Not going well for Ginny, is it?

Author's Response: She's a tough girl though!

Marvelous depiction of the attempted sword theft! Just how you'd picture it from the second hand account we got in the book!
Terrific job on this chapter as usual! Always leaves me panting for the next one! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Author's Response: Thank you so much, you've no idea how much that's cheered me up!

100th review :) I am curious how the detention with Hagrid would look like. I have read some versions of it. Some was like fairy tale, some was like horror. I expect something in between...?

Author's Response: Yes, I don't want to badmouth other similar fics, but I've never really found them to be realistic in that respect, so I'm going to be working very hard on the next chapter, it's the one I'm most worried about. Hopefully the update won't be too long, but I'm very nervous!

Another great chapter. I really enjoyed how you explained their motivations in stealing the sword. Snape is wonderfully written, and the part with Kreacher was very interesting. Seeing this school year through the eyes of the students is a long missing element from the original.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, that all means a lot to me :)

I'm surprised the Carrows weren't present in Snape's office when he was meting out punishment to Neville, Ginny and Luna. I've always been under the impression that those two were quicker to appear when students were caught wrong-doing than ants at a picnic. I would have loved to see how Snape handles their eagerness for corporal punishment, especially since they have already assaulted Ginny. All in all, well done.

Author's Response: I nearly wrote them in, but I thought that they may push too hard for a nastier punishment - like Harry, I don't think the forest is a big deal lol :P I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

You know, I didn't know what to expect when I started reading this. I almost didn't, because I've come across a few disappointing alternate view fics, but this is really well done, with great characterisation that matches what I understand about Ginny and Snape and, heck, pretty much most of the those who show up. I'm enjoying the story on the whole. My only real point on contention is the muggleborns still attending Hogwarts. That said, I can't offhand recall that Colin and others didn't do this by hiding their ancestry...

Keep up the good work!

Author's Response: Thank you very much :) Colin is there because in the books it mentions him sneaking back to join the battle, so I assumed that he falsified his ancestry. However, I did remove other Muggleborns such as Justin Finch-Fletchly, and of course Dean. I'm glad you're enjoying the story!

Oh dear..... what a year this will be for the students. You know, the best time of one's life is actually going to school, university, or even just being part of a club or hobby group. Lots of planning and confrontations in this chapter. Realisthc.

Author's Response: Thank you :)

Snape's behaviour in the Deathly Hallows is very hard to write. Your Snape in this chapter was believable (for me) so good job. But it must be depressing for Ginny. She was so close. Poor girl. I am looking forward to the next one :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much, he's a tricky character but I really enjoyed writing this chapter :) I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

very good chapter. I found the scene with Snape in is office quite fascinating as to how he was wanting to know Harry's whereabouts from Phineas and Kreature, but from the outside it would appear that it's to aid the DE's.

Author's Response: Thank you! :D I really enjoyed writing it :)
