Damn, I've always the wrong impression that TPC continues their last visit to the Burrow in FL, and that was around July, wasn't it. I know that it's wrong, but it's obviously too much for my thick head.

Author's Response:

That's a perfectly natural assumption given that, yes, the last scene of FL is at the Burrow, and the first scene of TPC is back there too, but there are a few intervening weeks of hard swotting (i.e., boring) which consolidates their status as Hogwarts 'graduates'. For various reasons things are a little tenser at this point, with not everyone being perfectly comfortable with Ginny's rapid evolution...

Anyway, no cause for self-deprecation. Rather, I aim to disorient even the very astute readers :)

When Ginny and Harry arrived at the Burrow, it felt as if the scene where the Ginny burnt the wooden table happened ages ago. However, it can't be much more than two months, can it? So much happened in the meantime, it's quite easy to lose track of time.
Wow, one more Horcrux down, at least I hope so, and a nice party for the Super Seven at Gringotts, what more can the readers ask for? Well done!

Author's Response:

Would you believe, two mad, action packed *weeks*? Dates are included with each chapter for the skeptical ;)

In any case, at a certain point the timeline (rather different from Rowling's standard 9-12 months / book) became a bit of an inside joke. Hence my "Epilogue: Four Days Later"

Anyway, thank you most kindly for the note!

Wow -- did you say you're nearly done? I may have to skive a little time off work to catch up with you!

Great Gringotts sequence -- I think what really made it were those snapshots of Harry's precarious owl flight, and Ginny/Remus working together. Well done!

Author's Response: Yes indeed -- nearly done! I still haven't decided if the final sequences will fit in one chapter or if I'll need to split into two, but it's coming down to the wire!

Glad that you enjoyed the first real action scene! As you've likely guessed, there's more to come in subsequent chapters.

Thanks for the review and for the continued interest Dann!

I loved the way th goblins took care of their security. Particularly because it worked. I also loved that Hermione is finally helping Ginny and Harry. Hopefully they'll be good friends again.

Author's Response: Yes, exactly! Various of our protagonists were a bit grumpy about just how the goblins chose to arrange security, but it was definitely a win-win situation in the end!

I've finished rough drafts up to chapter 19 and I can definitely say that from chapter 18 onwards Hermione's friendship with Harry and Ginny (and Ron for that matter) really starts to look much more like what one would expect from canon. However there are a few more obstacles to overcome in chapters 15-17.
Thanks for the review LunaGranger!

A little confused as to their reaction to the cup.

Author's Response: Ah yes -- they too are confused! The cup's strange state will be dealt with in the next chapter.

Thanks for the review!

Excellent chapter again well worth waiting for. Seems it is taking forever for SIYE to validate. Having some of the same problems with some other stories I follow there thought. Suppose they are busy.
Loved the fight of course.. the arrival of the HA was awesome. So much fun.
Looking forward to more!!!
Thanks
Tricia

Author's Response: Thanks Tricia! This chapter, like 'All Slytherins', was a tremendous amount of fun to write. Almost makes me wish I could get away with writing a collage of short, wacky adventures, without having to string the overarching story together. Maybe I will some day, but for the time being I'm committed to continuing to counterpoint for a while longer.

I just saw the call for new archivists -- hopefully that will help to ease the validation logjams.
