Bless Professor Sprout, Madam Pomfrey and Professor McGonagall, I shudder to think what would happen to the students if the Carrows managed to oust the three of them somehow. I've read stories in which all three were banned from associating with the students except in a classroom setting and Madam Pomfrey was not allowed to treat students who had been in detention. In those stories Ginny, Parvati, Padma, Susan and Hannah all learned basic healing spells to help those treated to the Carrows' special brand of detention. I hope this won't be the case in future chapters of this story.
It's hard to believe, but I'm actually cheering for Snape's efforts to keep the torturous punishments to a minimum. The Carrows are nothing but big bullies, but since they have Voldemort's support his hands are a bit tied when he tries to keep his promises to Dumbledore and protect the students as best he can.
Excellent chapter. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Great Chapter. My money is on Romilda - random student with a grudge. I suppose it could also be Zacharias mad about the Quidditch incident. LOVE the photo they chose of Harry over DD. I adored that scene and how it was Ginny's voice that got through to a grieving Harry. I'm so sorry I'm about to catch up and will have to wait with everyone else! How often do you post?
Author's Response: Thank you so much! As often as I can, usually at least once a week, though obiously as Christmas approaches I might be a little busy. I started this at the end of the summer though, so it's still quite a new fic.

Its more than time I left a few more stars and compliments for this wonderful story. I'm amazed each chapter how you're managing to weave a whole new story that feels so true to the books, and how well you expand on details like Potterwatch. I hope Ginny's not being overconfident with that last sentence, especially with the traitor still unidentified.

I'm actually surprised that Ginny didn't go a step further than Hermione and make all DA members take a vow before letting any one join. I see her as being a harder and stronger fighter than Hermione. Her ions was very smart with heading the paper, but I'm sure Ginny wouldn't let some traitor off so easily.

Oh! I would like to continue in reading. It has such an interesting, dark and unusual atmosphere.
So there were many of the teas :D
Snape's role is so unbelievable. He has to choose the words very carefully and smartly. Fortunatelly the Carrows aren't much smart themselves. Snape's behaviour is maybe the most difficult part of the wrtiting this story. And you did it great so far.
So traitor... I have absolutelly no idea who it is. Zacharias or Romilda would be much easy to guess and I think they aren't so brave. Maybe it will be someone we don't know.
Oh and the photo... another superb moment. I hoped Ginny would come to Harry in that photo but it wouldn't be good for her, right?
I love this story, that's for sure :)
