Another great update! I'm so happy you didn't have Ginny easily best Harry in their duel. He's the one who has to defeat Voldemort, so I thought it was much more realistic this way. Loved that he used a Tickling Jinx as his spell. Too cute! I'm eager for the meeting with Grindelwald and really wonder what he'll be like. Nicely done!

I loved Harry and Ginny recruiting for Dumbledore's Army in Germany! And those poor kids, barely knowing any magic and wanting Harry and Ginny to show what 'a real wizard's duel' was like. I want to hug those poor children! And they only have one wand between all of them. :( I have a niece and nephew, so that bit really broke my heart.
Also, Harry and Ginny realizing they distract each other (the flirting!) and making a plan to practice so it isn't a problem in a real fight.
I loved this chapter, great job!

Interesting exchange between Harry and Ginny. Something tells me that Ginny would be just fine with her kiss on the cheek being misconstrued.

Oh, what a pity. I'd hoped that Ginny would win the duel, just to show the still a wee bit too big-headed Mr. Potter, what he'd almost missed on the horcrux hunt without Ginny on his side.
Oh, and quite casually, one of my previous questions hit me again. I'm still curious how the Trace works abroad. Obviously, Ginny could duel with Harry and nobody noticed. Strangely enough, none of the attendees questioned the fact.
Intriguing chapter. I'm looking forward to meeting Grindelwald, and, even more, Ginny knocking some sense into Harry. His decision to break-up with Ginny wasn't noble, it simply was idiotic.
Author's Response: I couldn't find anything in canon about the trace in other countries. I doubt the Ministry's version works in other countries and that's what they're worried about. We'll see if other countries treat underage magic the same way and whether that creates complications for them. Thanks for reading!

Good chapter.
Considering that Harry and Ginny were boyfriend / girlfriend during Harry's sixth year, and this is set the following year, they seem very standoffish towards eachother. Harry apologies to Ginny at dinner for the outcome of the duel. Ginny goes to bed and gives him a quick kiss on the cheek, letting it linger just long enough to not be misconstrued. These actions are not the actions of usual boyfriends / girlfriends.

Author's Response: Their distance is all him and he explains it a bit in a previous chapter. He shut himself off from her in order to break up with her at the end of the sixth book and go on the hunt. He's coming around to the idea that she's with him to stay and that he might as well embrace his feelings. She, on the other hand, has been trying to get him to understand that since the beginning. I'm reading too many stories at once, plus editing my own, so I tend to have problems with conflating them in my mind. As such, I get antsy with Harry and Ginny not recognizing what is happening between them -- or if they are, not doing anything about it. Still, I am enjoying your story very much. Thank you for sharing it with us.
