The character of Severus is really well done in this story. He is not good, but nor is he a completely rude, evil git. You can see that he does have depth in this story, and I hope that he continues to be an important character as the story unfolds.

Author's Response: I wanted to explore the side of Severus that was revealed at the end of Deathly Hallows. Obviously his role in this tale will be a bit different and have a much more prominent part of the story. Thanks for commenting and the stars!

i enjoy your work,, i await future chapters,,,,,,,not a critique but the redemption of snape for me would be a potion that turns him into an albino with a big black sword that he secretly kills death eaters with

Author's Response: Hmm, your redemption dream for Snape is very interesting. Sounds like a magical version of Batman. Thank you for the review and stars, and Imhope you will like the further installments, as well.

Snape is exceptionally nice to Harry. I was just wondering if it would help Harry if he practices Occlumency together with Ginny. And lo and behold, Snape has the same idea and I'm pretty sure that it is a good idea. It was noteworthy that Snape accused Dumbledore that he had deliberately exposed Harry to the mistreatment of the Dursley’s. I'm curious to know what further surprises we can expect from this Snape. However, Dumbledore's point of view is kind of strange. Apparently he thinks, the more child abuse there is in the world the more people will have a strong personality.
Ah-yes. The events from Philosopher's Stone are running in the background. I was very curious to see how that proceeds without Harry. I'm just wondering if Ron and Hermione are already friends. Apparently, they were not involved in the incident with the troll. But this is certainly not (yet?) important here.
I wonder if the trip to Godric's Hollow will have an impact on Molly's relationship with Harry. Maybe she takes him a bit closer to her heart after she has seen the place of origin and the graves of his parents. Has Tom found his way to the Horcrux in Harry or is he just returned to the place of his disappearance? I am sure that we will know it someday...
I'm pretty sure that Harry will be fine. Finally, Ginny is with him.
Many thanks for another wonderful chapter!

Author's Response: You had a lot of questions for this chapter, and it sounds like it answered a few of them. Obviously, more will become known as the story unfolds, and especially once Harry and Ginny reach Hogwarts. As for Ron and Hermione, only time will tell, but you are correct that the incident with the troll doesn't really have much bearing on this story since part of the reason Hermione wound up in the washroom was because Ron was complaining to Harry about her. Molly most definitely should bring Harry closer to her after everything that happened in Godric's Hollow, so we will see about that. It was very insightful of you to think that perhaps Voldemort was drawn back to the place of his disappearance. That is the idea. Glad you liked the chapter and thank you very much for reading and commenting.

I didn't remember editing this chapter since I'd looked at it back in October of last year, so I decided to read it again. You've done a marvelous job showing both Harry's and Severus' memories so vividly and I can see why Severus is now trying to champion Harry rather than castigate him. You made me smile when Severus lit into Dumbledore for leaving Harry with the Dursleys because while Dumbledore seems to have had good reason for choosing to do so, giving Petunia and Vernon carte blanche to do as they wished is still incredibly mean! The trip to Godric's Hollow seems to be productive until the thing released in the Forbidden Forest swoops down upon Harry. Not good. I'm going to have to read chapter seven to remember what happens next!

Well done, my friend, well done.

Author's Response: Thank you, Arnel for taking the time to read through this chapter again - that means a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed it again and think it is moving along nicely. I'm still deep in my computer issues, but more to come soon, I hope. Thanks for the stars and commenting!

So, for some reason, Voldie's essence has returned to Godric's Hallow; and has managed to attack Harry.

Molly is still a bit 'stand offish' with Harry. Surely, with Harry having lived under their roof for almost a year now, she might have mellowed a bit.

Good chapter and awaiting the next one. 😊

Author's Response: Yes, you are correct that Voldemort was drawn back to the place of his death, and Harry just happened to be there. Bad timing, as usual for our hero. Molly is warming to Harry. I am not a big fan of Molly-bashing, but I also didn't want her to take immediately to him either, as I don't think that is how she would react. I'm glad you liked the chapter and thank you so much for commenting and for the stars!

Thanks for the update...I'll presume that Harry makes it to the next chapter!

Author's Response: I hope he makes it or this is going to be a very short story! Thanks for commenting and the stars!

So Harry is still rendered unconscious by Voldemort's wraith, even though he is many miles away. Interesting.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: Yes, but there is more to it than just that. Glad you liked the chapter and thanks for the stars!

Ah voldy just over played his cards again, but at lease Harry and snape are getting along and working together as best as snape ever can work with someone.kutgw

Author's Response: You are right. Voldemort doesn't always make the best choices - in ghost form or otherwise! Poor Snape, so misunderstood. Thanks for commenting!

Great story so far. Seems like a lot of the relationships/friendships will be different because of Harry and Ginny's soul bond. This was quite a cliffhanger, and I can't wait for the next chapter to find out what happens! Hopefully, Harry will be all right!

Author's Response: Thank you! I am glad you are enjoying the story so far! You are right, relationships will be a bit different since Harry didn't attend Hogwarts when we was supposed to and has forged a close friendship with Ginny. Only time will tell what the future will bring them!
