Remember Harry, even if you destroy all of the Horcruxes, that doesn't mean Voldemort will be instantly killed. He will still need to regain a full body of his own first.
Lol, I loved seeing the Slytherins get their asses kicked. Especially since they had no business being there!!! Snape is only the Potions Master; he is not in charge of Quidditch and Flying. That honor belongs to Madame Hooch. I wish Harry and Co had brought that fact up in canon. Shape really needs to keep his greasy nose out of other people's business, lol.
Yay, SUPER glad that Luna will be protected!!!! Don't mess with Luna Lovegood, you bullying Ravenclaws!!!!
Hahah. Malfoy got stomped. However, "Impedimenta" is not a Petrifying Jinx. "Petrificus Totalus" is. The Impediment Jinx slows down and stops objects and people.
Lol, the only way this chapter could have been better is if Harry get Malfoy with a Slug Puking Jinx, hehe. Although, I suppose that he didn't want to get in trouble and felt that would be pushing it, lol. Still, I really hope that Harry or someone, maybe Ginny or Luna, hits him with it in the future, xD. :)
One question though. Why isn't Harry going after Dumbledore? Dumbledore is the Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot. He looked the other way when Sirius was locked up by Barty.
Also, I really don't think that Bill Weasley could undo all of Voldemort's protections, traps, and curses, no matter how good he currently is. Lord Voldemort is bound to have used *numerous* obscure Darlk, evil spells on it. You can never underestimate the end, especially when said why is named Tom Riddle.
Speaking of whom, I wonder what dear old Lucy will think about the lack of attacks. And lol, I wonder what he and his fellow gangbangers think of the Quibbler articles, xD. Hopefully, they do not go after Xenophilius and Luna.
Hmm. I really don't like Harry giving money to the Malfoys that would only Kake them richer!!! Harry should find some other way to free poor Dobby. And preferably in a way that sees Lucy bouncing down some stairs like in canon, xD!! :)
I wonder how long before Madame Bones busts down the Crouch Family home. Hopefully, Barty Crouch Sr and Winky haven't moved him yet.

There were a lot of good, enjoyable scenes and ideas in this chapter. The main weaknesses were rather too much routine and unnecessary detail plus massive overuse of alliteration in the narrative and juvenile quips that lowered the quality.
Again, 7.5 minus 0.5 for each of the above = 6 (Acceptable.)

Harry did well in killing the Basilisk. I'm still lost on why. According to JKR, James had so much money neither he nor Lily needed to work, but now the money is all gone? I can't imagine they would have spent their entire fortune without a thought to the future or Harry.
The Quidditch scene was great as was Malfoy landing in jail. I hope Sirius will be freed soon. Its not fair that he's still sitting there. What's up with Snape? Why has he been so tamed? Is Dumbledore going to ask about Harry applying to other schools? I'm surprised no one had asked him about it yet.

Author's Response: Thanks 008Fan :) Goldtooth refused to pay for an overpriced elf with Potter Family Trust funds. I think he may have if the elf had been more closely priced at 500 galleons per estimated year of acceptable services rather then the 1000 Malfoy wanted. But we all know hard hard nosed those goblins are. About Snape, I must shake my head as well. I am not one to try and redeem him. I really think if Jo had at least had him strike at Riddle before he died maybe. But the character was to big an ass to be loved, But when I leaved through CS I noticed that in canon in just this one book Jo does not have him being his utter arsed self. Chagrined there as I had already wrote some stuff with it in mind to beard the lion but tossed it in the not in this story file. As I said before I had planned on a post holiday Sirius situation, but I have had to change a few things about so who the heck knows. Thanks Again

Well that was some massive chapter! It was mostly fun to read, except the walkthrough of the school schedule which I didn't see the point of. The letters to and from Gringotts were quite funny :)

Author's Response: Thanks for the comments Ski, and your continued reading. Who doesn't love Luna or hate Malfoy : ). Odd you mention the price, am sure you know the Drake Equation, no almost pun intended, just as a lot of the numbers used in it are subject to interpretation so is the price of Basilisk bits on the open market. Honestly I figured what something as rare as a basilisk would bring at market and when the numbers got above a reasonable amount I tossed the math out and set it at a number that didn't distract from my story. There are 7k minims in a pint. And you make a very valid point about Dobby as that is part of what enticed me to explore this 'redo' but I think we all know that will be a BIG scene and I have been putting it off. but your right to call me on it.

I'm really enjoying this story. At this rate, you'll have solved everything before Harry ever gets a date wth Ginny! Personally, I love your long chapters. I prefer that to barely getting to read anything. The only criticism I really have is the lack of proof-reading/beta editing. There's so many misspellings, punctuation errors that it gets hard to read at times.

Really enjoying reading this story. Young Harry is meticulous in his planning and accomplishing many important things rather quickly. I think it would be possible to leave out some of the class details from the story without detracting in any way. Looking forward to reading your next chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks for reading, reviewing and commenting M&A, as well as your continued interest in my tale, as you are the third to comment that I maybe adding more detail then desired I shall curtail it, however in explanation may I relate that on my personal list of 'books of note' is Hardy's Master of Five Magics in which he presents reasonable and detailed description of five different schools of magic and I think, not really having given to much thought as to why, that was what I was trying to do, not the class schedule but with the lessons

I am pleased that the friendship between Ginny and Harry is making good progress. Ginny seems to be very observant. I wouldn't be surprised if she asks more questions more She's certainly smart enough to challenge Harry, now when her shyness is fading. It will certainly be a fun.

Hermione is really the most nosy person in the whole wizarding Britain. I've often wished that Harry would shower her with oodles of curious questions in return. I would like to see her face when she is pressurized with questions in the way she likes to do with Harry, lol.
The punishment of Slytherin has been very non-canon like, but very satisfying.
Harry has now solved many of his duties for the second year. I wonder if he still needs the blood to distract Malfoy from the discovery of the diary.

Ups, I've nearly forgotten: I agree that the description of the classes is sometimes a bit too detailed. After a while I tend to skim those passages only.

Great chapter. I love that Harry is already friends with Ginny, and includes Luna so much. I also liked how he told her to tell the other girls they weren't adding new members. Since we all know they are not really her friends, and just wanted to hang out with Harry Potter. Love how Wood called her an odd Gryffindor for wearing Blue. I can't wait wait to see what Remus says about his little adventure to the chamber of secrets.
