Why didn't Harry tell anyone? Sirius certainly has changed - pranks and training - anyone could do that. Hermione is...I don't even know how to describe her. At 16 she's ready to write off her parents as nice people she might visit someday in the distance future, but not really let into her world. Glad she's not my daughter.

Author's Response: I appreciate your honest feedback, though I'm a little confused about some of it. What is your exact complain about Sirius? That anyone could do for Harry what he is doing for Harry? On a practical level, you're right. On a psychological level, much more than that. And thatwill be discussed a little more in the next chapter. As for why Harry didn't tell anyone, Sirius wanted to play a prank on Fred and George--not expressly stated beyond him telling Harry to wait so he could have a little fun. Now, regarding Hermione, I'm sorry you read that portion of the chapter as you did--and that might be my fault. However, the exact wording was that she would CERTAINLY visit her parents and wanted them a part of her future family. then the "but" comes in: they are a of different worlds now, and no matter what she did or said, her parents would never understand her completely. I think this would be a real emotion experienced by most muggleborns as they reach their latter years of Hogwarts, beginning to look at their future. I particularly liked this part of the chapter, and think that Hermione would definitely think this through. She wants her parents as part of her life, but doesn't believe they can ever understand her. That resonates with normal teenagers, too...not just magical ones separated from muggle parents...
