Good to know, that most of Harry's class mates are OK with the revelation of his little furry secret. This will certainly do him very well. However, it is very strange that the offender has still not been discovered.
I hope the victory for Gryffindor will comfort Ginny something over the fact that she has not caught the Snitch.

Author's Response: There's a reason the offender hasn't been discovered yet.

Poor Ginny.

Author's Response: Yeah, I know.

Ha, I love this story:) Its so well written and the story line flows so good! I love Barry and Ginny's relationship so far, though I have to admit I was a little disappointed when Ron was a complete and utter git. Because for me, Ron and Harry's friendship comes across as really important and very strong. I hope Ron, as he's starting to clean up his act, develops that sort of bond if not something close. Kutgw! I LOVE IT:)

Author's Response: I don't know if they'll ever be as close as they were in canon but Ron is coming along so we'll have to wait and see.

This is one of my favorite stories right now. I'm so drawn in to your characters, especially Harry, Ginny, and Neville. I am really enjoying the way your story is developing.

Author's Response: Thank you. That's great to hear.

Wonderful chapter.
The letter was really touching. It has helped to bring forward how emotional Harry really is (but in a good way).
I'm glad you let Ginny lose the snitch. Cho has had a lot more experience than her, but that will change.
So Harry's secret is out to the Gryffindors. It sounds as though they understand about loyality and what it means to protect each other.
I felt you left the chapter at an interesting point. It has left me wanting the next chapter to read, now. But, like most things, good things come to those who wait.
Eagerly awaiting the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you. I was worried a little about the letter and how it would be received but apparently I needn't have. I also had worried someone would complain about the many times Harry has cried in this fic and he does a lot but I figure he's also only thirteen, caught between being a kid and a young man. I thought Ginny needed to lose that game. She was less experienced but as you said that will change. It seemed too cliche to let Ginny win. Yes, his secret is partially out and, to Harry's surprise, they support him--at least most do. Hope to have the next one out soon.

I always get so excited when a new chapter for this story comes up. Now that the Christmas Hols are over, I will confirm that, yes, I still love your characterizations of the Weasleys. Nothing changed after my initial observation and your warning. The balance between concern for safety and welcoming of Harry was excellent. I'm sure that issue will rise again at various points, but the Weasley character is solid and well-represented in your story. I also love how you are slowly bringing Ron around, and Bill and Charlie's attitudes towards their sister's young romance is spot on. Perfectly done!

In fact, all of your characterizations are very well-done. No one is portrayed in one-dimensional, black-and-white terms (a trap even very good authors fall into occasionally). You never define a character by a single issue or trait; everyone is fleshed-out, well-rounded. Your Dumbledore is a bit manipulative, but not evil. Your Molly is overprotective, but not controlling. Your Ron is immature, but not stupid. They all seem like real people with both good and bad in them (as Movie!Sirius said).

I am especially loving the Harry/Ginny romance in this story. Most authors portraying this time period are either unrealistic in how advanced a romance at this age can be or they become puritanical in their censoring what the characters feel/do. You've avoided either pitfall. Your Harry and Ginny are mature for their ages because of all they've been through, but they are still 12 and 13 when it comes to their new experiences with each other. Their relationship is innocent and sweet yet very exciting as well. Even as a married adult, my heart races a little along with Harry's at the appropriate moments, remembering what it was like when all of those feelings were new. It is a very emotionally satisfying story.

One thing I don't remember -- and I haven't been able to go back and find it -- Why was Ginny playing for Harry in this quidditch match again? (I thought it was a good creative move to have her lose, too. She is rather inexperienced at this point.)

Can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Wow. Thank you so much for that. I'm glad you still like the Weasleys. I am also glad you are enjoying the H/G relationship. It's been a nice change from what I normally write. Sometimes I fear of going too far with them so glad to have not reached that yet. As for why Ginny was playing for Harry, she had tried out for the team when Harry had and was made an alternate Seeker since she didn't have a lot of experience. Harry was letting her play to get some practice in. Some were disappointed that I had her lose since she didn't in the books but I did it for the exact reason you stated: inexperience.

I'm sorry to see Harry go thought it again but now the whole house knows and for once I think that's the right move to take in this...soon the whole school will know and that's even better and will screw malfoy in his bid for glory.....kutgw

Author's Response: Yes, it won't be long before the secret is out. The question is, will it help or hinder Malfoy' s plan?

Its an interesting story but I have to say that the Weasley's completely ignoring Ron's unhappiness solely to pander to Harry is wearing this. Its like Harry is their child and Ron is the stranger.

I know I'm supposed to think its great but really I think its kind of crappy of them. I know Ron bashing is pretty popular here but even if the readers aren't supposed to like him his parents still should.

Author's Response: His parents aren't ignoring him and they still love him. If you'll recall, there was a family vote over Christmas as to whether Harry stayed. Molly and Arthur can sympathize with Harry's issues and they're caring enough to want to help however they can. Out of jealousy, Ron couldn't BUT he's also admitted he hadn't tried to be friendly to Harry and that he would wait and see before forming an opinion. Ron is now putting forth an effort; he's beginning to mature.

Another good chapter. Harry's secret is out now, but still no clue who the "attacker" is? The letter and Harry's reaction was rather touching. I was sorry to see Ginny didn't beat Cho to the Snitch, unlike the books. You have me really curious as to what happens next.

Author's Response: The "attacker" has been smart enough to cover his tracks but it will come out. Glad you liked the letter. Sometimes I worry that I have Harry crying just a little too much. Ginny losing, I thought, was a bit more realistic seeing as she hadn't had much of a chance to play (either with her brothers or on the team). Besides, her talent lay more in the Chaser department. Good to know you're anticipating the next chapter.

That was a really nice touch with the letter.
Looking forward to seeing what happens next! :)

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked that letter. I wasn't sure how it would be received since the Potters were in hiding. I just couldn't imagine them cooped in the house all the time so I did something about it. ;)

This is marvelous! Update soon, I'm dying to know what happens!

Author's Response: Hopefully I can. The next one has already been checked by my beta and is waiting for me to finish the chapter I'm currently writing (no worries, I'm almost done with it)
