Wow sad. First I was sad at the nice-Dudley getting Kedavra'd. But what really struck me was: "There certainly had been no dog at Grimmauld Place, not for over a year, anyway." At that point I remembered that Sirius was dead. And whoa I got real close to crying. I thought the dog-curling-up-next-to-Harry was awesome and I did not remember the timeline of this book (as I haven't read your first one in awhile) was post-OOTP. *sigh* Sad. But very well done however.

As ususal a fabolous chapter. I have to tell you though, it bothered me that Harry thought Ginny was a coward. Besides the fact that it's not true, it isn't a very nice thing to think of one's own girlfriend.
I look forward to your next update. Please finish the story even if it takes until after July 16.
Author's Response: Oh, come on, don't tell me you've never called your significant other names in your head. Ginny called Harry the coward a few chapters back when he let her deal with Bill alone. Now she did the same with he and DD. It's just teasing, and kind of healthy, I think, actually. Don't worry, Harry knows Ginny isn't a coward, and vice versa.

I have to say that this set of stories is REALLY long but I really enjoy them. The Power of Emotion is defentily my favorite fic. I really like this chapter update soon.

First and foremost, I would like to wish you a very happy Christmas! Hope the holiday is treating you well as it is for most of us.
Onto my review... that chapter was very good. I'm hoping that there will be a period in the next up-coming chapters that Harry'll just open up and tell them everything. I mean EVERYTHING, you know what I mean? Honestly, how can the Weasleys truely help him out if he doesn't tell them everything? Then again, Harry DOES keep his emotions in careful check, but it'd be a nice read nonetheless.
It's a pity that he doesn't feel remorse though. Because I had lost my grandmother on my mother's side, but I didn't really feel the loss as hard as most, but only because I didn't know her all that much, you know? I figured in a sense, Harry knew his relatives... all that they were about, but yet was still excluded and secluded in his cupboard under the stairs... five years old and loked in a broom closet?? C'mon, that's gotta leave some scars!
Anywho, my apologies for rambling on... I do that at times. I hope that you would take what I have said into consideration... I doubt that you would, it's like telling the son not to rise for a day or two, LOL! But I wouldn't be a decent fan if I didn't make a suggestion or two, LOL! Keep up the good work, and enjoy the holidays... hope to see the next chapter when u can post it!
Author's Response: It has left scars, but I don't think he had any strong attachment for them, so I think he'd be confused about his feelings. I don't think Harry will ever be emotionally open with all the Weasleys, as much as we'd like to see it. Ginny has brought him forward a long way, and I think he'll continue turning towards Mrs. Weasley. Ron will always be his support, but I'm just not sure he'll ever be comfortable with a whole lot more. He'd support any of the Weasleys with his life if he had to, but he'd be reserved about turning to them for the same.

me and heckle cause trouble at school, hang out together all the time, and we tell jokes that only we get, but we're very good teammates! and if one twin is in trouble, we help them out, so they wont get in trouble! example: 'My sister didnt set fire to that trashcan! she was hanging out with me!'

i must admit that i love this chapter!
and i am also glad hbp is coming out July 16 no one can be more excited than me. Why did dd have to ruin the moment just when harry had a little comfort:) i am also glad to see harry opening up i belive he finally relized he can do that. I just hope that harry can open up to the rest of the weaslys and relize all that mrs. weasly does for him. Anymore fluff coming up soon?

Author's Response: Yes, more fluff coming up, but there is another angsty chapter to get through first. Harry is still learning to be open with Ginny, he has his moments where he reverts, but its a big step for him. I don't think he'll ever be the type of person that is open and expressive with a lot of people.

Yet another fabulous chapter!!!!! I completely agree with all of the wonderful things my sister said below in her review of this chapter. (I blame Shannon solely for getting me completely addicted to your writing. That and my decreased productivity at work :-)
I actually printed out PoE and will be passing it on to my mom at Christmas. I am 100% certain after the first chapter she will become just as addicted as we are.
