I like this fic. It's lovely, fluffy as heck, pretty innocent and lighthearted, compared to some other fics here. The heavy focus on Harry and Ginny's relationship though, is dragging the story out a bit too much. your portrayal of the two kids is realistic. They're insecure, scarred and pubescent. They're discovering their bodies and you are very good at portraying that aspect.

I do hope you'll be careful not focusing too much on the small things, like presents and Harry being ashamed of his boner, and forget the main storyline: Harry and Ginny are moving to a new land to train for the upcoming war. One can only read so many trivial fights and conflicts that have no big impact on the story before it gets tiresome. That isn't the case yet, though. I'm still very much enjoying reading this, just because Harry's at least starting to show a little progress as a character. Speaking of which, you're one of the fanfic authors who tackles character growth well, and it's good to see that. Keep it up!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I hope I don't disappoint. Thanks for the kind words on the whole character development thing. I certainly try. Things will be awkward at times between them but that will slowly change. I hope you like the direction in which it goes.

Great chapter. Albus is a bit stuck with finding his professor for the Dark Arts position. Well, they say... What goes around, comes around. He is reaping his rewards for the lax way he 'fixed' the problems last year.
Looking forward to the next chapter.

Harry still has much to learn. He is very ignorant. No matter what Ginny wants, he ignores it without even know it. Be it that he is honest and opens up a little more, or that he should not spend so much money on her. He distrusts her feelings. Poor Ginny. Fortunately, she has a lot of patience. But I fear that Harry will not change. Harry will probably remain a difficult character throughout his life. Ginny may try as hard as she can, he will not open up. Fortunately, she isn’t impressed by his resistance.
On the other hand, it is not easy for Harry suffering full two weeks every month, a week before and a week after full moon. I’m curious how in the world he will learn something in the school when he is knocked out half of the month. They have a very busy schedule. Maybe a few days away from civilization in a hut in an impressive landscape would have been better for Harry.

Minerva is wonderful. I’ve always liked a strong McGonagall. Hard, but fair. And it was great to have Hermione and Ron in the story again.

A final note to my review of the previous chapter to explain my curiosity about their acrophobia. I am quite sure that Hogwarts about 300 ft high, it has a minimum of 7 floors, the towers should be even higher. And Harry saved Ginny from falling of the highest tower in TBW. In comparison, Neuschwanstein, which isn't the biggest castle, has 5 floors only, and a height of about 220 ft. That’s why I was a bit puzzled about the acrophobia. However, I won’t complain about it.
Many thanks for another amusing chapter!

Well written chapter. I loved the conversation between Albus and Minerva about the running of the school and the problem of keeping secrets. Ginny did a nice job explaining to Harry the issue of him buying her presents when she has clearly said no. Harry needs to learn to respect her words more. He also needs to be more honest about his feelings. That perfume is going to continue to make him sneeze, which rather ruins the point of her wearing it. Looking forward to reading about Virginia.

Author's Response: Thank you! I had fun writing that exchange between Minerva and Albus so I'm glad to hear you liked it. Ginny. She's ever so patient when she needs to be, isn't she? It's a good thing, too, because Harry could definitely try someone's patience. He'll learn but it'll take a while. It's hard to open up and admit something when you're used to keeping things bottled up. That kind of transformation doesn't happen overnight. Good to know you're still enjoying the story. Hopefully the next update won't take nearly as long.

While the previous chapter will always be a favorite of mine, this one is good too. I like it because you show Sirius intent on showing Harry and Ginny some of the historical sites that are really important to the development of the U.S. as a country. I also know you're busy setting up a hint or two for future chapters; I'd forgotten that you were doing this. I hope your other readers remember some of the clues you're dropping.

Oh, poor misguided Harry! He's trying to be so nice to Ginny and doesn't seem to understand that in some ways, she and Ron are very similar when it comes to monetary subjects. I'm glad she had the opportunity to explain her reasoning to Harry and in the end all is "back to normal." However, I don't think this is the end of Harry's generosity because being able to give things to a friend when he sees the perfect gift is so novel to him; at times I think he is trying to make up for his years of loneliness by showering Ginny with presents. I think he'll eventually learn, though, because Ginny will gently keep reminding him that he doesn't need to buy her love.

Well done.

Author's Response: You always amaze me with your insights on the chapters, even after you've looked them over for me! I guess that it helps that it's been a few months since you looked at this one. Yes, Harry will eventually learn, but old habits die hard. I think you're right about his generosity being tied to his years of loneliness.

Albus is up a creek with out a paddle and he has no one to blame but himself...as for harry, and crew they are doing it right and enjoying their time....kutgw

Author's Response: Glad you're still enjoying the story. And yes, it's all Dumbledore's fault. Has he learned his lesson? We'll see. It's very difficult to overcome some habits. Good to know that you feel as I do about Harry and crew's traveling. I just couldn't gloss over it. They are getting ever closer to their final destination though.
