Just out of curiosity Neil, one of the MIT stories, the one with the construction site, is still incomplete on your fan fiction page. Just curious if it's supposed to be incomplete or if, like the hotel episode, you were unaware.

Author's Response: MLT (the MIT "origin" story) is unfinished. Along with Molly and her Daughter, Epithalamium, and far too many other stories. I'm sorry to say that it's currently at the bottom of my "to be worked on" pile. The only things below it are "Exsanguination" (currently 14,000 unpublished words) and "the untitled next-gen Al story". Although I know where I'm going with MLT, I really want to get other stuff (like Aurors and Schoolgirls - remember that?) finished first. -N-

Interesting. I like Bobbie and hope they let her keep her memories. From some of the reviews I think she figures in some of your other stories, but I can't recall her. She did a great job with her research. How is Hermione suddenly so wealthy? I figured her parents were pretty well off, but I didn't think she'd let them buy her an expensive house or anything.

Bobbie Beadle has featured in several stories which are not on this site. Brown, Bones, and Beadle have appeared in three “MIT” (Muggle Interface Team) stories. All are set some years after the events of this story, so some readers have been greeting her like an old friend. I really hope that the story makes sense without that foreknowledge. I planned for her arrival in this tale when I wrote Colin’s funeral in Grave Days.There is a story about Hermione’s expensive flat, and it doesn’t involve her parents. One day I will tell it.

When I saw Bobbie show up a few chapters ago, I assumed she wouldn't find out about them until the end of the story; I'm excited to see her find out sooner than I expected and that this will be her first case working with the Aurors! I liked this chapter very much, well done!

Normally I prefer the direct narrative of potter characters than the muggle narrative sometimes I found in your stories but the bobbie narrative was simply amazing. it was very cool the way she sees them and the harry entering in her car scene was really superb. I think this is the best chapter in this story yet.
BTW Did the Ch.Cannons really beat the H.Harpies. :(

This story has been a very long time in the planning, and this chapter (and the next, have been sort-of-written for a long time.The Harpies were playing Ballycastle Bats, the Cannons were playing Caerphilly Catapults.

Such a great chapter! Also a lot of fun seeing the origin story of the muggle auror. Though I am curious of the fact that Bobbie wasn't seen at the Potters housewarming party in strangers. I imagine she would have been helpful with the muggle interactions at the party.

will bobbie be obliviated or will harry wisely make an ally of her so that in the future, he will have connectrions to Muggle investigations without great difficulty. it will be a coup to actually have someone to liaise with,, don't you htink?

I suspect that the next update of this story won’t be until early August, but I’m working on a one-shot, and on updating some of my other stories, too. Having said that, the one closest to completion isn’t a Harry/Ginny story so my next update may not be here.Bobbie will be around for a long time.

Great chapter.
Harry seems very impressed with the investigation that Bobbie has followed. After all, it did I lead her to them.
I wonder if Harry has a reason for letting her in on their secrets?? I bet, he has enjoyed her tenacity and skills to follow and chase what she is after. I think he believes she could be an asset to future investigations.
Looking forward to the next chapter.

Harry made a few mistakes and he wants to correct them. The next chapter is close to completion, but I’m resting it to revisit it later. In the meanwhile, I’m working on a one shot tentatively called “Now and Forever” because it is five years(!) since I uploaded my first ever story (After Breakfast) to this site. To celebrate, I’ve just re-edited After Breakfast, but want to get a new one-shot out, too.

Smart girl, Bobbie. And now I'll be forever curious about the continuation of that conversation. I've just realised you usually change the scene completely in the following chapter and so we won't know how exactly Harry explains her what happened and to what extent, at least in this first talk. But obviously he appreciated her tenacity and expertise in muggle ways of investigation and acknowledged she can be very useful in their investigation.

You’re right, I usually do switch scenes. This time I’m not. I stopped at that point because it made a good cliffhanger, and because I try to keep my chapters below 10,000 words. You’ll find out exactly how Bobbie gets drawn into the magical world over the next couple of chapters. And after that’ it’s back to Wales.

Very interesting how Bobbie followed up on all the clues to track down the four of them. I'm wondering what Harry has in mind, though? He seems to be ready to let her in on the secret of the wizarding world, but why? Can't wait to find out more!
