Well done, as always!
I think the most interesting part was offering object lessons from the practice duel, and being able to produce wisdom that I haven't heard elsewhere in fanfic. Although Rowling actually discussed remarkably little of the dueling practice (the episode in CoS was an intriguing primer, but was far more geared to advancing non-duel plot points), she painted the rough outlines of a rather fascinating mode of engagement. Potentially even chess-like in its deceptive complexity.
Anyway, today I believe I have the time to notch another chapter of this story, so more anon!
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I actually researched dueling practices (what I could find about Rowling's thoughts on the subject, as well as the history of fencing and pistol dueling in Britain) prior to writing this chapter. It was extremely fascinating!

I know I haven't reviewed your story but I do love it. I know you can't go over the talk because of rating issues but I'd like to know what the boy's reaction to the talk was after Sirius and Remus left. Will Harry also be taking windless lessons?
Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing! I'm glad you're enjoying the story! I did not write the boys' immediate reaction to the talk; however the next couple of chapters will show a reaction of sorts. Harry will be having lessons in wandless magic over the summer. More on that in a few chapters!

Will Amortentia help Anna with her decision? She'll barely have a chance to see Charlie to get to know how he smells, and she haven't seen him much in the past to remember...We will see...
... and Harry? To be honest, I somehow gave up hope that he'll see the light anytime soon, and notice what he smelled in Amortentia.
Is there a chance to persuade you to write an outtake about The Talk between Tonks and Anna? I'd imagine that it is even more interesting than The Talk with the boys.
On the other hand, The Talk would also be a nice topic for a challenge, wouldn’t it?

Author's Response: Thank you! I completely agree that The Talk would be a fascinating topic for a challenge. Unfortunately, I'm not at all sure I would be able to contribute. I actually began writing The Talk between the guys, but it quickly pushed the R rating (Sirius's fault of course). After deleting that attempt, I considered writing the scene between Tonks and Anna; however, I quickly decided that the conversation would also push the limits (Tonks seems likely to be a bit too free and specific with details. I can't picture her as anywhere even close to a prude!). As for the Amortentia, progress soon I promise!!!!

Well love makes the world go round and this chapter sure had a wicked turn! Really enjoyed the amortentia bit -- Harry obviously was smelling reminders of Ginny and I'd bet a galleon that what Anna was smelling sounds a lot like a description of Charlie! (wink wink) Remus is certainly protective of Anna and needs to be! Hate that she is still clearly suffering from what Dorko tried to do to her and that Harry suffered an unfortunate by-product! (I think a lot of us readers would like to see you make that unfortunate accident happen to Dorko -- hint hint)! Would love to have been a fly on the wall during the boys' sex talk with Sirius and Remus- had to have been a classic! Brought back memories of when I did the deed with my daughter and my two sons (yes, I handled my daughter's too which says a lot about why I'm no longer married to her mother)! Looking forward to the next one! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'll admit I had a lot of fun writing this chapter. Harry and Anna definitely learned something by brewing Amortentia. The next few chapters will make that far more clear! I actually started to write the scene of The Talk with the boys, but scrapped it because Sirius was getting far too graphic (don't want to push the R rating quite that much!!!). And, as always, thank you for making me laugh!!!

Simply marvellous! I must start by apologising for completely forgetting to review the last few chapters - I have been reading as soon as they've been online though.
I love the subtle little Remus and Tonks spending time alone there. Like Charlie, she's another character I find fascinating and underused.
Huge yay for the appearance of Charlie last chapter (I'm still more than willing to take him.off Anna's hands!) I love the idea here of the Amortentia. Wonder who Anna could smell... And hopefully by you exposing Harry to that something flowery earlier he'll not be as dense as in the book and realise his feelings for Ginny a lot sooner.
Anyway, huge well done for the rather excellent tale you're weaving. I'm already looking forward to the next instalment...feel free to make my week with another appearance of You-Know-Who. The nice, friendly red headed one, I mean. :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you're enjoying the story. I had to sneak a little opportunity for Remus and Tonks. It took them far too long to get together in the books! JKR definitely did provide us with several characters that we can easily expand upon, Charlie and Tonks among them. As for a friendly red head, I do believe we will see one next chapter!
