Good chapter.
Lauren is lucky Ginny didn't get her alone...one bat bogey and she would keep clear of Harry and Ginny. Lucky, though, that Ginny can't use magic on her.
Loved the old time photo. These sort of things are what makes the journey, memorable.

Author's Response: Oh, I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter! They're almost where they need to be. Next chapter they'll arrive. Hope you end up liking the place.

Really enjoyed this chapter. The horseback riding was going so well until the very end. I was rather hoping they would end up in Virginia, but since that appears to have been only a brief stop along the way, I am going to guess that they may be going to Texas. Looking forward to reading the next chapter.

Author's Response: Glad to hear you enjoyed the chapter. There's always something, isn't there, to ruin things when they're going well? Texas? Good guess. You'll see next chapter.

Poor harry, he never seems to get a break...or in this case always get the break...at lease the healer understood what the situation was about....kutgw

Author's Response: Yeah, he seems to have the worst luck, doesn't he?

I'd forgotten about the delights of this chapter. The old-time photo could have been very risqué if Ginny had chosen to wear something different. The treetop adventure park sounded like fun. I know my son enjoys exploring the one at a mall close to our house, especially the zip line. I thought it funny that Harry thought he had to keep moving during the hour he and Ginny had at the trampoline park. No matter, though, since it seems they both had a great time bouncing about. I had to chuckle at Harry's reaction to the video games. Just like my son, he choice of the speed and shooting games made good fun; I'm glad Ginny enjoyed the hoop/ball game she was so good at, too. Finally, leave it to Ginny to discover a predatory female with designs on having Harry as a companion for the afternoon. I loved the way she insinuated herself between the girl and Harry while silently warning her to back off. Too bad the result was Harry's broken leg. That boy certainly doesn't need another encounter with Skele-Gro! All in all, a delightful chapter.

Author's Response: I guess that's the fun of you beta-ing this chapter several months ago, along with beta-ing several other stories. You tend to forget what happens and can discover it all over again. If only that happened in real life with HP. Ginny is good at finding them, isn't she? Or maybe Harry is? Ginny will definitely fight for what's "hers." It's probably a good thing she was more focused on Harry and getting him comfortable or there could have been trouble. Yeah, Harry just doesn't have the best of luck, does he? He might just want to try his hand at brewing Skele-Gro because it might just come in handy. Glad you still liked the chapter.

I love that Sirius let them sleep together after is transformation . It's not like he has the energy to do anything other than sleep after that, poor thing. Ginny is so good for him. Hate that horse girl! Lucky for her Ginny is such a great girlfriend and was more concerned for Harry so she didn't have time beat the crap out of her. That girl obviously has mental issues to do such a thing.

Author's Response: I definitely see Sirius as being more lax about some things, which is why he suggested Ginny stay exactly where she was and get some more sleep. As for the 'horse girl', she definitely is lucky because Ginny would willingly have resorted to physical persuasion if they'd been alone. I see her as a spoiled, petulant teen, used to getting what she wanted.

I am pleased that the two of them have such eventful holidays.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I've the feeling that Harry health status is worsen. He wasn't permanently so weak in the year before, right? OK, I mean, when he wasn't in the hospital wing because of his several injuries. I hope that his lycanthropy isn't worsened in the new environment.

Author's Response: You're right that he wasn't so utterly exhausted the year before. Yes, he was quite tired but not to this extent. Fear not, though, it's nothing serious. Being almost constantly on the go is tiring for the person in the best of health, which as we know, Harry wasn't at that time. All the traveling is just exacerbating the issue. He'll be better once he's settled.
