I loved it, especially the conversation between Ginny and Harry.
And in the end ... apparently, Harry still needs to learn that showing-off won't help him with Ginny. I sincerely hope that she can save him.
Author's Response: Thank you for the review! Harry and Ginny never really talked about the Chamber, so I wanted to explore what that might look like. I also liked the idea of giving Ginny the chance to be the hero and not the damsel in distress :)

Hi! I was really amazed by your story.The first half, there are lots of dialogues in which you described the mind movement between Ron and Harry, Ginny and Harry very well. I enjoyed them all. I really like the idea Harry confunded Dean at the party.
The latter half, I didn't expect this at all. After happy time with Ginny, the troubles found Harry again. I hope his failure will be fixed into a lucky one in the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks! Yes, Harry is suffering the consequences of recklessness. He really matures in HBP, so I thought it might be a little out-of-character for him to be making decisions like that at this point (which is one reason why I made it AU). However, he does give in to his baser thoughts and instincts as he develops feelings for Ginny in HBP, so I thought it wasn't completely unbelievable that he might be driven by a desire to show off for Ginny and end up in trouble!

Excellent start, but I did not know there were any lakes so deep near the Burrows.
Author's Response: Thanks! HP Lexicon says there is a "small lake" at the Burrow, so I ran with it. It could be a stretch, but I figured even six feet of freezing water would be enough to make it hard for him to swim out. But that was one of the many reasons I decided this would have to be AU instead of simply a missing moment.
