This really is a lovely story. And it's double fun when you read a second time and re-discovered new things in it ...
Many thanks for sharing!

I was able to keep track of the different Ginny's. This was. Lovely story.

All those Ginnys took a bit getting used to, but nonetheless, I enjoyed the story. You're right...everyone needs a dream of hope via one's future self and I think it was nice that the three different Ginnys ended up in the same paddock together and helped each other out. I enjoyed the story immensely. Well done.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you liked it! I feel like hope is one of the most important things we can carry with us. And I'm glad the multiple Ginnys weren't too overwhelming! Thanks :)

:) Nicely done, especially considering how convolute it could have been. You've struck a lovely balance and it works.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it Shalli! I worked hard for that balance, so I'm very pleased it came through.

Good story - really interesting to read, and the Ginny-tags made it quite easy to follow.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad there was something to sink your (mental) teeth into, and that you liked the Ginny-tags! I wanted to switch them up so they weren't repetitive but I still tried to make them clear.

Well hell, ARP! So, here I sit down for a bite to eat and a bit of light reading; when I look down after a few thousand words, the sandwich is barely touched, but it has tears dripped all over it. For shame!

This is, without a doubt, one of the best stories I've read on this site in a long while -- bravo!

You might want to have a little talk with the press agent who writes your leading A/N though. Advise, cajole perhap, but don't undersell.

I think there are two ways to read this story. 1) the Hermione Grangers of the world could diagram it out in order to be certain one knows who is who at all times (all the info is there, but it requires a bit of reader focus), or 2) you can just let it flow like a dream might.

A third way is to simply reread it a few times until it all takes a cogent shape in your mind. Most stories I wouldn't bother re-reading, let alone re-re-reading, but I'll gladly go back to this one.

Although there are a lot of things to like about this story, the one that rises to the top for me is that this is such a perfect encapsulation of everything that was, is and will be Ginny -- the worst and the best; the highest peaks and lowest valleys all woven together to define the person that many of us love most in HP.

Thank you for pulling this out of the dark depths of your hard drive!

Author's Response: Well this review made my whole day. :) I like thinking about your multiple ways of reading. When I was writing, I first wrote it like a dream, and then I spent a long time in Hermione Granger mode making sure each Ginny was the right Ginny! She is an incredible, multifaceted character and I'm glad you think I captured some of that. In a different world I would love to flip JKR's tapestry over and write her story through all the books...but in this world I am a first-year teacher and overwhelmed haha. I suppose I should also apologize for your sandwich...but mostly I'm too excited that I elicited such a response! I'm looking forward to the next installment of Splinters, which I'm following very closely. Thanks again for the review!

Sappy but nice. Loose the first "in" in the second sentence.

Author's Response: I do have moments of sappiness. I suppose everyone deserves one now and again.

This is different, but I like it. I like it a lot. And it wasn't as hard as I thought to follow everything. I guess this is kind of AU, since JKR says when time traveling (even in dreams?) you shouldn't confront a past or future self.

But perhaps, as Ginny says: "Not everything unexpected is bad." :)

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I hadn't thought about the time traveling bit. I guess the main reason to avoid yourself would be so you didn't curse one of you into oblivion, which you can't do in a dream...but since when has Ginny listened to anyone about what she should do?
