This was a great chapter.
Harry needs to learn..'a problem shared is a problem halved'. But, he is slowly learning that.
Hope Sirius helps to find Molly, Bill and Charlie, soon.
Looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you. Yes, Harry is slowly learning to admit to things. It'll just take some time. As for Sirius, well, you'll see.

So the Trip Wizard Tournament reaches out for Harry even across the ocean. Things did seem to be going too well for him. Glad Harry got that secret about his behavior out at least. When will he learn that things always go better when he doesn't try to keep secrets from Ginny?

Author's Response: Harry's life is never easy. It'll take Harry some time to learn that lesson, as a lifetime of those habits don't go fade so quickly but he'll learn it.

The more I read of Miss Lena, the more I like her. She's the sort of headmistress who makes time for each of her students, no matter how trivial/important the issue. When you juxtapose her with Dumbledore, the Hogwarts headmaster comes up distinctly lacking in this story, especially with his supposed "greater good" theory that has sacrificed Harry's well-being enough to have Sirius place him in Miss Lena's school!

The first visit to Magazine Street was quite interesting, especially Wolf Harbor. Ashton is quite creepy, even after he becomes friendlier towards Harry and Ginny. He makes me quite glad they have supportive friends at school so they won't have to seek out friends elsewhere.

Once again, I'm thankful for the supportive staff at Magnolia House. By the end of the chapter, Harry seems so much better after how wonderfully caring and concerned the teachers are about his problem. While some of the Hogwarts teachers show concern for the students, they don't go out of their way to brainstorm ideas as a group the way the Magnolia House teachers do. I know you've wanted to show the differences in the learning/social environments between the schools and this is just another positive point in favor of the American school. Maybe if Dumbledore wasn't trying to fight a war on top of running his school, things would be a little different.

Finally, let the games begin! Knowing Harry, he'll get himself into that tournament just because he feels responsible for what's happened to Molly, Bill and Charlie. In a word: scary!

Well done.

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, Magnolia House displays all the aspects of what a magical school should really be. Perhaps, as you say, if there wasn't the possibility of Riddle coming back, Dumbledore would have been different, but I'm not so sure of that either. There seems to be this disconnect between staff and students, a real formality there. A Head of House MAY go to Madam Pomfrey out of concern for one of "their" students, but I don't see them doing so for another student. As for Ashton, never intended for him to come across as creepy. LOL. Luckily, they won't see him much. Yes, the Tournament has inserted itself into Harry's life and there's no chance that Harry will simply ignore it.

Brilliant chapter! Especially love the new sub-plot with blackmailing Harry into entering the tournament. I was interested to see how that goes the moment it was revealed an American school will take part.

As for the more... 'carnal' aspects of Harry's desire for Ginny: He really shouldn't dawdle with telling her information like that. He should know by now that if he keeps things bottled up, it always is only a question of when he breaks, not if; and that ALWAYS turns out worse than it would have if he had talked. Glad Ginny managed to weedle that out of him before it was too late.

All in all, I'm anxious for the next (couple!) chapters!

Keep narrating,
Ranma-sensei

Author's Response: Thank you! It wouldn't be the Tournament if Harry wasn't in it! LOL. As for Harry speaking up, yes, he should have said something before this point. He's still learning to open up about things. One doesn't change a lifetime of habits overnight. I hope to have the next chapter(s) up relatively soon.

Great chapter! I am so glad Harry finally talked to Ginny, and she got him the help he needed. Hopefully this will prove that Harry can be more open with Ginny. Their Headmistress was right, they are not a normal couple, and therefore can not be held to the same standard. Even Ginny is feeling a pull to be more physical with Harry, she just isn't fighting it as hard as he is. I think the Headmistress is right they will be crossing that line sooner rather than later. Eventually Harry isn't going to be able to stop from claiming her, and I don't think Ginny is going to try and stop him. Lol
I hope Sirius is able to help find the Weasleys .

Author's Response: Thank you! Glad that part of the story has been so well accepted. I was afraid that people wouldn't like it, but so far no complaints. Things will come to their "boiling point" in a few chapters.

This story is so complex with so many twists and turns. Then, we read parts of conversations that make us wonder, what did Miss Lena tell Harry? What is Ginny experiencing? And, of course, I am so concerned about Bill, Charlie, and Molly. What a horrible situation! Definite cliffhanger, so I hope the next chapter will come soon. Really enjoying this story!

Author's Response: So glad to hear that! I intentionally left the conversation with Miss Lena vague to get your imaginations going. Things will be revealed in time though. As for Ginny, she's experiencing certain feelings when she's with Harry that normal 13 year olds don't often feel and her own feelings are growing. I hope the next chapter can come out soon. Chapter 19 has been a struggle, just hasn't wanted to be written. LOL

Really enjoyed the use of the chakras for protection, haven't read that before. And of course, Harry and Ginnys growing relationship, great chapter xx

Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed that part and that you haven't read a story that's included that before now. Yes, their growing relationship. That's been another big thing in this story. It will eventually come to the point where something will need to be done ... just not yet, though it is coming soon.

Oh boy now they are thinking about going back to help the wealseys...knew life was going to easy for the kids...then again harry has his own problems.....kutgw

Author's Response: Just when things are going good, well, we all know there's another shoe out there waiting to drop. Yeah, Harry his own issues but now that Ginny is aware, things will be a bit easier in that department.
