron and Hermione denied access to the memories? Why should Harry not wish to share them?

You are not the first to express this sort of sentiment, and regardless of what my plan may be, I am curious about this line of thinking? Ron and Hermione are Harry's best friends, and his relationship with Ginny has not changed that. So what would motivate Harry to keep these memories private from them?

As always, thank you so much for the read and the comments!

If you had sent it to me again I wouldn't have found anything to correct. Top marks!

Author's Response: Thanks! The next one is underway, hoping to get more writing time.

Not much action as much as world building here, which isn't a bad thing. Interesting to see where the Potter name came from and that the Potters have been part of Hogwarts (probably literally in some cases) since it's inception. I did like the fight between Salazar and Caractacus. Enchanted Battleaxe for the WIN! Also loved that in the beginning, it was a Potter and a Weasley. And Hermione is going to have a FIELD DAY with those memories. One question though. I know this is an AU, but in Canon Harry and Ginny had three kids. Obviously as things stand that is out of the question, unless defeating Voldie somehow destroys the curse? Hmm?

Til next time, CHEERS!

Author's Response: All I can say is... wait for it.

Thanks so much for the read and the comments!

I really like how this story is developing. Always love it when Harry and Ginny are close and she becomes his confidant. Really enjoying the history of the Potter family. Good work :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much. Ginny is defiantly becoming Harry's close confidant in this story. In fact, it may well become a bit of an issue for Ron and Hermione, (especially Herminone) who are used to having Harry's ear. They'll just have to work through it all though, and they will.
I am glad you are enjoying the history.

I definitely appreciate you're taking the time to read and comment, Thanks again!

I have enjoyed reading this chapter.

Harry's history is interesting. He has some interesting characters in his ancestry. Harry doesn't seem to be the only one in his family to treat and respect other beings the way he does. The fact that his history is entwined with the founders, is interesting also.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you!

I am very pleased that folks seem to be enjoying the history I am creating for this fanfic. I am also pleased that certain parallels are noticeable, such as Harry's ancestors projecting a profound respect for all creatures. You will find that all of the history will be true to certain notions of how to live in harmony with their magical nature.

And you will see that the Potters have been deeply involved in not only the history of Hogwarts, but in attempting the shape governance of the magical world as well. Some of this may ultimately run contrary to canon, but it is explained by the Charms that Harry's Grandparent's used to conceal their family for so long. (But I don't want to get ahead of my written chapters here.)

Thank you again, for taking the time to read and comment, I will try to get the next chapter out faster than the last couple. And, as always I will look forward to your comments.

I loved the memories and the Curse of the Potters seems well thought out. I like how they brought in the faries and respect for other creatures. Your version of the history of the Potters and the Founders is very interesting and very well told. I like how you incorporated all of the founders and their own strengths and weaknesses. I loved the whole chapter - until the end.
Hermione says Harry should look at the memories alone, but then thinks she should be able to see them - right away. Why? I realize they are best friends and all, but don't Harry and Ginny get any privacy? They should be able to decide if they want to share the memories. It was very sweet that just Harry and Ginny got to see the memories and work through his family history. The rest have their own families and their own histories, why does Harry's have to be public property?

Author's Response: Thank you for the reading and the review!

You make a good point about the memories and the fact that Ron and Hermione both want to see them. I think Ron's interest mostly comes from the mention that there is Weasley history in these memories too. Ron is the first to ask, and Harry agrees readily. If there were something there that Harry felt was too personal, or something he really needed to work through, he would have no problem telling the others that he isn't ready for them to see the memories. It was his Grandfather's instructions that suggested that Harry should look at the memories alone, and Harry has already gone against that instruction by including Ginny.

Hermione's interest was piqued mostly by the mention of the founders appearance in the memories and motivated mostly by curiosity. Again though, if Harry didn't want her to see the memories, he would have no problem saying so, and I think Hermione would readily understand.

Harry is used to sharing everything with Ron and Hermione anyway, and so far there was nothing in the memories he considers to personal to share. However, I understand the point you are making, Harry's life is not public property, even if he is essentially a celebrity in the Wizard world. Please don;t worry about it too much. I had no plans of any venturing in to the memories all four of them at once, It will be Harry and Ginny, and then Ron and Hermione later if Harry feels the memories are something worth sharing. Plus there will be a twist coming later in the story that will concern Hermione, and such records as these memories.

Thanks again for the reading and the reviewing!
