The Leaving Feast "Special note to Thestral: Did you actually read this story? This is, has always been, and will always be, a H/G fic. I’m firmly planted on that ship, but if you don’t like it, you can always stop reading." Reviewer: CodeRomance Signed Date: 2007.06.16 - 02:56PM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast nice fluff! you do have a sequal to this dont you? Reviewer: txreina Signed Date: 2006.03.12 - 07:46PM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast I'm so sad it's almost over. Though I should probably also be glad now Ican get back to my schedule. I'm not really complainig I've love every minute reading this story. You rock! Reviewer: swishandflick Signed Date: 2004.12.06 - 02:32PM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast This chapter certainly wasn't fluff! Some very intense emotions between the characters and your characterizations of the emotional wavelengths of the characters remains this story's great strength. I especially like the way you did Ron. It's hard to make someone change in a story because of the traumatic events they experience. Harry's character changes a lot in canon for this reason but you showed us in this chapter how it changes Ron, while still keeping true to his original character. Hermione is well dealt with to: her confrontational pushiness against Harry and Ron's need to withdraw and sort their own feelings out. I love how Harry understands Ron in this way, too. One hopes he will prove just as sensitive in canon as the books go on. Great work! Reviewer: Katieay Anonymous Date: 2004.07.18 - 11:59AM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast Awww.... so cute! All of that was so cute! Dumbledore's speech was completely appropiate, even if Ron... my poor, tragic Ron ( :o( ) didn't like it. I think it's interesting that no one looked Ron's way when Malfoy *spit* was mentioned, has that been all hushed up then? And the parallels between both Pansy and Cho... and Ron and Harry were superbly written in this chapter! I'm loving every sentence and I don't want to read the last chapter. I'm crossing my fingers that you have an A/N that says "I just couldn't stay away and have started a sequel while Katie was away and will be posting it up soon!" ;o) Thanks for the Conquering Writer's Block tip LOL Katie Reviewer: Kimmy Anonymous Date: 2004.07.01 - 05:15AM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast Sorry! I would have reviewed earlier but Bandwidth limit thingy kept me out! Sorry! Anyway, That chapter was sweet. I liked the feast, Respectful and all. And Ron, well, He'll figure it out soon I guess. I cant wait until the summer holidays, It looks promising. =D. More soon, Kimmy Reviewer: bart Anonymous Date: 2004.07.01 - 02:13AM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast Ah! at last a chance to review! another wonderful chapter, in a story which just keeps getting better and better! Reviewer: cmh Anonymous Date: 2004.06.24 - 09:26PM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast Melinda,
That was a filling installment. With a little fluff, several touching moments and a little ground work for the sequel we all hope to start reading in a few months, it was enjoyable to read. I could almost see the kids in the Great Hall as Harry was working out how to handle Ron. They are all trying to work things out without losing each other.
We've been waiting a while for Harry to tell Ginny how he feels. That was well done. Ginny afraid she was facing an argument; Harry looking for the words; that was cute!
This made a good end to a long day. My desire for the next chapter is tempered by the knowledge that the end of this tale is upon us.
Patiently,

I love how you made Hermione bring up the Dursleys, as that is what Hermione would do. You really have done a fantastic job of keeping all the characters in character. Harry really has matured very nicely. I can't wait for the sequel. I have a feeling it's going to be great, as you're an amazing writer. You surpass my expectations as every chapter comes along, GREAT JOB! -Wishful_Thinking Reviewer: ally Anonymous Date: 2004.06.24 - 06:26PM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast Is it over? I hope not, you didn't say finished at the end so there will be another chapter,, right? Well done on this one.

I am glad you decided to share this with you. Keep up the great work. Reviewer: Gillian Anonymous Date: 2004.06.24 - 04:06PM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast Great job!! I loved it!! LoL, your story was too funny! Great job!! Poor Ron!!! I thought, personally, what Dumbledore said was kind of mean to Ron, you know when he was like, he was only 17 and had a long life ahead of him. Poor Ronnikins!! Great job!!! I loved it! So sad that its over!!! Can't wait until the sequel!
Brilliant job, it has been a pleasure!!! Reviewer: cindale Anonymous Date: 2004.06.24 - 03:29PM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast Well, I hope Harry's learned a thing or two. I like how he's giving Ron his space - it shows he's maturing. Looking forward to the last... and the sequel.

(Our kids are the same age!) Reviewer: Irish_Lass08 Anonymous Date: 2004.06.24 - 02:00PM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast That was great. Great. Absolutely great. It's almost 2 oclock in the afternoon, and i just woke up. You know what I did instead of getting dressed, showering, all that stuff? I thought "hmm, i have to leave the house at 3, but I really want to check SIYE to see if The Power of Emotions is updated. AND IT WAS! Now I'm going to be late, but that's ok. Totally worth is. By the way, if you don't write a sequal to this, I'll have to hunt you down and torture you with the Chinese Water Torture until you write one. Have a lovely day! Reviewer: Elizabeth Anonymous Date: 2004.06.24 - 12:25PM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast You've sent my H/G heart in a flutter! He said I love you! And in typical Harry fashion. I must commend you for that. It's typical for Harry to have a hard time saying it, because those damn Dursleys messed him up. Whoa, Ron. I can smell the angst all the way from here. He's turning into Harry isn't he? Did you have them switch bodies? I know it's going to eat away at Ron for a long time, and Hermione is just the person to help him. Are you going to put more R/Hr in the sequel? And nice touch, with that Simon Duffy. I know we often don't think about it, but nameless people save our lives every day. :)
Reviewer: Oliver Anonymous Date: 2004.06.24 - 11:58AM Title: 36. The Leaving Feast I don't know, I think the fluff level in this chapter was just right considering Harry's condition and all. Wouldn't he sleep through any more than you had? And am I correct in assuming you only have 1 more chapter? Saw a previous post that said you're doing a sequal. That'd be great, what with Dobby at the Dursley's and all. This has been one of my favorites ever since your first chapter. Cheers! | |||||||
