The Burrow isn't good for Harry. Too many memories, too much and too close to Ginevra. When she told him in a moment of honesty that he didn't belong to the family it was his time to move on. Harry should move into Andromeda's. She has enough space and he would be close to Teddy. Teddy would be good for him. In time, he’ll find himself a new girlfriend. It shouldn't be hard to find someone who treats him better than young Ginevra.

I just hope the story isn't abandoned. I'm looking forward to seeing Ginevra's relationship with Ross fail. Since she's a Weasley, I assume she is already pregnant.

I am still find this to be a interesting story, I hope that Harry start to move on with his life. I would like that Harry start dating someone, since it clear at this point he lost his chance with Ginny. But I have a feeling that Harry would remain alone, it like Ginny wait a long time for Harry and now it's Harry turn to wait.

I find it odd that Ginny last thought is a child playing with a man she not with, after having sex with her boyfriend Ross. But then again she is just lying to her self, I admit I cant see Harry and Ginny ever being together. I know that this web site is about Harry & Ginny paired story's. But an few story's on this site, make me think that Harry could do better then Ginny.

I am surprised. I thought the Site Rules had the 'unwritten' There shalt be no boinking other then H/G boinking. But what surprised me were the reviews, honestly I expected scorch marks. I think I can anticipate where your going (in general) and you have created a believable scenario with out to much contrivance. However, if there were no outside influences, you could have done Ginny/Ross prior and/or outside SIYE readers view. Cast off and lets get these ships asail on your 'believable sea of angst'. I am prone to abandoning ship if the seas get to rough or predictable, but that's just me, motion sickness you know.

First, I have to say I didn't like that Ginny slept with someone besides Harry. Having said that, I do agree with you that it would be unrealistic for Ginny to wait on Harry forever and it wouldn't be much of a story if she dropped Ross at the first sign of Harry.
I have two questions.
1. Will Ginny at some point feel bad for hurting Harry?
2. Will this story be completed any time soon? I see that it has been up a year.

One more thing, I do agree with other reviewers that Harry needs to see other women before getting together with Ginny. I do not think he should do it out of spite, or to hurt Ginny because that would be highly immature. I do think he should see other women to develop his own character a little.
However, it is your story and you will do great with it, I'm sure.

After a brief re-read of a few passages, I would have to add a few Knuts. I hope that does not yet fall under harassment. Afterwards I really will leave you alone. At least for a while. Promised. :-)

It would be a completely different situation if Ginny had been closer to Ross before Harry reappeared.
But Ginny decides to become intimate with Ross shortly after she had learned about Harrys fate. She could have taken her time to reconsider her situation without ditching Ross, but she nearly immediately creates a fait accompli. Maybe she was afraid to fall for Harry again… anyway, this was a deliberate way to make her real feelings known to everyone… she immediately sends a letter to Hermione to make sure everybody will know. I do not blame her. But it was her decision and she should stick to it.

If she ever wants to come back to Harry this would require a different level of forgiveness from Harry, don’t you think? And there is still a difference between forgiving and forgetting… After all he was repelled consciously.

Which leaves the question if Ginny will ever be happy with Ross. Besides the fact that he has a steady job at the Ministry she nearly knows nothing about him, right? I still suppose that Ross was somehow involved in Snidefish's campaign. When Harry had escaped, he was worried about his position. For this very reason he made contact with Ginny to watch over the situation and, when appropriate, to take the needed steps to stay unharmed. Is he the spy that Harry had supposed the Ministry would sent out? Maybe he was involved in Robards incident, too? Btw. what is Ross’ last name? Maybe Clint? I'm not sure, but there are a few indications for this suspicion. In any case it would be strange if Ross had never appeared previously.

And no, I don't ask for spoilers! I just felt the need to write down my thoughts so I can untroubled continue to read a Soul Bond novel and forget your story for a while. ;-)

What was your prognosis...22 chapters? That means that we will get 6 more chapters. With a bit of luck we will know a bit more at Christmas... ;-)

You got quite the response to this one. I for one expected this to happen. Ginny can't be expected to drop Ross immediately. And having sex with someone after dating them for a year is understandable. kutgw

I think that was to be expected. Ginny is together with Ross for a year now and nothing serious has happened. However, as soon as Harry has resurfaced, she forced her relationship with Ross to the next step and moves on. Obviously, she has made her choice. I wouldn't be surprised if Ginny wanted to get pregnant. For Harry, it is probably easier now if he avoids The Burrow. At least for a while. He has to build up his own life.

OK, that's a Harry / Ginny story. Therefore Ginny will probably come together with Harry at the end. But I'm really not sure if that's a good idea. I'm pretty sure that Harry will forgive her eventually. However, I see no basis for a trusting relationship. There will always be doubts and Harry will feel as being the second choice. I fear that such a relationship will not last very long. However, this is probably the sequel to this story.
As strong as Harry is at certain occasions, he needs someone who can knock some sense into his skull from time to time. A man is only as strong as the woman at his side. And sorry, I do not see this Ginny as a strong person. I see a lot of uncertainty and a lack of self-confidence.

Oh, and then there's Ross. He always remains in the background. That's odd. I don't remember now, has anybody already seen him except Ginny? Obviously he seems to have other priorities than Ginny. Maybe he's a disguised Malfoy who has hexed Harry years ago and now he has hexed Ginny, lol. No, sorry, this is not funny. I suspect that the bomb explodes as soon as Ross enters the scene properly. Maybe Ginny introduces him at Harry's Birthday party as a kind of birthday surprise. However, I'm sure that Ross will decline Ginny's invitation. He prefers to stay in the background. I think if Ross would be an honest person, the author would have introduced him already.

I'll eventually come back to see how the burlesque ends.

Author's Response: I think It was to be expected too. As you've said, Ginny and Ross have been together for over a year now. As for Ginny's character lacking in confidence, she definitely is. She is very uncertain. That doesn't mean, however, that makes her a weak character. Even the strongest of people go through patches of self-doubt and uncertainty. That doesn't make them weak, it makes them human. Ross has very much remained in the background, that won't be the case for much longer. Thanks for your review, I appreciate it!

This was a rather shocking chapter, and while I am sad for Harry's pain from these events I guess my reaction isn't as angry as some. Of course, now my feelings about Ross have gone from dislike to hatred, so I'm hoping it turns out he is one of Stinkfish's accomplices and he winds up in Azkaban. ;-)

You knew you would get flamed, so bravo on your bravery. That being said the character development for Ginny is lacking. Her "anger" at Harry mixed with astonished relief of the truth, has seemingly turned her into a slut who lacks believable empathy and intuition. It doesn't make much sense given the setup of character dynamics given. I understand you have an explanation for her actions, but if that is the case, her inner monologued speech should have had inklings to her reasoning. Instead she shows idiotic self assuredness and the cliché Harry can piss off he isn't my shepard trope. I hope you can somehow save this one, because you just cuckolded Harry.

Author's Response: I did know the reaction to the chapter from a lot of readers was not going to be a positive one, but this is the way I wanted the story to go. I agree with one of your points, and disagree others. Firstly I think you are probably right about the character development for Ginny. As the Author I completely understand what Ginny has gone and done and I hold no animosity towards her as a character, but that's because of how I've developed her in my head. The fact that many of the reviewers are furious with her probably shows the character development was transferred from my head to the page particularly well. As I've said, there is an explanation where Ginny is concerned, but Its up to the individual reader to decide whether it's a satisfactory one. Although I do believe her inner monologue has shown some inklings towards her reasoning. She has stated how hard she had to try to get over the fact she thought Harry had left her etc. I also strongly disagree with your description of Ginny as a slut. I've always found with reviewers on stories in this site in general is that they disregard Ginny as a slut as soon as she shows an interest in a man other than Harry. Don't forget that Ross has been her boyfriend for over a year, she isn't throwing her body at some unknown man. I, for one, would expect some degree of intimacy in a relationship like Ginny and Ross'. I also disagree with you statement that Ginny shows 'idiotic assuredness'. I would have thought Ginny having to convince herself there is a genuine 'love' felt between her and Ross would be showing the exact opposite of that-she has doubts. But hey, each to their own.
